    Irony?...

Well, with 2 games now under our belt and 2 losses for us to claim, taking a look back, I see quite the ironic picture!

Our so called legionaires were completely outshown by our highly motivated IPL stars...

Players such as Nekounam, Kaebi, and Teymourian impressed much more than Karimi, Mahdavikia and Hashemian. Of course, the injury situations as well as the news of the disarray in the TM camp most probably had a part to play, but as you step on the field in an Iranian jersey, you play a significant role in the daily lives of 70 000 000 in your nation and many more abroad.

I don't believe either of our legionaires showed the fight and courage necessary to achieve our goal (whether injured or not), but our IPL warriors fought against Figo and Ronaldo with so much heart and courage, that they made me proud.

Just think what it could have been with a motivated Karimi, Kia and Hashemian! If only they were able to show the determination the other's showed! Even the highly critisized Mirza somewhat came through for us in moments where my heart was beside my ankle, and my stomach turned inside out.

In the end, one could wonder how it would have turned out with different players, different tactics, different...

but let's face it guys, realistically, chances were always slim.

I, for one, am happy enough that we still have another game to look forward to, and hopefully, a win to boost our pride.
We thank and support Mr.Kamran Delan for many years of dedication and service to Iranian Football Community.

After seeing the games past two days, it was like a salt on the wound

Guys please watch Ghana Vs. Czech, US Vs Italy, Japan Vs. Croatia and to top it all Aussies Vs. Brazil. After seeing these spirited effots by these underdogs, I kept wondering what if Iran had stepped up with that attitude on the field.

If that god damn coach, had empphasized enough on the god damn coniditioning. Please don't tell me it is IPL duty to deliver the players to the national team fit.

It is the coach's job to take a fitness test at the begining of the camp (for the last camp before WC, Branko had the national team for 2 months), and if they did not pass the fitness test, he should have worked on it. Not to mention he had them for 4-5 years and he should have known their relative fitness.

What an opportunity was lost, Iran was in the easiest possible group and we butched it. I bet you guys, neither Mexcio nor Portugal will get anywhere in this tournament.

Down with this attitude of lack of self confidence and setting the bar low for our national team.
"When I see the good in you, you get motivated, feel good about yourself and that creates synergy. It creates an environment where everybody can work better together. I think in the Iranian culture it becomes very ordinary to always see the bad in each other."
Afshin Ghotbi ( Former TM Head Coach)

Nasser Hejazi was the Takhti of our football.

I dont see why we are surprised at the outcome of events here !

such a fate was foreseen more than 2 years ago.

branko's illogical over-reliance on "names" that over-ruled any sensible selection ,

his laj baazi and obstinacy over many issues that were clearly not for the good of the team, and only fortold the harm that we see now,

branko's fear of facing a worthy opponent even when we confirmed our qualification,

and many other factors such as dadkan's ruinous mis-managment and ...

it was written all over the past 2 years, with all those performances , laj baazi's, intollerances, denials, .... .

I dont see any irony here either.

all I see is the continuation of the miserable pattern that was set more than 2 years ago for the team by its coach, staff and IFF.

it was CLEAR AS DAY that such events would take place !
      yes, clear as day .

yet, man's obstinate nature and irrational insistence on his old beleifs and ords forces him to maintain the flawed stance he took a long time ago, and not accept the truth or reality.

the reason of irans performance in this worldcup is nothing but stamina and fitness of our players. thats it. (ofcourse disunity in TM camp is the biggest problem but wat i mean is wat our weakest point was compared to other teams)

branko, daei, nosrati, mirzapour are only secondary reasons which could even be covered if we had the right fitness level for the worldcup.

But overall, there are a lot of reasons, outside the football world which has made not only our football but our great nation to this miserable state!
