Without getting into too much of politics and socio economic issues, Iranian society is (maybe forced to )transitioning from a tradition based society to a semi modern society. It is thirsty and hungry for new ways, style, thinking, methods (note how Ghotbi became emperor very shortly with limited success in Iran).

This contrast between the traditionalisem and modernisem or semi modernisem is much more painful for most of us that lived outside Iran. Things are improving in Iran, not as fast as they should or we like, but things are improving nevertheles. To get a perspective, back around 1997, bunch of us outside Iran wanted to collect money and pay for the renovation of Azadi stadium pitch (when the Aussie team came to Iran to play us for WC 98 it was a disgrace). Now you see how it is and many cities have good pitches. So things are improving but not as fast as we wat.

Bahram asks who is responsible? Our historical backwardness from past 500 years. When Europe was going through Reniasance and at times, Safavid in Iran flaming the Sunnie Shia war in order to create an ideaologic base for their government in Iran. Who is to blame, Gingiz and Taymoor and Zorestrian Mobeds who didn't head the religous reform by Mani and Mazdak and it led to the situation in Sassanid empire who Islam even became attractive for some Iranians. Who is to blame? Most of the past kings, Ghajars, Forigen powers.

As Payman said, at present we should only try to look for what we have control over and try to make small steps reforms there.
"When I see the good in you, you get motivated, feel good about yourself and that creates synergy. It creates an environment where everybody can work better together. I think in the Iranian culture it becomes very ordinary to always see the bad in each other."
Afshin Ghotbi ( Former TM Head Coach)

This is a great wisdom, we all can learn from !
not too long ago, we had a threads here, in F +, about, " importance of coaching", and " Are we fooling ourseleves ", in those threads, some of our respected members, either sugested we should just take it easy, and to not worry,as things are totaly out of our hands, and the others recommanded, coaching not to be important as much and we should wait till we have better system, etc,etc................

But, what abut mean while ?
what about aspirations of 70 million ?
what about our talents, and what about our historical place ? etc,etc,..

If a coach should improve the passes exchanged between players, and if he wants to improve offensive out put......?

It is these issues, along with , system not being an issue for fans within Iran, should let us to put more emphasise on coaching !

The coaching is the single issue, that within this broken system can make the biggest difference.

We may call it, objective pragmatism !.......................Or,.. shotting up,and putting up !..., which ever you prefer !!!
