Congratulations to Persepolis, the new IPL champs

Let me be the first to congratulate PP on winning the league with an exciting team.
Their team was always one of the favorites for the title throughout the season and let me add that now, Ghotbi has a lot to be proud of.
After they got rid of sheyss , and replaced him with Zarei, plus some disciplinary actions like expulsion of mamani, benching niki and others, pp was transformed into a much more exciting and more cohesive unit.
bagheri also peaked at the right time.

In the final, too, they played a better game than sepahan and I think they deserved the win.
Although I'm quite puzzled why the ref decided on 7 minuts as that was most peculiar. remember we got 8 minutes against aussies when that moron jumped on the net and tore it down and it took forever for the officials to repair/replace the net. that was 8 minutes.
what happened during this game that warranted 7 minutes ? in fact no goals were scored which is one of the factors ref's include for calculating the stoppage time. that certainly will be a talking point for some time to come.

PP deserved the win today, but I'd have rather see pp win it without this issue of time .

anyway, I'm looking forward to see them tear into asian opponents in next season's ACL.
I hope they dont lose their influential players like khalili, aghaei, zarei , vaezi, nouri, ashoubi, ...

I was also quite impressed with the short abdi. he will go a long way if he keeps this up.

They deserved those added minutes. Just about every Sepahan player got a card. Estimating about 30 seconds for each card and that is about five minutes already. Taking into account injuries and other miscellaneous time wasting by Sepahan players and one could argue they deserved more time.

Overall a good win for Parspolis and they fully deserved to win the league. I just hope we can keep Ghotbi. He is a great coach by Irani standards.
The REAL. The LEGEND. Since 2001.

Congratulations to PP and their coaching stuff. They deservingly won.

on 7 mins extra time: the only explanation to me would have been the high number of yellow cards and fouls by Sepahan.

the 30 second is NOT counted for cards. it is counted for subbing, khabalood jan. also for each goal that is scored.
        but not for cards.

if you watch regular football games from anywhere in the world, in a half that didnt have a goal and didnt have any extraordinary event ( like a fight or fan rushing in or ... ) but only some injuries and stops, much like the second half, you'd see 3 ( as lower limit ) to 4 or even 5 minutes ( highest limit ).
( without the time wasting tactics, we'd see 1-2 minutes ONLY, for such a 45 minutes anywhere in ther world)

7 minutes IS quite EXTRA-ordinary for such a 45 minutes.

please do not even talk about the extra 7 min. sepahan wanted a draw we wanted a win and controlled teh ball for 60 percent of the time hit the bar and did everything rite...

do you remember this ddjan :0

at best he will win the league with big time braggin rights despite all that has happened and the 6 point deduction.
At worst he will still finish top of the table which is not all that bad for his first experience...
In fact today as far as points earned on the field he and persepolis are the better team..

More than anything congradulations to Ghotbi.......
he silenced many by this, 6 point reduction, still championship.
            and about the 7 minutes.....
first of all, it is not 7 minutes too much, may be 1 or 2 minutes too much, as 4 or 5 minutes is very normal....beside,the game had too much yellow cards, and waisting time by the Sepahan.

              hah !
all that would have come to roost if the ref had asked for 5 minutes instead of 7 minutes of extra time ( which is more logical, btw ).

I dont want to take away anything from pp's victory. as I said, they deserved the win in the game ( although not how they did it ultimately ).
but I still stand by what I said long ago.
it's a different matter that sepahan failed on countless occasions to close the deal and seal the title. and left the door open again and again for pp or even saba to overtake them. which I put on the account of playing in THREE different tournaments .
something that neither pp or saba have done this season.

notice I'm not going to go over countless factors that were stacked up again st sepahan. apart from 3 tourneys, there are points like general fatigue among all players, injuries to its influential players like navidkia & karimi & mohamadi & akbari, bengar's suspension, loss of points NOT for something that the club did ( as is the case of pp ) , .... etc.
ANY of which could have and WOULD have turned this game into a mere formality.

how about a little LOGIC for a change, eh?

