And since he was born in Sweden, according to Swedish law and FIFA regulations he is Swedish as well and can play for Sweden.

"I think that is an old story. Even Bosnia, they were speaking that I would play for them, but, my mother is born in Croatia and my father in Bosnia, but I'm born in Sweden, I'm a hundred per cent Swedish. I represent Sweden with big honour, so I don't think there was any moment that someone asked me if I would play for Croatia or Bosnia, So I don't think this was a question for me. I never think about it because it was not a question for me."

I'm not taking any sides here but Ibrahimovic says^ he never even considered Bosnia or Croatia. Doesn't say anywhere Bosnia didn't want him.

You would. But Zlatan lined up for his own country.

He's saying that know, I think it's his ego. But his father initially took him to Bosnia but the BiH federation rejected him. Then once he got famous they invited him to play on their B team but it was more of an insult than a real invite. Post war Bosnia was struggling with identity and a lot of people in the country had a hatred/jealousy of Bosnian's abroad. Not to mention a very corrupt football federation. Think of all the people in Iran who were against Zandi or Dejagah or even Beitashur. Those people were in charge of the BiH federation at the time.

Here are a few articles. One's in swedish but tells the story, the other in english with a small part about it.

Crucial decisions were fumbled. One example was the missed opportunity to recruit Zlatan Ibrahimovic, one of Europe's top stars who now plays for French side Paris Saint-Germain.

Near the start of his career, his Bosnian-born father said he wanted Zlatan to play for the national side. No one from the federation pursued the possibility, former officials and local media say, and now the striker captains Sweden, the country of his birth.

Not the country whose blood he has.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

Blood was not a measurement under Swedish law for him to be Swedish.

That doesn't change facts. If a law passes in the US that a cow is in fact a dog, I will still see it not being a dog.

Maybe you will maybe you won't, but the law is what's important. When the US passed a law and said that the Patagonian toothfish was now called Chilean Sea Bass, everyone listened and called it by its new name.

That said, under Swedish law and Fifa requirements, Zlatan is Swedish. If people don't like it they can try to change the law. Until then the law is to be followed.

Cows and dogs are two different kind of animals. Me and Zlatan are both Human. Hence the fact he can be as much swedish as anyone else and so can i.

The law does not apply to facts. A cow is not a dog regardless of what the law says. I may obey the law and call a cow a dog when the law questions me, but it doesn't mean I agree with it. I'm not saying I will fight and draft petitions to make sure the Bosnian guy never wears a Swedish jersey again, however, I will acknowledge that he is not in fact Swedish as he has no Swedish blood.

Boys and girls are different kinds of humans. Can you switch from one to the other just because you decided to? A better example of course would be red and white blood types. Could you declare your A blood type B simply because you have been living around people with B blood time for a while?

The blood type was an example to show how rules don't change reality.

So is electricity. Now let me see if you will stick your finger in an outlet as you don't consider it reality.

Countries are determined by land borders. How can blood come from land?
