    Football In Iran.

Rahman Rezaie, was passed on, and he had to settle with less money, and less important team, in Italy.

Hashemian, was dumped by Bayern, and in hanover,he hardly gets played.

Mahdavikia, was handed down,to Frankfurt, and he also hardly get a chance to play.

Karimi, was invested on for being the asian player of the year, but after testing, the Bayern Munich, regreted the move, and dumped him as soon as they could,to an arab team.

Navidkia, never, was counted on, by his Austrian ( Was it austrian ? ),and was let go,and back to Iran, and being MVP on sepahan.

Ando, was very happy about playing in England, but it seem, they are no longer happy to have him, after a very short while.

Nekonam, our best player in the recent asian Cup,is doing better than the rest, yet,he also is not a starter, and is used periodicaly.

kabei, seems like to have finaly gotten his wish, and playing in Europe, yet, a third level, club, and God knows, how long he will last there.
    ...............................

And who are these European clubs ,and thier starter players anyway ?!, .......Other than Bayern, all together have hardly more than 4 to 5 players whom has played in any World Cup,in thier lives, and can hardly be called, world class players.
    ...................................

It appears, that, once a problem, finding an football agent,is no longer a problem,as it seems, our Iranian players find job in europe, and less and less, deserveingly !!!, while many good players,in asia, such as two top players of Saudis ( malek, and thier captain ),or Iraqi players, will never get a chance that players such as Ando got.
    ................................
One may wonder, how much of our trust, and pride in TM,has been ,because of haveing ,so called many legioners in Europe, based on ?
    ................................
The football in the country has been under performing, and loseing all possible chances.....from, no-javanan, to Omid,...and from javanan,to TM.
Our Fifa, rank was droped from 15 to 47 ( may be lower ), and our federation, is in the limbo !!..............Our local talents have left by more than dozens ( and counting ) to lower class leagues,.....and our coaching responsibilities were given to likes of Ghalenoee............
    ...................................
Our Government,is the most hated Government on earth, creating less and less desireble place for players to stay in the country; and our cultural efficiency,is nothing to write home about..............Our league, got weaker last season,( As it was suggested by most experts ),and our fans, have been demoralized.
    ..................................
As, experts believe, the only possible way for our football to get out of this mess, and grow,is to have an independent federation, along with a totaly professional league.............and that is Impossible in Islamic republic of Iran.

Hmmm....I don't agree with your analysis of the Legionaires.

I think we have some decent players who achieved some good things in Europe but the main difference between a decent player and a superstar is the consistancy, and that our players, for some reason, don't have.

Rezaei moved from Messina (who relegated that season) to Livorno who had finished 6th in Seria A and was playing in the UEFA Cup. At the time the move was great for Rezaei, but when Livorno sacked their coach, Rezaei was dropped from the line-up. He had great seasons in Italy, notably one in which he excelled and helped Messina finish 7th.

Hashemian was a regular last season, had 31 appearances last season, started most of them. Had a 10 goals (best joker of the league) and a 16 goals season.

Mahdavikia despite some problems started most of the games last season.
Best winger in Bundesliga in 2003, voted player of the year by the fans, one of the best Right Backs of the league two seasons ago, lead the Bundesliga in assists during two seasons.

Nekounam was a regular, in fact no other Osasuna player played as much as him last season (except the goalkeeper). Voted by many journalists in their La Liga team of the year, voted in UEFA Cup's team of the year.

NavidKia never really recovered from his injury, thats why Bochum released him.

Karimi...well, see how Ribery is charming fans and medias, he is the King in Munich, I guess the same was expected from Karimi, but he was just not good enough. After all, Bayern Munich is a giant, the same is expected from players who sign with clubs like Chelseas and co.

Dear police in the helicopter............( polise dar balgard )!!
thanks for your response...yet,the statistics, you provided, sounds a little off chart !!....although, I shall not disbute them.......
But, I ask you a question, and I hope you answer.......
Are you in a beliefe, that our legioners are a significant bounch ? and should be considered a ,world class players ?...............
      Mahdavikia,Best winger,in bundesliga ?
hashemian best joker of the bundesliga ?.....what kind of joker ?!
And, the new coach of livorno, sacked rezaei, for what ?...was he expensive ?
      .................
Although, I do believe, mahdavikia, at his prime was best performing player we have ever had in Europe, but by no means, non of the above players, shall be missed much,if they leave tommorow.

On Kia I have to raise my two cents.
He was the only constant player we had in Europe. He had 8 years of good quality perfromance at Hamburg being as Right BacK, Right Midfield, or Attacking midfield.
As for Hamburg, if it was not for their financial problems, they would have wished - something they never admit - to have kept Barbarez and Kia.

also at Frankfurt, I have no doubt Kia will make his way through.

really, the Kia issue is for me different than that of Hash, Nekoo, Ando etc...

Mahdavikia had an incredible season and was THE best winger in the Bundesliga that season. At the moment, I do not believe he is the best, FYI.

Hashemian DID have 2 great seasons(10 goals and 16 goals)...

I think your Nekounam analysis is way off, he is the best player in Osasuna. All the fans almost unanimously believe he is the best, I speak spanish and have read their forums. Nekounam is huge in Osasuna....

And Rezaei was nicknamed the secretary of defence by Messina fans...It's true that his Livorno move was unsuccessful, but this only became so after he became injured...
Right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.

I think Mahdavikia is world class. If it wasn't for his family and language issues, Kia should have gone to Liverpool when Houllier wanted him 4 years ago and to Deportivo La Coruna this year.

Also Nekounam was huge in La Liga last season, the guy came unexpected from nowhere, got positive comments from all the Spanish media, AS describing him as one the best technician that had played in La liga in the last years....imagine if he was in Europe in his early 20's.

I think this is one of the problems, Ando is already 24, Nekounam went to Europe at 26, Rezaei at 28, Karimi at 27, etc. If we could send our prospects (like Kia) earlier to develop in better environements and conditions in the European leagues, we would have stars instead of decent players.
