I think FIFA should seriously consider making an exception in this case, to prevent the greatest tournament on Earth going to a grassrolling team which buys and naturalizes Brazilian players.
    you live in England?
To be honest, Australia have made a good campaign in hosting 2018 World Cup, and it certainly looked more impressive in Qatar in a way.

I'm hoping Qatar gets it (check the Blatter thread) as I lived there most of my life & they treated me like a prince.
There are over 20.000 iranians living in qatar now (you'll see them in January) and if iran makes the final we'll be like playing at home (wait n see).

I want England to get 2018 then Doha 2022 and inshalla I'll be in both. I can't imagine iran playing in St James park, watta day that'll be.

I was looking at Qatar's website for the bid, (in which they frequently referred to the body of water South-West of Iran as the A****** Gulf, I might add)...and I noticed that none of their proposed stadiums will have a capacity greater than 50,000.

Is that what the world really wants?? to play football in a stadium that has been designed to look like a snail/lizard and which can only seat 45,000?...when there are world class stadiums around the world that can seat 90,000+ ??? I honestly don't think so.

I stopped watching after they mentioned the "Ar**** Gulf".

Actually I was impartial about them hosting the WC, but after seeing that false term I hope they don't get it!
Persian Pride running through my veins!

They are planning 7 more brand new stadiums. The city of Doha is shifting slowly to the north of west bay, there's a whole new city being built called lowsail, its gonna have a new club with a huge stadium check it out.

Yes the persian gulf issue hurts but end of the day this is sport, we need to concentrate our efforts on our people not a name of a beach. I'll worry when BBC calls is Arabian gulf.

When iran beat USA half of the country was out on the street, I'll never forget it, no one forced them, when we beat them in WC2006 3-2 everyone congratulated me and told me we hope iran lift our heads up in Germany.

You think Australians or English like us? Try to travel with an iranian passport there and you'll see the treatmen we'll get in Sydney or Heathrow.

Politics should never mix with sport, hate breeds hate. (Are you listening MR Keabi kabab)?

So for the sake of qataris (which you seem to indicate are your people) Iranians should support a World Cup bid that abuses the name of the Persian Gulf?
So who else can do damage with their rep power? Here is a good opportunity to exercise it!
Hopefully qatar's snail looking stadiums will sink into the Persian Gulf and the tazis hopes of hosting a World Cup will be dashed.
Happy Persian Gulf Day to everyone. It's today.

                    "name of a beach" ???

Sir, The Persian Gulf embodies thousands of years of established history and heritage in the region. I dislike the tone you use to palm off this issue, belittling the matter by referring to the Persian Gulf as a mere "beach" that should be relegated in our list of priorities.

The BBC usually refers to it as "The Gulf", using the excuse of wanting to adopt neutrality. Although, on occasion they do refer to it as "The A****** Gulf" in some programmes and broadcasts...and I have made threads/official complaints about this previously.

The Arab states' campaign to insult and abuse Iran is well underway, as we frequently see. It is up to the true Iranians out there to safeguard their heritage, and raise opposition to such abuse. They can also do this by not supporting the bid of a nation that so openly insults Iran.

To be fair, most Arab states love Iran because Ahmadinjead is an extremist clown who:

                    A) Diverts attention from their own countries

                    &

                    B) agree with his ideological hatred of Israel and support for Arab terrorism.

and in 1998, they most likely viewed our victory over the decadent, capitalist USA as a victory for the 'moslem world' or something along those lines, but when it comes to all other matters...our 'moslem brothers' will gladly stab us in the back.

As I said, ignorance breeds ignorance, hate breeds hate. Please don't watch the Asian snail cup next year or the world cup 2022.

No wonder 99.9% of the world hate us, its people like you who cause that & unfortunately when someone like me tries to make a change he gets stabbed ib the back by his own people.

Edit: The "change" you were trying to make was trying to get Iranians to accept a false name for the Persian Gulf so a tazi country could host the World Cup. And he wonders why Iranians didn't like his comment...

So what happens if they all call it persian gulf? Will you all like them? Not look down on them (like most of you do already)?

When they support us its because we are fanatics & then they hate us its jealousy?

Guys, this is a sport forum that lost its whole purpose completely.

My father told me one that no one is better than me & I'm not better than anyone, be good to people then you'll get your rewards.

I love iran more than all of you put together, I'm just sick of politics & bullshit. Happy persian gulf day? I'm out at work trying to put food on my family's table & you lot are bouncing around for a name? Wasn't the mullas who invented it?

Its the persian gulf, is, was, always will be. Let them call it the hell they want. We all know its the persian gulf.

All these years of university & projects management & I'm arguing about this? Its sad what happened to PFDC

If you are dissatisfied with PFDC feel free to join another online board where calling the Persian Gulf by a ficticious name isn't frowned upon. Perhaps you would consider that putting your years of university & projects management to good use.

If you guys want to take some action, you can go on Qatar2022 youtube page and thumb up all the Persian Gulf comments (since the top rated comments will now appear at the top of the comment list). This way whenever people scroll to see the first few comments, they'll see the PERSIAN GULF.

As long as there are people like you there'll never be peace.

Politicians call people like you one eyed (000.000 flexibility, think they know everything while they know nothing, don't listen, don't want to too).
