If you think that was bad officiating, you should see Tunisia and Ukraine game. That ref should be suspended.

Yeh Shevchenk's dive was really the most professional and beautiful 'Schwalbe' I've ever seen in my life.

If it was done on purpose tho, which I believe it was...

Edit - The Dutsch TV showed that it his foot got hooked, so it wasn't done on purpose after all.
Persian Pride running through my veins!

      Esteghlal for life!!

        Haji jaan:

I agree with everything you said, except the above comment. Hence, I selected that.

Having respect for a big team like "Brasil" and any team who is better on the paper does NOT mean you should give up against them. You will fight. But when you fight and you loose, dont kill yourself. The least you gained is some good experience.

I think you have a problem, Haji jaan, in your interpretation of such comments. You take them as "pessimistic" comments and phrases, while they are absolutely not.

When I put Bahrain, I meant exactly what he tried to deliver "Don't fire me if we lose, it meant to lose". We never gone there to fight except, only except onllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly one was "IRAN-BAHRAIN" in AC2004 and Branko had no hands on it, believe me. We went out to fight and it was obvious from the boys' faces.

Teams like Brazil and Portugal don't need to advertise for the respect, in opposite the coach should say "they are nothing, we are gonna beat the crap out of them", you know why? bcz we already wet our pants, we need some one to encourage us.

          Cheers

I absolutely agree with encouragement part. And i can assure you that Branko never discourages players.

He said many times that any team that enters the pitch, goes there to win. A coach, with his education, would never feel the need to explain "obvious stuff" to a nation. Obvious stuff is that: " dont kill yourselves and blame zameen o zaman for a loss". First this is football where things sometimes dont go according to plans. Second, there are some teams out there who do a lot more for their football comparing to us. therefore a loss against any of them is not so devastating. It just tells you, you are not as good and you need to learn from this loss and prepare and try again.

This is called "common sense" in western societies where social sciences are much more developed than in Iran. But since our nation has no clue, he blasts out and needs to explain this to us. He explains the obvious (you sometimes mentioned this word in your comments against Branko) that noone else needs to explain elsewhere.

sorry haji jan but im gonna hav to disagree w u on this one, the penalty call may hav been questionable but the US goal was offside as well so the 2 goals cancel each other out, in the end ghana was the better team and deserved to go on.....one could argue that the US was robbed in the italy game, even if they were that would only be 1 victory compared to ghana and italy both having 2, which is y they r going on......however, i do agree w u that the refs are deciding a loooot of games so far in this tournament, very inconsistent in their calls for one team compared to another, it seems as tho the bigger the name, the more calls on their side
