One more attempt to clarify Football Plus membership

I got couple of PMs/complaints about F+ membership. I am assuming they did not read the note correctly, or perhaps I was not very cleared on first notice.

Based on suggestion by couple of our staff, we decided that in new F+ structure, F+ members will select who joins this forum for discussion. Of course the idea can create a never ending loop in the beginning (no member to select member!), so we had to jump start the forum by selecting a very few members. The list was consulted by all the admins of the site for assurance. From here on, members themselves will nominate and vote on who gets selected to join their discussion. We believe there are many members who are qualified to join this forum. However, if we had selected all of them, then the concept of member selection by members would be obsolete. We would like to extend our appology to all those that were left out initially as the space was limited. We are confident that our standard procedure and future selection will accomodate them.

Please understand that such process will be slow and with care. We are confident that members who are active in mature discussions will be noticed and selected gradually by F+ members. The process of selection will be transparent to others to avoid friction and maintain privacy. Meanwhile, football forum is still our main forum and nobody takes your right to express your opinion for as long as it follows the site regulation, and rest assured that your post will be noticed by public. If you see a discussion in F+ to be interesting, and you are yet to be selected to participate, please feel free to generate the same topic in our main football forum to discuss as well.

I must say I am surprised to receive complaints while remembering those that complained were not even active in our old Football Plus forum (anymore). I thought many had lost their interest as the F+ forum had been deserted recently. We are doing what we can to cater to the need of everyone, and generate different grounds and avenues to attract different age and group to discuss football topics. The level of participation by the older members of the site had been dropped drastically, and we had to do what we can to generate interest to maintain the quality and versatility of the forum. At the end, we all can benefit from this versatile environment when this hobby of ours is more educational as well.

I would like to ask all the previous football plus members who are not currently on the memeber list to be patient and not assume that they have done something wrong!

This is a restructure attemp to improve the quality of PFDC and football plus forum.

PLease allow the current "start up" members regroup and deside who needs to particiapte in F+.

previously the entire list was processed by one staff member and one (or two) admin(s). Now you have an entire team of actual F+ members involved in voting. This is a fair and effective selection system so hang in there.............This also is a good way to increase the number of F+ members as previously the task was too much for one man to go through hundreds of posts and hundreds of members to deside who could be added.

The selection process was slow and practically had stopped.

Now there is a system in place that in time will be able to add more members to this forum instead of NONE.
