You forgot to mention my dad as another eye witness I asked him the other night.

I am also an eye witness, although calling Ghelichkhani a perspolisi,is misleading !
He never wanted to be a perspolisi, nor he is associated with them, he played for them for a short while, as he was a poletical man, and changed clubs...
he must be more asociated with " OGHAB "

OK... so we can safely assume that Parviz Ghleechkhani , in fact , wore Perspolis Jersey and played for the team, and you were an eyewitness .

looks like sardar says that he quit tm after 1976 montreal games and exited Iran to play about 2 years for San jose earthquakes. While playing for sj earthquakes he explains about a run in with the shah and all the speculations for the 78 world cup that he claims he was selected to go but he did not and zahedi says that they never selcted him. so as far as the time table of him quitting and playing close to 2 years for sj goes this leaves no room actually for playing for persepolis. He actually mentions that he went to persepolis for abdo and he got his exit permit for him to get out of iran. He mentions that this was only for about 6 months. He does not mention that he suited up
but this much of it is enough for me to fold. I made a mistake and I am sorry sheer nokhodi

No need to apologize. As far as I am concerned you and the older members here know 100 times more about Iranian football than me.

NOW.... The big question , and I surely hope if someone can reliably answer that . How many matches ( league , Hazfi or friendly matches) did Ghleech play for Perspolis ?

Who knows? I can't even find how many teams played in the Takhte Jamshid Cup in its last season or how many points the winner had.
In the words of Ferdosipour the English and German can name their team waterboy from 100 years ago, we can't even find accurate squad rosters for our current teams!"

Archiving and statistics does not seem to be our strong suit. That is why sites like yours are very important.

                      HOW TRUE....HOW TRUE...
Unfortunately , this is a fact.

When Team Melli was in Bahrain and when I went to see them in the hotel I met Mr. Mohammad Ranjbar (God bless his soul) who was the Team Manager. While talking to Ciro. Ranjbar took an interest in our conversation. He suggested we take a walk outside the hotel for a chat.

He was explaining to me that in Iran , no one cared too much about research and statistics in football like they do in Europe and that is quite regrettable. He was taken back when I told him what I do and what I have in terms of statistics and data about Iranian football, but I complained to him that only a few people in Iran helped me to collect data , in fact most of them . copy and refer to it without even mentioning the source.

He was sympathetic and he promised that if I visit Iran , he will do his utmost to help me gain the historic data and informations that I require....unfortunately , it did not occur as Mr. Ranjabar was sick shortly after and was in retirement before his unfortunate demise. God bless him.

The only two players I don't recognize is the first one standing on the left and the first one sitting on the left.

the first one sitting on the left could be a young PANJ ALI?

the one standing on the left I am still puzzled.
