Olympique Marseille Interested in Iran’s Sardar Azmoun: Report
Tasnim – ROSTOV, French football club Olympique Marseille has shown an interest in signing FC Rostov forward Sardar Azmoun, Tutto Mercato Web reported.
The Italian site has reported that the French club is going to sign the 21-year-old Iranian striker.
Azmoun has already linked with a January move to Liverpool.
Several Premier League clubs, Everton and Stoke City among them, have expressed interest in signing the ‘Iranian Messi’.
The Iranian has carried his goalscoring form into Rostov’s Champions League campaign this season, playing an influential role in its progress through the qualifying rounds with goals against Anderlecht and Ajax and also scoring against Atletico Madrid in UCL group game.
Azmoun joined Rostov in February 2015 on loan from Rubin Kazan, which appealed to the Court of Arbitration –and lost– when his current employers triggered what Kazan claimed was a non-existent buy-out clause this summer.
