Foolad can do a world of favors to TM today, by beating marfavi's ss.

with the pressure mounting on marfavi to produce acceptable football as ss coach, and after their disasterous game, drawing against the 10 man bottom-of-the-table team , it is natural to see ss fans demand the return of GN to ss.

if Foolad and the bungling MK can pull a rabbit out of the hat and either draw or better, beat the ss at ahvaz, then we can be reasonably sure that GN will be re-appointed as ss coach.

... thus, giving the IFF room to maneuvre in this matter, leaving the TM spot a bit more open for introduction of a new coach.

hmm..i get ur idea doctor jan but i think theres more to it than just foolad beating esteghlal today..

even if esteghlal loses, marfavi will say this was only esteghlal's first defeat (only saipa remains defeatless at this point of time besides esteghlal if im not mistaken..) so esteghlal will have to produce a series of disasterous results for him to be sacked.. and with the ACL quite far, there is no rush in reappointing ghalenoi..

besides, how do u know if marfavi gets sacked, esteghlal will bring back ghalenoi? they might bring another coach! maybe nasser hejazi or i dunno some foreign coach..

and frankly, i dont want to see maelli kohan succeeding, otherwise this guy will start with his edea's again and maybe become TM coach again

1- marfavi, as it is , is under a lot of pressure.
fans are asking for GN and berating him.

2- ss management may be keeping him, but it doesnt mean they are happy with him.
we have to consider fan pressure on their management too.


3- what the coach says may hold water ... only to some extent.
he may come up with a dozen excuses, but we know football management goes by their own decisions, and not so much excuses brought up by the coaches.

4- for me, TM is far more important than seeing an idiot coach failing.
if it takes MK's success to help TM, then so be it.

the more success maelli kohan gets, the closer he gets to the TM bench which i dont want..to me, this is important, to keep him away from the TM bench as far as possible.. for TM's success

and the same management chose marfavi because they believe in him, as he was the assisstant of the coach who brought them success..
like i said, they are not gonna fire a coach with just 1 loss, no matter how much the fans are pressurizing them to.
right now, statistics are backing marfavi up and nobody can fight against them cause they are facts. the coach has got good results with the team, now just 1 loss and he should be fired? i dont think the management will do such a thing..
fans are asking for a lot of things, doesnt mean they will get it, specially when ghalenoi still has obligations to TM and IFF, and officially, his mission is not completed yet which is to coach iran in the asian qualifications....
so even if ghalenoi does get reappointed as esteghlal coach, it wont be before the korea game..

but anywayz, lets see...

yashar jan, on marfavi's case I must say, the management didnt "choose" him so much as "kept" him there becoz he was GN's assistant, and there was ( and IS ) a possibility of GN returning to ss.

They didnt know if GN would succeed or not. so they opted for the "wait and see" policy in choosing the coach.
and maybe I'm an optimist, but I still think it is possible for all parties to come out of this as winners.
GN can retake his spot at SS, especially since they are going to the asian comps.
and TM's chair will be filled by a more deserving coach.

you shd have seen/heard how the experts and commentators were berating the blues' game and disappointing football even BEFORE the game .... AND DURING THE FIRST HALF which was not shown , btw, due to lack of electricity at takhti stadium in ahvaz !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

almost anyone on the streets as well as experts on the media agree the blues' football has been very disappointing and worrying. especially since they will be going to asia.

so there's still hope.

lets see& keep our fingers crossed.

hmm..i totally agree the football they are playing is nothing compared to last year, its a pity and frustrating considering we had a good chance at ACL..

anywayz, i too hope that ghalenoi comes back to esteghlal..
