    Iran - Korea

    very cryptic summery of views:

1- upto the first goal, Iran played an acceptable game.
a bit haywire, but nevertheless, acceptable.

from the first goal upto the second, we were just pathetic !
    horrible and lousy !
players merely kicking the ball , never using their brains to hold the ball and play possession football in such circumstances, to not only cut into time and slow down the pace of the game, but also have enough time to compose themselves.
very much like a headless chicken !!

2- Badamaki was the RIGHT sub ... brought in at the WRONG time.
Kairmi was nothing during the whole game.
( I dont think this is the right approach to win favors of his club coach !!! )
and Badamaki could have bee brought in at halftime itself.

    3- VH was uncharacteristically selfish.
played a good game, but definitely could have been much better if he served the team .

    4- 3 men impressed immensely:
    Sadeghi
    Nosrati
    Roudbarian
they were just head and shoulders above the rest.

5- Teymoorian showed he has indeed worked on his creative side of the game.
he showed better passing and did improve in his attacking game with through passes and crosses.
If this continues, I think we'll have another nekounam on our hands.
    good, positive show.

    6- It is official:
GN does not beleive in having a proper "playmaker" in his teams !!
otherwise there is noway to excuse how he ignored ( or failed to recognize ) how our team played such a head-less game for almost all of second half !
    Kairmi didnt provide the answer.
a coach shd realize his team NEEDS someone to take charge and coordinate the movemet of the whole team, in offense especially, since it was a home game , and we had the upper hand.
alas, GN never realized it !

7- Enayati didnt get much service from the midfielders.
( one reason could be the lack of a playmaker )
but one clear chance he got, he put the ball in.
I am glad he did this.
this shd take some pressure off him.

8- Korea showed they had the future in mind, when they brought most of their olympic team, complemented with a few seniors.
sad that our decision makers didnt have such a foresight !

    finally:
Do I think GN is fit to lead us at AC2007 , against asia's top sides?
    I dont think so.

Korea Republic, Japan Olympic teams play out draw
            15 November 2006

CHANGWON: The Korea Republic Olympic team drew 1-1 with their Japanese counterparts here on Tuesday.

Park Chu-young fired the hosts into the lead in the fourth minute but Ahn Tae-hyun's own goal in the 64th minute saw the Japanese snatch a draw.

Park headed in the opener from a Kim Seung-yong corner kick while Ahn got a touch to Japanese striker Robert Cullen's header off a Kota Ueda cross.

The two teams meet again next Wednesday in the second friendly in Japan.

Japan coach Yasuharu Sorimachi said:"We had only a few players with experience in such a tough matches and this made them nervous."

"We lost possession easily in the first half but in the second half we could play better as the Koreans were tired."

"Today I tested the players who had little chance of playing in the previous tie against China and it was a good match in terms of experience for these youngsters."

Korea Republic stand-in coach Hong Myung-bo said the change of strategy by Japan in the second half confused his players. "The first half was perfect, however, in the second half, my players were confused with Japan's new strategy. We should have coped with it more effectively. But I am satisfied with the game in general because we dominated the game."
            -------------------------------------------------------

Q: How could the Korean Olympic team play two games on separate sides of the continent in the same day.

A: It would be impossible to do so

Conclusion: tm played the Korea A team today. Koreans and AFC are liars.

credit for the information goes to Arya.

              Khabalood,

How many of the Korean players were known to you? Do you know any of them? How many of them did play in the past game in Korea?

When everyone in the world says it was mostly their U23 team, who is Arya to come deny it!?

give us a comparison of the squads and we'll believe in it.

In other words BAH BAH BAH.

Just because AFC writes rubbish and brainwashes people does not mean I will stop thinking, become a sheep and fall in line with everyone else. There cannot be two U23/Olympic squads, which means one of the two teams that played today must be the A team. Now it makes more sense considering the asia cup squads must have been submitted months ago to believe that the squad we played today was the A team even if a few of the players were bench players instead of starters.

Note, that we did not have a full A team as well with Mahdavikia, Rezaei, Mirzapour, Kaebi, Madanchi and Karimi (who played so bad it was as if he wasn't there) not taking part in the game. All things considered I believe both teams were fairly handicapped.

It appears to me that Arya is using his brain and actively researching this topic.

DD: Indeed we need playmaker(s). If Karimi does not play like the old Karimi that we know, then he needs to be subbed when he plays badly. Even he himself admitted that he did not have a good game because of Bayern Munich benching situation. Enough excuses. He's had enough playing time.

I agree, we need to see more of Badamaki in the future.

"There's got to be a competition for every position in TM."

Yeah, everyone lies but you and Arya...No one uses his brain but you and Arya...Who are you guys trying to fool? of course: yourselves.

Kaveh Mahjoob - Which team you are taking to Iran? Will it be your U23 plus a few national team members?

Afshin Ghotbi - As you may know, South Korea will be bringing a U23 selection (Asian Games Members). There are a few Asian Game players (players born in 1985 or younger eligible for the Olympics) that will stay in Korea to take part in the friendly match on the 14th of November against the Olympic team of Japan. We have replaced them with a few experience players for the match against Iran. With Korea qualifying already for the Asian Cup in 2007, we chose to use the Iran match as a test game in our preparation for the Asian Games. The strong Iranian selection with the anticipated 100, 000 enthusiastic Iranian fans will give us a great opportunity to give our young players a valuable experience in international football.

all i know from is korea is park ji sung cause hes good and lee dong gook cause his name is funny as hell and i didnt see either of them...

then again i could say that the only 4 players i know from iran are mirzapour, mahdavikia, daei, and rezaei, and none of them were there

In other words, we won fair and square

So it is important that Koreans changed a few players, but we should ignore the absence of Mahdavikia, Mirzapour, Rezaei, Kaebi, Madanchi who are starters, nevermind players like Manei, Zandi, Borhani, Shojaei, Mobali, and Oladi who could easily be starters as well.

Its ridiculous the lengths some Iranis go to discredit Irani achievements. The teams were missing relatively the same amount of starters. Stop making excuses.

kaabi is not a starter for ghalenoi..
                              even madanchi isnt..

ghalenoi's main 11 in my opinion is

                              mirzapour-rezai,fekri,nosrati-nikki,teymourian,nekounam,kia,karimi-hashemian,enayati
now that fekri is gone, its gonna be sadeghi most probably.

ghalenoi doesnt even consider oladi, shojaei, manei, mobali and zandi as TM potential players..

this was pretty much our strongest team under ghalenoi, except that rezai, kia and mirzapour were missing...
on the other hand, korea didnt have more than 5 of its main 11.....i think it was even less than 5.
