and bahram jan, did you know Tibet does NOT belong to China ( as much as bahrain doesnt belong to Iran anymore )? and that China has been aggressively pursuing an insidious campaign of changing the demographics of tibet by pushing more and more chinese into that region to be able to impact its population and thus, policies ?

and did you know the poor tibetans do not resort to violence & terrorism like the rest of the oppressed ppl ( palestinians ) or arent backed by the all powerful western nations who come to their aid at a drop of the hat ( kuwait, ksa, israel, s korea, .... ) ? .... so all that is left for them is peaceful demonstrations ?

did you also know that even as we speak, china is continuing its aggressive expansionist policies in the region. and if they're allowed, a couple of years from now, you'd not see countries like bhutan or even nepal as independent nations anymore ?

so what the west does in comparison to what shd have happened a LOOONG time ago, is nothing and not enough. and frankly, my views are NOT based on what the west thinks, coz more often than not, the west follows its own benefits and agenda. it just happens that, at the moment, they fall parallel to the rights of poor tibetans.

We see things from different angles......payman jaan,
Although,my heart has always been with the oppressed people.and do not want any one's right to be taken away...but,things are little more complecated than that....
Tebet, we like it or not, was over powered by the chines, during thier RED revelution, just like many other places were, such as Azarbaijan, and turkemanistan, ....or Texas of USA,........
China, has never done what Russia has in chechnia, or what England has done in fulkland Islands.......
      The question is:
why, the west, does not do anything with palestians ?
Why, are they silent with the Russia ?
Why don't they interfier with Quebec ?
Why no one cares what Kurdish people want ?
The porto rico, has more than 300 poletical prisoner, for thier independence.

      .....................
Who helped Tiawan seperate from china ? and why ?
.....there are poletical agendas, that go far from human rights issues, and come about, and the west's cameras, and Hopla, only brings them out, when the time is right, to stablish poletical leverage, and negociating chips.
...That photo, you put, " Say no to beijing olympic "................where did that poster got financed from ?

2- how far can IFF comply ?
3-Will Islamic republic accept women in stediums ?
4- What will happen if they do n't ?
5-what will happen to WC attendance?
6-what will happen to football to Iran ?

It really shouldn't be a problem. They could easily split the stadium in two sections, and even hire female guards if necessary for the womens sections.

Khamenie has made a real mess of a situation that could be solved rather easily. Besides women watch tm games at home on tv and they zoom in on the male players. So his position makes no sense whatsoever, unless he is planning on banning women from watching tm games at home too.

I agree with that. It is rather hypocritical of the west to criticize china and not other worse human rights abuses, including their own. There is clearly a political agenda behind this.

1- well, bahram jan, I got my views on tibet not from living in the west or any western media. I got it while I was living in the east and talkign to tibetans themselves.
so you cant say I was swayed by the western propoganda.

and as both if us mentioned some examples, the west will not move a finger if it doesnt see profit in it. so they're out of the question.
as for the posters and such ideas, most of it is from the independent thinking ppl , some of whom do live in the west. and I dont see ANYTHING wrong with some of them, their words or views.
some of the most active and true animal rights groups are westerners. same with pro-environment groups. same with human rights groups. and so on.
just becoz it comes from the west, does not mean it is sullied with dirty politics and govt' agenda.
but this is no defense of the "west" as it doesnt matter to me. what matters is individuals who have shown to be true to noble causes and ideas that I share too. some are westerners, some are easterners. they're all the same to me.

                  ==================

                  and women in stadia:
                  in principle it is fine.
but if you all have attended games in azadi, you'd know the stupid fans and their slogans, curses, songs, ... that leave even men blushing at times !!!

our culture ought to change along w these progressive decisions

Khabalood jan, I agree with you, but this is about giving some sort of freedom to half of the society which seems to be in contradiction with their current policies(e.g. afzayeshe amniat project).

Bavar kon zzgloo jan, these marmoolaks will find a way to cheat. The best example is the way they conducted this theatrical IFF elections and finally appointed their own element.

On the other hand, in addition to Iran, some of our Persian gulf neighbors like Saudi Arabia will most certainly not obey such rules.

Having said these, I wish from the bottom of my heart that FIFA would impose it's authority on these corrupt FFs which will undoubtedly have positive results, not only on our football but the whole society.

you are probabely right,as these mullah are the master of " Mastmali " !
yet, It seems, that this FIFA is different than what we had in the past...they are indeed involved ,and they have some smart people too.
They will push, for privately owned clubs, and TV revenues.......They have some pakistani, arab, and some third world countries exacutives who know more how Mullahs might do........, although, FIFA will not get all it wants, but little by little, they push forward......They own the WC, and they make countries to comply...sooner or later.
