    Ghaleh-noui and TM

Guys, i have a question that even im puzzled by its answer...
what if GN win the asian cup with TM? what would your reaction be? im sure so far many of you guys do not respect him at all in terms of tactics and techniques...would you respect him there and then? would you say hes a good coach? or would you just come out with stuff like "oh he was lucky" etc etc. it is quite certain that he would be shown the door if he fails in this competition but what if he wins? would he still be shown the door? would it be right to fire a coach that has actually achieved something for Iran after ever so long? if he does win it for us would it indicate that we should use an iranian headcoach for our TM rather than a foreign one since theyre no good in terms team-dari and decipline?

if you guys start giving your thought i will post mine when im certain enough...

When you give a coach a maximum 10% influence in any team, the answer would be easy. It's like giving me Barcelona, I am still able to come up with some good results.

      excellent question!

The result should never interfere in the rating in any sportsman! the whole picture must be looked at! and that can be done at the time when GN's contract comes to an end!

I prefer good quality foreign coaches for the league. and Iranian coach for TM
As Nasser Hejazi said long time ago: "Foreign Coach for IPL, Iranian for TM.
At TM level there is nothing a coach can taech to players. Those lessons must be learnd at club level. At TM level, the coach must select the best possible opportunities and coordinate their performance"

points to be looked at GN's rating are not whether Iran gets knocked off in quarter final or wins the AC but rather:

      - fitness of players for major tournament?
      - management and time planning of pre tournament preperation?
      - harmony or internall conflict in the team? GN as a team psychologist?
      - knwoledge of opponenets before the tournaments?
      - introducation of young future prospects to TM?
      - tactical felxibility during a game?

those are the issues to be looked at!

Dear Adesor............what you are saying, is a school of thought, that even Mr.hejazi, whom I have always respected,agrees.....but frankly, I do not !!
to begin with, GN,winning this Cup, is as lawyers say, a hypethetical quetion !!............
On the contrary, I belive,TM always needs a good, experinced forign coach, not a secound rate one,....for many reasons.
1-The reason, european teams are good,is because they consistantly play strong teams, and the reason a good forign coach is good, is because his experince and expectations are at up to date standards.
2-denizeli said, iranian clubs play in lower level than turkish league, but,our TM can compete easyly with turkish national team....what he meant, is that with our legioners and talent pool, our TM can be in a higher standard than our league, and thats why, we need a good forign coach !

            Bahram Joooon,

Why do you take Denizlis' word as a fact? How do you know Iran's national team can play against Turkish team?

Akheh Nokaratem Denizli yek ghalati kard, why do you allow our hopes and aspirations take place of reality.

Our national team if play againt Turkey 10 times, I think Turkey will win at least 7-8 times. Our soccer is behind Turkey at both club and national team level.

Denizli was a good business man and a had great showman ship talent. Still better coach than most of our coaches, but he Bullshit a lot too. If he was such a hot commodity he would get a job in Turkey Pro league not becoming CNN Turkey Analyst.

I wish you (or for that matter most PFDC members) will use half of your critical thinking abilities that you use to judge Iranian, to use against non-Iranians.

Look at this guy Denizli. He came to Iran for two season. Got about a million. With two famous clubs. And what is his accompolishement against the so called Ali AShgaree coaches that you and Red and 90% of PFDC memebes make fun of? Honeslty tell me what was his accompolishment.

PP lost 4-2 to Fajr in Tehran. Lost a whole bunch of 4 something to other teams as well and if it wasnt' for the Huge **** UP of Esteghlal in the last three weeks and Sepahan being focused in AFC PP was 5th or 6th at best.

If GN or Peeyoos or any Iranian coach had a record like that, you had pulled His "Tokhm" out and made him "Akhteh".
"When I see the good in you, you get motivated, feel good about yourself and that creates synergy. It creates an environment where everybody can work better together. I think in the Iranian culture it becomes very ordinary to always see the bad in each other."
Afshin Ghotbi ( Former TM Head Coach)

Nasser Hejazi was the Takhti of our football.

              turbo jan, a good question.

well, MY reaction would be based on the MANNER of us winning the trophy.

so far, I've not been happy with his starting line-ups. He is adamant on some issues, no matter how glaring the mistakes.

but, at the same time, he shows flexibility and is ready to make changes. his subs have been quite effective and more or less at the right times.

having said that, I must say his TRUE test will come in the knock-out stage.
Korea has a good coach and a good team.
the knock-out stage is where boys are separated from men.

If we win, not by fluke , but something even resembling tactics and rehearsed moves or teamwork ... then I'll eat my words and start supporting him.
He NEEDS experience. irrespective of us winning the cup.
but, he can gain it in the coming year before the WCQ's reach the final stage.

bottomline is it all depends on HOW we win the trophy.
