We Iranian expats love to hate IRI and blame them for everything? IRI is to blame for a lot of things, but at times we overdo it. This boogyman IRI and savama has been used for a lot of reasons some of which are just figmentation of our imagination.
I played semi pro football in countries in which football isn't big and beleive me whenever I went to a tournament, there were strict rules about the time we stayed in hotels. We couldn't even go out by ourselves and everything must be done with the team, even watchign a movie in Montreal Canada, the whole team was taken there. Beleive me the coach was a scot man and manager an Irish man and had no connection to Savama. Salar was in the same hotel with our boys in Malaysia, and the players were coming out of their rooms, but couldnt go out of the hotel.
Now I wasn't there myself, but from what I heard from Salar who is a respectabel member of this forum and followed TM from Germany to Malaysia and persoanlly talked to players (Mobali, Kazemian,...) this not coming out of your room isnt' true.
With all the due respect, please dont' value so much to the garbage of Noorizadeh and Sarshar on Radio Farda. These guys are journalist and journalisem for most part is equal to "SENSATIONALISEM".
Now if you have a relaiable source that is a different story, but based on current info, I think this whole thing is being blown out of proportion.
And while at it "to bug you with your spelling" I think it is bunch not "bounch", unless "bounch" is a the british version of "ou" vs "u" in American English.

About players,and the inviroment the were put under .....
I saw, a footage,about karimi when he was in UAE,with his top of the line mercedes,and very chick clothing......!!!
These guys although growing up in IRI,yet are even more cosmopolitan than you and I may be.............................
For Karimi and Hashemian,and Kia,who has devorsed his wife.......Do you know what these guys do in Europe ?.....with Women ?.....
I do not want assume anything, but you can not assume either....
I just know, In Germany, specialy in frankfurt,Hamburg,and Munich...they have something they call " FKK " !!!! ....They call it,"Fry kultur klub "
or free culture club.......as there is a big mansion,out door,win and booz,and pool,and shower and many cabin rooms, and more than 100 nude ladies......and,once you get in, everything is " FREE " ,all you can eat !, if you know what I mean !!
then, when the time comes with TM , they ask these guys to ' Namaze Jamaat '......................
I may be exadurating abit, but, there are so much ,contrasts......as it is every side of our culture.

I get your point, about the whole contrasting thing about how one is supposed to behave in IRI vs. how one lives. No argument there. But you also got to remember we Iranians are very complex creatures and can deal with all these complexities. Not a good thing but as human being we "evolved!!!" if you can call it that.

My only point was Noorizadeh and Radio Farda zeeyadee daghesh meekonnad (they exagerate thigns a bit), the same way that IRI has nothing but bad stuff about USA. For 15 year olds I can undretand getting hyped up by like of Noorizadeh, but we should know better.

I remember, when member of a certain political group were executed, they tend to overblown the numbers (saying 10 were executed while in reality it was 2 for example) to get more attention world wide (specially in West). Down the line IMHO, it hurt their cause.

Also when IRI executes 100,they say 10, when they hang students,they say smugeleres, when they say,15% UNEMPLOYMENT,it is 35%....etc...........
As I said, we can not exaggurate about them.....GOD knows those thousands of stories,that no one knows about, and no one ever will about what they have realy done.........
