If you had to, will you choose Iran,or Iranian football !!??

There are many threads these days on our site, about the isolation of Iran, and also its football.....
On one hand, the west and most of the world is trying to put Iran under presure, and from the other hand, the Iranian Government is hiding behind Iranian people for its survival !!!,it is useing football, and the nuclear issue, to distract the world for what it has done to iranian people, it supported football just to keep people bussy, and it claims it has the support of people of Iran,to justify its undemocratic agendas.....just as kept the people of Iran bussy with Iraq-Iran war, just as changed the subject with the nuclear issue, and detter outsiders to help liberate Iran......
are football and Poletics realy a seperate issue ?!,
could football be an instrument of exploitation 1?
Could supporting football,at some point, mean supporting the government ?
and if, we ,hypatheticaly, were ever in a conflicting situation, which will we choose ??.......Iran ? or ...Iranian Football ?

Without getting too political. The situation in Iran should be solved by Iranians, not by interfearance of third parties anyway.

Apart from the fact that if Iran gets banned from WC by FIFA it would rather make me more pro-Ahmadinejad and anti-FIFA rather than the opposite, I think it should be left to the Iranian people to decide how the country should be like.

Of course he is. I'm also sure he loves Iran and wants the best for the country. That of course his definition of "best" differs quite a lot from how you and me would define it and the means he choses are highly questionable.

The government is not using Football to distracts people. Football used to be a big danger for them because of its unifying and strong influence on people but they have now learned how to control it through mass media and they are no longer scared of riots and unrest caused by football in Iran. They even see their presence in the WC as a positive sign of IR's progress at the international stage.

But the Nuclear issue is the biggest problem IR is facing since the US embassy crisis some 20 years ago and they are in a big trouble if they continue with their headstrong strategy. Lets not forget that the whole thing was caused by IR themselves but they didnt know what they were playing at.

The new regime which has a BASIJI idealogy sees war with US and the west as the best thing for our country and seeks international trouble and is constantly looking for crisis. Since they dont have the expertese and the knowledge and the experience to run the country, the only way they can survive is to move the country into crisis and use it as an excuse for their shortcomings.

Hadi jan, I see the logic in your statements, yet, I disagree with you, only about " Governement is not useing football"....in my opinion it does, and it does it big time !!!
I do not know how old you are, but I know, you live in Iran, and you should know better than most here, what is happening in sport in Iran....
It is no comparison......If you watch Iranian TV, almost 50% of the time, it is about sport....is n't it ?!!............
From secound league of hand ball, to waterpolo turnements, to youth bascketball, ..from badmington turnements, to chess, to even baseball....all the sports, and many of them even secound leauges.., fro yasooj in kohkiloyeh boir ahmad to mamasani,to jiroft to tabas....it is amazing....
This was not so before, and it is not so, any other countries similar to Iran,as far as wealth or papulation......( if I am wrong let me know )....
ohhhhhhhhhh, when it comes to football, on TV, from italian leauge to turkish ones, from german bondesliga, to british, to french, to spanish, to south america...all, they do not miss any action of football in the world...
                    WHY is that so ??????

Without the 'Iran' there IS NO 'Iranian Football'. Simple as that. Iran first. Football comes later. Way later.

Without Iran there are no iranian football.
The main problem with us is that we always look only 1 meter forward us, and don't want to think future. This is the problem with our football too.

We must invest for future to have any at all. I understand that many of us just are thinking about the world cup 2006, and the good time there and many joys in germany, but please think some more, and the future of our country.
Is there any body in this forum that don't love iran? Or the national team of Iran?
We must think how we can get to the point where we have a strong T.M, without all these problems that T.M have had in 25 recent years.

Don't you love to wave the reall iranian flag in world cup, Don't you love to hear the name of Iran with respect and not as a terrorist country as it is now?

Are we all like " KAPK" s , and put our head in the snow and feel safe? Well we are not safe at all, and we must decide ourselves what kind of people we want to be, passive or active, and take a part in a fight against the main reason of all these injustice and unfairness.

I say, the bann of our football, may injure my heart for some months, and make me down for a periode of time, but i will be happy to see this regim go, and have a free T.M!

Very well said, and God bless you,
I also would rather to have a Governement like Canada, with a bad football team, than Islamic Republic, with Brazil like football.

Iran...over Iranian football. This is really a no-brainer.
Right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.
