Now latest news say Ali Daei is the coach....

we have had man confirmations in the last weeks: first Clemente signed contract, confirmed. then un-confirmed. then Ghotbi as headcoach confirmed, now Ali Daei is the head-coach.

I really dont know what to say or what to think. If that is what IFF wanted to achieve, they have been successful in that. The worst federation in the world.

somewhere I read daei was given a one year contract.
now, I dont know the details and what it all entails. would he carry on as saipa's coach ( ie. dual job problem ) ?
if the prospects of a foreign coach after the first round still exists, would daei be relegated to the assistant coach ?
I dont know. we'll be more clear in later days.

But what I DO know is I think it is best for both TM and Daei himself that he urges the IFF to search for and sign a good foreign coach ( hopefully not branko !! ) and he either persists as the assistant coach or goes back to saipa.
becoz the way I see it, he may get the pass in the first round , which btw, will do his reputation and popularity immensely well, thank you very much. but the second round opponents are simply too big, too smart and definitely too experienced for him. and he'll be jeopardizing his future prospects as a coach in Iran ( and TM ) if he insists to carry on as the head coach in that round too.
any failure is met with disapproval and hatred of fans , ranging from his supporters and worse, his antagonists who will have a field day each time TM doesnt do well.
I hope he has good, wise ppl advising him correctly, not to pander to his tremendous ego and inflate it beyond logic. does he have sensible advisers around him? I dont know.

Daie selection, was a popularity contest ...I wish him well, but can a TM coach be without a coaching permit ? or coaching training ?....apparantly yes.
