The president of Afganistan was supposed to be in Tehran 2 days ago, but they called and cancelled the trip,..they said, president Karzai was not feeling good !!!!!!!!!, The whole German media and thier Government critisized bayern munich for playing in Iran, The romanians cancelled thier game with Iran,,,,with the continueing speeches of Mr.ahmadinejad, the whole western world is in state of panic...The latest,ukranians just cancelled thier game with Iran,,,,and after the talks,yesterday,in England beyween, England, france,germany,USA,Russia,and China,...although China and Russia were the only nations still against sanction against Iran, but all of them agreed that,the iranian Governement is totaly irrational, and not to be trusted....
Right now, which sactions have not started, yet, all countries, specialy Euopeans ( eat or west ) are very concern about thier relationship with these big countries, and any contact with Iran will be seen as a rebelion against the big powers....therefore, only countries that are openly against western powers may be interested to play with iran.....they say , poletics and sport are seperated, but that is not true when it comes in actions.
I shall bet you, Chezch republic will cancell, and I bet no Europeans will play with iran,,,,I also do not think other countries will be too much interested to play with Iran, as even, afganistan is shying away from Iran

It is a true shame.

And can you believe, zz jan, that after all of this, people still want the head of the coach? Again, there are certain limitations in our football that will hinder our improvement, no matter what coach we have.

On a side note, SHAME on those countries. It is truly sad that they keep saying "sports and politics are separate", yet prove that they are not by their actions.

This is just awful and unfair.

On a side note - why can't Iran travel to other countries to play their friendlies? Must we play each and every friendly in Azadi? For god's sakes, we need the experience of playing on another ground other than Azadi and in front of other crowds! It is ridiculous!

This issue is going to get bigger !!, and just like The nuclear thing, the islamic regim will use it to advance its agenda,as we saw the banners in bayern game.
my poor fellow Iranians in Iran, had only!!!,football as entertainment,and nothing els, and we shall be branded all over the world,.
The issue of takeing Iran to the security counsel,will grow and grow till the world cup time, and by that time,there defenetly a economic sanction against Iran,and more and more countries will distant themseleves from Iran.
I bet there will be a lot more develeopements till the WC

friendlies are really important!! but if they want to isolate us, we practice against asian teams and still beat Mexico
