What will happen to our football If..........

1-Suppose On august 22 , Islamic republic answered the United nations mandate, and said the hell with all,and we continue with our nuclear agenda.

2-Suppose USA and european union pushed for an international sanction..

3- suppose, russia and china, worring about thier business with the west, and agreed with the sanctions against iran.

4- suppose Iran pushed with hezbullah in Lebanon, and isreal found out direct iranian hand on attacks in Isreal.

5- suppose, Ahmadinejad made more threats.

6- suppose, isreal bombed iranian facilities.

7- Suppose iran went into a major international isolation.

8-suppose, iran ,based on international sanctions, went into major economical crisis.

    9-etc,etc,etc.................

10- what will happen to our football ?......will we have another period, similar to the one during the IRAQ-IRAN war ?..will we stay away from top of asia ?
will iranian people support football as much ?,will Islamic government, advocate football as much ?

i think it would make support for our football stronger because we've got nothing else. It could be used to unite all our people in bleak times, kind of like it is now, but to a greater extent.

then, I think we'll have far more dire consequences and important issues to think and worry about than football.

With all due respect to your concern, I like to make a joke, I hope you don't mind, however the answer is between the lines:

Suppose my aunt had a p***, I would call him uncle.

        Cheers,

            I agree with DD's comment

In that situation there are far more serious issues to be concerned about than soccer. Don't want tomake this a political thing and get a slap on the wrist but I think in the near future even without the possibilties of air attack against Iranian facilities, we may witness separetist movements within the corners of Iran. So, Iran's integrity as a country maybe in danger. Unfortunaely due to the national discrimination against non-fars there is a fertile ground for this rebelion.
"When I see the good in you, you get motivated, feel good about yourself and that creates synergy. It creates an environment where everybody can work better together. I think in the Iranian culture it becomes very ordinary to always see the bad in each other."

8-suppose, iran ,based on international sanctions, went into major economical crisis.
Just to give you an example:
              - Iran currency saving reached 50+ Billions this year. Plus
              -Oil today was $74, plus
-Any crisis in Middle east has a direct relation to the oil price. Plus
-Any sanction of Iran make the oil price easily jump to $100+. Plus
-Iran have the capacity to produce 4,000,000+ crude oil per day. Plus
              - There are always some dealers to buy, a couple of dollars, cheaper oil. Then

-No economical crisis at least in one year or two years.

Don't worry aziz joon, I know these "mollahs" and "Hajaghas" pretty well (hey look at my name!!! ), they don't mean any thing about what they say and they easily change their directions when they see they are peeing on the hard ground.

Contrary, the b***** got "the west" pretty good with their hands tight some where else now and two traditional enemies removed (Saddam and Taliban), they may become a power house in Middle East easily. Look at Iraq and Lebanon, portrait if they have pro-Iranian governments and these anti-war movement in USA and Europe (people here are sick of Middle East crisis, they don't wanna hear any thing about them any more), so the path is there. They just need a couple of years to make their first bomb. The mollahs are not stupid, they are trying, but as I said, they know how to stop and play "ki bood ki bood, man naboodam" if they need to.

Don't forget, they are in attacking mood now. If they stop their aggrassive tactic, every thing will back to normal as no one in the west wants another crisis.

              Sorry about the politics.

              Cheers,

                ZZ jan,

If what you are saying does come true, why the hell would anyone care what happens to football anyways? I know I wouldn't.

But the way I see it, Iran will take the Russian Nuclear offer and give a HUGE BILACH to BUSH and his boys in Isreal.

                So let's talk football.

Although we were all sad, about 8 year war with IRAQ ,and close to one million dead.....yet, after a while, and after dust settled ,we were also concerned about what it also did with our football, and 8 years of absence from international competitions....

                  hajagha jan,
There are many reasons, that, this " to bemiri dege az oon to bemiriha nist "

1- The islamic regim has put all its eggs in one bascket, and "ella va bella " wants the nuclear thing......it wants it for its survival.( that means,if it does not have it, it will not survive ! )

2- Just as seriouse, is USA,and EU, and Isreal, not to let them, as well as comeing to conclusion, that, it is not just nuclear energy, the Islamic regim must go.

