Required Qualities in player for playing in Top European leagues

when I heard Shojaei got signed up by Osasuna I started thinking, why some players like Nekounam and Shojaei go to Europe and many others which are considered to be superstar by the fans don't make it.

I won't talk by individual players yet, but as the discussion grows maybe we can discuss the attributes which made certain player go and shine in Europe and other either fail or never make it there.

We all know the European football is based on fast plays, team work, and perfect execution of the game plan.
I will start by two example that are top players, but did not survive European football.
Riqulme from Argentina and our own Karimi
They are both highly skilled and made it to top European leagues but did not survive. we all have seen them play and know what are they capable of, but why did they fail? In my opinion these two failed because they are used to slow pace football. They just don't hustle enough for European standard.

Maybe answering these questions will shed a light on some of our superstars in UAE, and why they are still there and not even called up to TM.

In addition, the biggest thing our fans dont pay attention to is durability!
When a player does well in one game, everyone jumps: Oh did you see so and so. But
football at professional level is about delivering on an ongoing basis.

This is why as much as I like Jabbari I don't think he can make it in Europe. He is
simply not sturdy enough. Not very different than Navidkia.

Looking at Shojaee selection (and I hope he stays healthy) that is a key consideration.
I am not talking injury in a game, that can happen to anyone, but wear and tear
due to frequent play is something the European don't like.

Look at the Turkish team. These folks played their heart out, but 5 players injured,
    just doesn't seem right.

If we do well in the next round, look for a player like Rezai who is stoky and gets up
and run every time he is hit, to get drafted to Europe way ahead of more injury prone players.

BTW, this also makes the said players more "trainable" into hot and heavy defenders to do the switch between offense and defense.

apart from all the points you guys mentioned, there is another point that has been held true for 95% of transfers to europe.

visibility at your national team :

unless either you are a fantastic and magnificent player who is somehow left out of ur nat'l team, but play so well to create tremendous vibe around you , which attracts attention to you.
or you must have a very good agent who somehow pushes ur case ... which cant get anywhere really interesting if you are not a part of ur nat'l team anyway.

some leagues actually have rules about the player having had at least 75% of appearance in his nat'l team recent games. , like the UK.
we all remember how ando got into trouble becoz of this rule and how he almost didnt get signed . but they somehow worked it out becoz he did play in the WC, which by hook or crook pushed his case through.

      ================

but getting SIGNED is one thing, REMAINING there is another.

we've seen many signings to know there IS vast difference between the two.
just ask dinmohamadi, mansourian, moosavi, latifi, majidi, bagheri, azizi, nakisa, yazdani, khatibi, ............ even karimi !!!!
in fact those who have had sustaining power are very few: VH, kia, daei, pashazadeh, minavand, rezaei.
here, you'd need a lot of things to REMAIN there and just talent is not enough.

you could be ronaldinho's father. if you dont learn the language, dont apply yourself, dont work hard, dont dissolve urself in the team, dont train as hard and even harder than the locals, and ...., you wont get to spend more than a season or two.

Riquelme thrived at Villareal(in La Liga, as well as the Champions League). He had a FIFA world player of the year nomination...
Right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.
