Experienced parents know, when a 3 year old wants something that he/she should
not have, you can either try to prevent the kid directly and risk getting them upset
crying or you can simply distract them with something else.
The whole situation of IFF head TM coach reminds me of the same, the question is:
Are we as fans smart enough to focus on the real issue or are we like the 3 years
old who gets distracted, and forget about what we really want?
In his short tenure as IFF head, Mr.Kafashian has proven himself to be as incompetent
as one can expect:
--How the Clemente deal was handled
--How there were no back up plans
--How domestic candidates were handled
--How inspite of the emergency condition IFF was put in, still Kafashian did not react
to get friendlies organized, and did not treat this with any level of urgency
--How as we now find out, Daei does not even have a contract!
--What does Kafashian do anyway?
But I be a fool to try to focus on Kafashian, when the focus should be on AliAbadi. After all,
if you have an "election" that has only ONE incompetent candidate, should you be blaming the
election process or the fool who walked out as the winner or the people who have filtered the
candidates and made a mockerey of election?
Of course all football progams around the world have various issues, but don't we get a feeling
that ours is unique, and not in a way that would make one feel proud?
Now I see some fans raising the issue of if QN was better than Daei all along, or perhaps
if Viera is the answer to our problems or may be Jalali!! Hello? Must we go around
the same circle over and over again?
Our main issue is, we don't have process and we don't have rules. When someone is appointed to
head of TM, purely due to the emergency situation created by those in charge, should we not be
focusing on rectifying the problems with the PROCESS rather than pointless argument over if
coach X is better than Y? (which is what AliAbadi and Kafashian want us to focus on for now).
Can any respectable coach, get a group of players and without adaquate time and prepration
deliever a team worthy of world class competion? Before even trying to propose another head
coach, think of the 3 year old and see if you are being manipulated.
I started this thread, strictly because a great portion of our discussions have solutions, heck most
of the rest of the world doesnt even have to deal with this type of issue, except
we have selfish individuals like AliAbadi, who want to prove if they are not in charge nothing
will happen, and along the way they do everything to undemine the process and therefore re-enforce
our biggest weakness: Lack of proper rules, process and accountability.
I can look at my crystal ball and tell you: in the next few months, even if we make it to
the next round, so much focus will be on Daei and trying to destroy the man. Some fans not
knowingly will want Branko back, som QN some Qotbi Dr.Z and some even Mayli Kodan.
Alas unless the process is fixed from the top even Murinho or Lippi could not fix our football:
with current IFF and POE even the best coaches in the world will resign 2 weeks into the job.
