Faghani to be the Fourth referee in the Opening World Cup match

Persianfootball.com – SAO PAULO, Today, FIFA announced the Iranian referee Alireza Faghani will be the fourth referee in the opening World Cup match in group A between Brazil and Croatia.

Faghani became a referee in 2007 and a year later he got his FIFA badge.

The Iranian referee is well know for giving a red card to Ronaldinho during the third place soccer match between Guangzhou Evergrande FC and Atletico Mineiro at the Club World Cup tournament in Marrakech, Morocco, Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013.

FIFA has selected Japanese referee Yuichi Nishimura to handle the opening game and he will be joined by compatriots Toru Sagara and Toshiyuki Nagi as his assistants.

The opening game between Brazil – Croatia will start at 00:30 Tehran time on June 12, 2014.