3-This time, sanction is going to be very different than the old ones...it is going to be supported by 90% of the world, either with thier own choosing, or by the west's presaure.

4-The hezbullah, proved the real danger to Islamic regim,as every body knows now the true nature of ir.

                  5- among, sanction's details......
A= Closeing all banking activityies of Iran. ( that means ,no money transaction, and that means, no sales of oil...and even there is a sale, no money will reach iran )..( cash money,is not possible for larg amounts )
B= Disallowing Iranian officials to travel to industrial countries.
C=No sales of gasolin to Iran, which imports 75% of its auto gas consumptions.

6- The 'mullah bazi' strategies are all old now, and USA and Isreal and EU, are completly aware of buying time, and postponement strategies.

7- It is not just ,nuclear thing the west is after...it is the islamic regim.

8-the mistake of Iran ,insisting on nuclear energy, can no longer be ended with " JAM E ZAHR ", as , it can niether handle the domestic expectations, nor , fooling the out siders, nor handling of cullaps of semi-economy.

9- The mullahs are extreemly conning and smart.......but, keep that in mind, that the one who will be laughing at the end.............is going to be the USA !

                    ZZ jan,

I encourage you to read this article, the author is an Iranian-American decent, name "Vali Nasr" who is a professor in USA (I forgot which university now but he was in Harvard, If I am not mistaken he is in Stanford now), the article is a bit old but still very informative and gives you a complete picture about the whole region including Iran situation, her options and USA situation and her options in their conflicts, and who is in the driver sit.

I found the author, the most informed English talking person about Iran, Terror, Middle East, Islam and the material about them.

You may search some other articles from him specially the one about S. Arabia and Terror is a bless to read.

if the sh*t hits the fan and these major events come to pass, then I doubt football would be anywhere near top priority in ANYONE's mind.

so saying, I must remind all friends that we DID have a major "up-( actually "down )-heaval in the revolution.
and then another catastrophic one in our war .

but what happened afterwards, when the dust settled?

we and our football bounced back ... even stronger.
so I wouldnt really worry much about our football in such situations.

                      =============

btw, haji jan, Mr. Nasr teaches at George Washington Univ. at D.C.
( seen him in person, and doesnt LOOK what one expects from such a well-read and revered proff he is )

haji jan......thanks for the link,,,,,I did read the whole article...and it was very comprehensive......and it seems ,profesor nasr...is specialist,in matters of shiite and sunni differences, and islamic republic influences in that issue....
I also , watched VOA ( voice of america ) program two weeks ago, who mr,nasr was invited, and was the guest of mr.baharloo...and the topic was, hezbullah and Iranian hand .......( if you go to thier archive, and listen to that video, you will hear me too ,as I was among the people who called and asked a question, from atlanta,)......
                            ......
How ever, it does not appear, that dr.nasr, has any particular comment,as how the senario of islamic republic may play out in near future...as it is not his line of study.......
                            ...........................
Islamic republic, is the master of propaganda, and it can not be defeated with propaganda,..and it can only be handled with force...either economicaly,or poletical,or militarly......
And, that is near future of Iran, and how it could attempt to survive the massive, western attempts for its demise.......
West is highly motivated to topple Islamic regim,as they consider Iran, to be the last piece of the terrorism's puzzle , to be solved.

....or they may turn and deal with them. That's another big possibility too. That's why they wanted to eliminate "Hezbollah's card" from IRI hands to give them less carrot over the negotiation table. Dr. Nasr had a new article describing perfectly this scenario. (hehehe this guy is too smart to be Iranian ).

Anyway, enjoy the summer, only time will tell us how these bastered politicians will deal with each others. We gotta enjoy our lives. Hey I am in North Carolina, I can call you neighbor.
