ONCE again !! ,we need a forign coach !

Two nights ago, IRIB2, on thier sport section had, one hour long program, about view of our forign caches about our football............
The format of the program,(as some of you who watched it,know)...was in a way, that the reporter had interviews with coaches inside thier homes,in a casual manner, asking about thier lives, and the football in thier own lands, and how they compaire it with the league in Iran..etc etc....
The format was also like, 5 minutes in DENIZELI's house, and then change it to the house and interview with the croasian coach of zob-ahan ( I think ), and later the armenian coach of PAYKAn, etc etc...and going back and forth.
    .............
The croasian coach, was saying, in Iran, the level of talent is good,..yet, the laegue is bad....he said, he does not know ,why the clubs are profesional and the salaries are profesional, yet the athitude of players are not profesional...
Denizeli ,for example said, the league in Turkey has higher class than the league in Iran, but, Turkish national team , is not much stronger than Iranian national team....he also said, the organization in Iran is bad, and the federation is managed badly..etc.....
the armenian, coach of PAYKAN, said, although, the federation has started to spend good money on football, yet, the coaches , and players are not acting profesional......
    .................
any way, the long story short.............
According to what one can gather from thier opinion, ....
There is no profesionalism ,yet, in Iran, yet, the level of talent, is not much lower than International norm, and one to one , we can compete....
One, can also conclude, Our domestic coaches, within the existing frame work, can not get the most out of the avaielble talent...
    ..............
in another words.....we, with a help of a competant forign coaching, can be a over-achiving, and display higher standard than our league.
.....and the most a domestic coach can do, is to offer a team, that can beat , our league champion..but nothing more !!

No we do not necessarily need a foreign coach. First I like to get credit for something we do ourselves, second the foreign coaches generally do not understand our players' mentality and psychology, third they can be subjected to undue influence from Daie and his cohorts. Still, maybe if we got a first class foreign coach such as Hiddink, that would be acceptable but I don't want third and second raters such as Ivankovich 2005-2006 come and take over.

A forign coach will be under influence ?......I think it is other way around...
The domestic coach, does not understand profesionality, nor he understand efficiency, nor management...,nor today's football..
Even, Branko ,who had never had a head coaching job,was better than this GN, let alone we get some one better, and good.

I would love 4 us to bring in some more quality foreign coaches into the country.!!

Head of Team Melli, and youth teams.!!

I would love someone like Milan Macala or Philippe Troussier taking over Team Melli, Also a few more decent foreign coaches in Iran would be fantastic.!!

Our domestic coaches seriously need to learn a few things from proffesional coaches such as this.!!!

Also its very good that our senior players such as Daei and Azizi have set paths to become good coaches..!!

WE need a few more Good South American coaches in Iran for sure.!!

Denizeli was seating on his living room couch, and not much els was showing, how ever, the house belonging to armenian coach of paykan, seemed the nicest....they seemed to have been living in a larger than typical apartements in Tehran..

I agree. The Iranian coaches simply are not on a satisfying level. I have high hopes in Daei and Kia & Co later, but for now, no Iranian coach is good enough to achieve sth big with TM.

I couldn't agree with you more...we need a good foreign coach with experience in Europe...and most importantly, someone who demands respect and expect discipline...i don't know if any of this is possible though

a while back there was a thread about a legendary south american coach (i forgot his name..!) from colombia who was being supposedly considered as a replacement for gn....source was some iranian paper ...you know how that goes...
anyways when i was reading about that guy i was quite impressed by his resume and he didnt seem unatainable and far fetched either....i think its time to try out a decent south american coach rather than all these 3rd rate eastern block european coaches ...!!
i think we should try and adapt to a more south american style of play...its more down our alley and plays more to our players strength..!

Who would even doubt that Branko was under Daie's complete influence? It was almost like Daie would dictate to him: "If you want to stay in Iran, you listen to me on who gets invited to TM and who does not, and on top of that, I must always get my 90 minutes regardless of how I play!" At least with GN we don't have this problem, many worthy players have gotten a chance to prove themselves in the few games we have had since he took over. I really don't want another Ivankovic/Daie in charge!!!

Daei, a guy who is not too smart...and the poletical minded Branko .....would take orders from Daei ?!.....you have been reading too much, hopla in Iranian news papers.......Branko,was much smarter than than.....he just truly believed, we in Iran, do not have any better player in forward position...thats all...................

FARAZ jaan....., why not ?...it is very well possible.....as that Armenian coach of PAYKAN said, the Iranian federation has started to spend good money, lately, and is getting more seriouse about advancing football......and GN, was first logical choise,in short term, never was he supposed to be a WC coach material......for now, he is being given a chance...which, if he gets, any lower, than secound place in ASIAN cup..he is gone......

well the notion of GN as head coach DURING the asian cup is personally not appealing...

in terms of the federation spending money, i sure as hell hope they are...i just hope a coach comes in who simply possesses the attitude to completely obliterate any possible chances of conflict in our team. the whole daie-karimi fiasco at the world cup could have been avoided with some harsher disciplinary actions from branko - and with the asian cup around, i can only imagine what sort of drama we'll have, another slapping fight perhaps?...who knows...i just hope GN is not our coach for the asian cup...we'll just have to wait and see if the IFF DOES possess the money to bring in someone decent

Could it be anything worse than the humiliation we faced at the World Cup 2006, under Branco/Daie and other "famous" players such as Kia and Karimi? There were many other good players who could have done better than a bunch of out-of-shape, emotionally confused group of legioners, but those never got a chance to represent their country. What a shame.
