"When I see the good in you, you get motivated, feel good about yourself and that creates synergy. It creates an environment where everybody can work better together. I think in the Iranian culture it becomes very ordinary to always see the bad in each other."
Afshin Ghotbi ( Former TM Head Coach)

Nasser Hejazi was the Takhti of our football.

soheil jan, and the rest of the friends here :

as you all know me ( some, for years, like soheil jan ), I dont beat around the bush , am straight and frank, and have no "shileh peeleh".

basically, I call it as I see it.

this is said, becoz I dont want ppl to think I put down dadkan ( who deserves it ) just becoz I want guys like mostafavi to look good !

      no.
I dont like mostafavi either, and never liked him. from the time he was the head of IFF back in late 90's.
in fact I criticize him for his inefficient handling of some of the jobs, even this early !
especially his lack of support for the "sacrificial lamb" of iranian football, GN.

yes, I truly beleive, given the atmosphere at Iran after branko's f**k up, iranian football demanded a sacrificial lamb to take the heat, get slaughtered and sacrificed .. so that the needed time would pass and the dust settles , for the ACTUAL TM coach to surface.

I criticize whoever I think and beleive has done wrong.
no parties or affiliations or .. here.

I call that person "successful" whom when weighed for his rights and wrongs, his rights outweigh the wrongs.
dadkan is so disasterous in this that his goods look like a feather against a mountain of screw ups !

in fact, the only head of IFF or recent times, I can support is farahani, who while having a few hic-ups and fouls, he did much good for our football.

so will I miss dadkan if mostafavi screws up further?
      HELL NO !
this is the wrong attitude to have.

        Backward?

Infact Ali jaan, I never use that term. Cause using that term will get you to the "inferiority complex" that I do not wish to be in.

Instead, I use the term "student". This world is a like a school. Different nations are in different grades in different terms in this school. When you are a 5th grader in this school in certain issues, you should "not" consider a first grader as a "backwarded" individual or a race. Its just that, they are students that are learning to get to higher and higher levels. Their brain has the capacity. the issue is that they have not taught that much.

Look Ali jaan. In this school, I believe that every Iranian is capable enough to be successful in graduating from each grade and concuring the next. But, we need to learn to get to the next grade. You cant simply ask a first grader to do "algebra". Not that he/she cant do it when he/she gets there. Its just that he/she has not learned it yet.

Above is the trend that I am talking about. I know that we can graduate each grade successfully. But we need to learn each one in a stepwise fashion. When all the 12 grades are finished and we have done our college and university, we will slowly reach the ceiling of how much humanity can deliver. From there, its gonna be slow.

Since Branko stepped in to TeamMelli as a head coach, I regarded him as a "teacher". Simply because he was qualified to be one. May be not to teach a 5th grader. But well qualified to teach a first grader that we were in terms of modern football. In terms of professionality. What I expected from him was to graduate us from the "first grade".

The difference is here. You guys consider us as graduates of University in footballing terms. Thats why a 5th grade "teacher" is not enough for you. You are expecting us to do "algebra" when we are just learning the abc's of football and professionalism.

Dadkan and co., with their experiences were good "teachers" for a class contaning "first graders". Could they handle a 5th grader? Probably not. Because, they simply dont have that much of experience to do that in footballing management terms. I mean, can anyone compare Bakenbauer to Mohammad Dadkan? Can anyone do that? Not that Bakenbauer is smarter than them. Its because Bakenbauer has passed a university grade as a footballer and manager in the best footballing universities in the world.

We should not go too far in this. Our very own Human Afazeli. May be Human is not the best option to analyse for Bayern team. But the guy has potentials. He is well qualified. He has the "means". And at the level that our football is, he would have been a great "teacher" if we would have recognized this potential and let it grow alongside the 5th grade teacher, Branko.

But, what did we do? we not only ruined the joy of graduating from a first grade, we changed all the good things with not individuals at a higher level to "teach", but with even lower that some of our own students. How ridiculous that is.

Ali jaan. We are in the same track. There might be a little differences, but I am absolutely sure we say the same thing. Therefore, I am not a lawyer for Dadkan and branko. Nor do I ever called for their come back. I dont rally care. All I say is that we needed new teachers that were one better than them. If we dont have one, or cant afford one (which at our level of football we have plenty in numbers that we can afford), then in my opinion the same people would at least be sufficient enough to graduate us from second grade that we supposed to be.

When I say, we would beg for half Dadkan in the future, i dont mean Dadkan per se. I mean half of his experience, education, dedication to lift us again from the "preschool" that we have now "returned to".

Loved the piece in the end. I dont know how it relates to me. But a great one indeed.

        Doki jaan:

I know your intentions Aziz jaan. I know that you also understand my side of the issue. People go different directions in life on certain issues. We just tend to argue with eachother on validity of those directions. This just gives others something to read and think about. Not that any of them matters that much.

        Love you man
Keep up the good work and lets discuss more and more. Even if it is hot. lol.