              ============

              I agree bahram jan.
4 or in the rare case, 5 minutes was to be expected.
I dont see anyone saying anything other than this, though.
given the events of the second half and the NORMAL rules of the game seen EVERYWHERE in the world, 4 or maximum of 5 would have been correct. but not 7.

              ==============

I also didnt want to discuss other matters such as the yellows ... but since it's brought up ....
some of which were absolutely uncalled for.
like emad reza who barely touched the ball but got a yellow.
or homami's yellow which by itself was correct, but by the same token , Vaezi shd have got one too for the EXACT thing when pp was ahead in the first half.
so you see, it's not a good idea to bring up the refereeing.

at the same time, I'd say some, NOT ALL, referees would have given kaabi the penalty in the first half. but this guy didnt.

funny that u talk about logic!!?
remember I told you have a dash of what you are preaching

                NASHASHIDI SHAB DERAZE

                JOOJARO AKHARE PAYEEZ MEESMORAN

so what team really had the poise to take this down, if you have logic without ama and agar and this and sage and soote you will see that it was persepolis...

in that we did great with our games and will power, its out there to see for any LOGICAL person

persepolis had the short hand of refing, legal BS this season, so dont humor me with your opinion of 5 min vs 7 minutes!! over time

excuses are excuses but like I said on the pitch and with the fist persepolis did it the rest is all sharhe moseebat
and that my friend is LOGIC AND FACT, NOW IN INK, do you have logic? I am sure you do...so step above and beyond making it personal its gotto be one of those u know "I eat my hat" dige chi mikhay ? you had written persepolis off and now voila!

                  hahaha

I guess the phrase "graceful celebration" shd be introduced to PFDC forums.
I can imagine the pent up tension and stress that needs such base reaction after it. I shudder to think what you would have done to yourself if pp hadnt won !

perhaps I overestimate ppl around here.

ppl were certainly quiet when pp was playing like crap for about 12-13 games in a row ( while getting lucky with some goals and wins )!!!!!

anyway. thank god the ref added those 2 or 3 EXTRA minutes to the actual extra-time preventing all sorts of tragedies and mortal loss in the process.

thought this was about logic and facts ..making it personal...fyi I would have gotten sad about not getting it done and thats about it...

people and the fans were certainly complaining about our performance when it was crap..u can check out the threads! and then we pay tribute and respect to where its due...

I think you underestimate yourself rather than overestimating others, you know there's grace in accepting the facts! you could pay respect where its due and this persepolis deserves just that..at least logic and facts dictate that...

I think if some of you wait a little for Adel FerdousiPour on his 90 show, he will show all of us if the 7 minutes was justified or not.. PP scored in the 6th minute by the way..

There reason for the 7 minutes, I think, was due to the number of 'time consuming' injuries..

I appreciate that. Very nice of you kasrajan. I will not forget this kind words.

We were in a surgeons convention with my wife and the family. We were all in red jerseys and wearing proud smiles.

This season was so important for so many reasons:
I really wanted the gentleman that ghotbi has been to be able to pave thru in aIran and accomplish wha the had promised so baldly in the beginning of the season.

Witht he 6 ponts deducted I really wanted the bragging rights of a team as such that in its blood line and heritage has the never die attitude to once again show what does a persepolis jersey and dele sheer mean...

Most importantly I wanted it for our representatives (fans) that in cold and warm put their heart in their mouth and as always banged on it with a positive campaign to show that persepolis has the best fans in the world....and a never surrender attitude...if you have stood even once in the stands and on the line you would feel it and I could just feeli it sitting at home and watching how these amazing fans pushed and pushed and pushed the team forward..and that was magestic to watch...

you see we are iranians and emotions are a big part of our heritage and cultue. Thats why a lot of times it comes to hunt us down we cant keep a coll face on the pitch but then again this warm blood and warmth pooring fromt he stands to the pitch has to be respected cause it is us ...iranain to the bone!
