Before anything I must say this result shd not be taken all that seriously. Had it been an offcial game I'm sure the team would have been a totally different team.
But ignoring the result does NOT mean ignoring problems in various aspects of the the team and game. Afterall these tests games are there for us to notice and find problematic areas and try to rectify them.
I didnt watch the first 30 minutes of the game so I wont comment on that. but the final 60 minutes have a few issues needing discussion.
1- most importantly I hope our officials at IFF will NEVER EVER agree or try to arrange a test game with bahrain again.
these animals belong to a cage, not football field.
I'm sorry, but no matter how many times I try to say we shd forget the past or perhaps hope for a different attitude from them, I'm let down by reality !
these maggots truly belong to cages, tranquilized and restrained. and I suggest AFC , instead of checking/testing for illegial drug like steroids, they shd check them for RABIES.
I MEAN IT.
-------------
2- the goal.
apart from the mistakes made which led to the corner, I must express my shock over a very rudimentary and basic matter in such situations.
it is coaching 1 O 1 that you shd protect your posts on corners. ALL over the world we see coaches keep two players on each post guarding them. for what? are they mad? are they insane?
NO. becoz they allow for such cases that we saw today: opponent pouncing on a ball, keeper missing it and the ball passing next to the second post. the post which shd have been guarded by a player.
screw the result, we made a SILLY ( and absolutely avoidable ) MISTAKE in letting that ball in !!!
--------------
3- I have no idea how many games we've played using the god forsaken 4-2-3-1 formation. but for gid's sake ENOUGH ! PLEASE.
How many times are we trying to force something into our football that simply doesnt fit in ????
at least not yet and not until our clubs adopt it and master it BEFORE THE TM APPLIES IT.
for something to be so persisted upon, one shd have some acceptable evidence that it works. NO? why are we insisting on this cursed and sh*tty formation? based on what success rate?
single forward, again?
he was swarmed all the time and yet we didnt see any change in formation.
well, I thought with meydavoodi coming in, we'd see a two man forward line.
HEH ! fat f**king chance !!
meydavoodi moved into midfield !
-----------------
4- another game where we wasted ample opportunities in corners and set pieces !
some of them were quite horrible !
look. if our coaches believe set pieces are not worth planning on, why take them and waste our time in the first place?
we shd , as soon as the ref calls a corner or a free kick, graciously and QUICKLY hand over the ball to the opponents.
maybe we'll get the fifa fair play award again !
-------------------
5- in the portions that I saw, until madanchi came in, the ONLY ( patheitc, no? ) long ranger I saw came from ando ... which wasnt even goal-bound !!
that's it.
and seeing this, I'm willing to bet in the first 30 minutes, at best we'd have seen one more shot !
anyone?
and then madanchi comes in and immediately creates two excellent dangerous opportunities , one hitting the post, the other forcing a major save.
shdnt our coaches understand there are such "alien & strange" matters in football, such as SHOOTING ?
why shd we wait for 75 minutes to see a long ranger shot on target ?
why?
---------------------
6- Now, to some players.
ANDO -
the guy is not in form. we all have seen it and his last game in eufa cup underlines that FACT.
yes, he did some rather surprising interceptions to be fair. but I'm sure even Maziar ZAREH could have done so as well. but what ando brough in was his lacklustre passing, his irritable attitude and finally, a red card that we shd have seen it coming a mile away.
bad choice to start with.
but then again, our football is PLAGUED with the absolute pathetic unwritten rule that european legioners must start games, no matter how crappy their form is !! it's been like this for 3-4 years now !!!!! after VH's immature childish temper tantrum !
thank you Mr. hashemian for this valuable gift to our football.

BENGAR -
well , this is more an issue of AGHILI, than bengar.
I like bengar and believe he is one of our better defenders. and deserves to be called up. but when we have Aghili in the team, starting with bengar who makes way too many fauls around the 18, is not very wise.
anyone still wants to defende dropping Aghili for such an utterly STUPID excuse of missing a couple of days' training?
======
EBRAHIM SADEGHI -
yes, he played better than his sub-par game in saipa. BUT even this didnt deserve to give him the edge over a player like JABBARI , who came in with some REALLY nice passes in the few minutes he was given.
so why persist with sadeghi .... for so long ? even longer than karimi, who played far better than sadeghi ?
.... which brings me to another issue :
SAIPA players.
If I'm not mistaken, the player who took over after Kaabi was subbed out is from saipa. right?
they guy was absolutely useless !
in fact with kaabi subbed out, we saw a clear & palpable weakening of our right side in both defense and offense.
heh. "offesne" ? that was a joke !!!
I HAVE TO question daei's reasoning for subbing kaabi out, karimi out instead of sadeghi, and persisting with out of form khalili.
THE ONLY explanation I can imagine for such subbing and formation is :
A) Daei may have been trying to keep his TRUE starting line up against kuwait hidden from observers.
and
B) seeing the barbarian rabid mongrel dogs of the opposing team, he decided to prevent injury to some of his main players ( kaabi, karimi who suprisingly did very well, ... )
that's all I can come up with. I just cant think any logical reason for the formation and subbings but the above-mentioned.
============================
having said all that, I still think we'll do well against kuwait.
I just hope these two games SERVE Daei properly in his learning curve and perhaps be the reason for further changes in TM's football.
But ignoring the result does NOT mean ignoring problems in various aspects of the the team and game. Afterall these tests games are there for us to notice and find problematic areas and try to rectify them.
