Over the last few days we've all been continuously hearing/reading various news regarding Ashkan's controversial decision of not playing vs Israel.
One noticeable issue is the contradictory reports/quotes seen in different news agencies including the german ones regarding Ashkan's eligibility for joining TM.
I understand that according to FIFA's rules he would not be allowed to play for any other NT than Germany due to his age, however it's hard to believe that all these international sources would not be aware of the current international football legislation.
In addition, there is a group of people who interprete Ashkan's decision as an easier way of avoiding heavier german community critisism in case of opting to play for TM.
Do you guys think that FIFA might consider an exception in his case?(obviously if he chooses to play for Iran)
I wish and pray from the bottom of my heart that somehow we'll be able to absorb this huge talent into our beloved TM.
“I have more Iranian than German blood in my veins, that must be accepted"
