Change of Schedule for TM WC qualifying games

I know this is there in the general forum. but I'm posting it here just in case someone ( human or anyone else from Iran) visits F+ too, to read it and act.
so making it sticky would be nice, fellas.

    ===================================

the compact nature of our last 3 games is very worrying.

add to this, the fact that we shd be traveling to east asia, play a game, then fly back to Iran ( wastes at least a day in journey ) and even not withstanding the jet lag , play another game in 3 day's time, then pack up again , waste at least another day in journey , to go back to east asia to face the south koreans in 5 day's time!!!!!

given how flight scheduling and IFF planning is, I'd say we would waste MORE THAN A DAY in traveling between Iran and each korea.

now, what does that leave us with?
half dead set of players !
god forbid if our qualification hinges on the last 2 games ( uae in tehran and s korea in korea )!!!
all the while, ksa & s korea, our closest rivals have a far easier schedule and travel plan! S korea has its final two games at home. while saudi travels only once with 6-7 days gap in between.

ala, in general forum suggested a very good switch which I find extremely do-able and wise.

we switch the hosting schedule with the north koreans.
which means instead of playing the OCT 15th in tehran, we play in N korea.
while we play the return game on June 6th in Iran.

that means neither N korea or Iran have to travel back & forth between east and west asia within a few days' time. it benefits both teams.

in fact Iran can sweeten the deal ( make them an offer the cant refuse )for the N Koreans by offering to host them between our game on June 6th until they want to go to saudi ( giving them access to all facilities, training grounds, hotel, transport, .... the works ) for their June 17th game.... which I think would be only 6-7 days since teams travel a few days earlier to acclimatize with the venue and weather.
that costs IFF next to nothing, compared to the hassles of TM travel, and what damage it might do to the team's fortunes.

and we also stay in Iran for two games ( N korea and uae ) , before we leave for S Korea for the final game in 6 day's time.

ala sent a letter to IFF personally
I suggest we do the same here as well. or try contacting IFF or anyone slose to TM or IFF, ASAP.

coz the more time we take to do this, the more possibility of a denial or refusal from AFC.

Unfortunately based on Daei's interview on ISNA, it seems like he is taking
the scheulde to be cast in stone and he does not want to question it.

It is one thing to say we want to do well etc etc, it is another to really
believe we will have advanced from the group before the last game! which
    is what Daei is thinking.

    http://www.isna.ir/ISNA/NewsView.asp...1155176&Lang=P

On the other hand you can argue it is really not his job to be fighting in this
front. Which brings to question the responsibility of Kafashian and IFF.

    Some simple questions:
Shouldn't IFF have a web site?
Shouldn't there be an OFFICIAL way for us fans to be able to contact IFF?
Shouldn't IFF be responsible for responding to fans concerns?

but for IFF to act, the matter must be raised by the coach or staff.

unless these ppl say we are not satisfied or are worried about this, why shd anyone else try to meddle in their business.
the staff and ppl at TM ought to make it know that they would like a change.
now, if they do propose a suggestion, like ala's, all the better . Iff can take that and make it a formal request to AFC and N korea.

this goes back to the league committee suddenly coming up with that absurd compact scheduling, while many ppl expected the TM coach and staff to object. But they didnt.
now, we somehow got away with it in the first stage. we werent pushed or stretched that much and our opponents also werent that strong to do so.

but in the next stage, things will be different.
the stakes are higher and there's little room for mistakes.
if TM staff dont act, thinking they didnt in the first stage and they qualified, they are taking a massive risk.

we shd not leave any stone unturned.

much like choosing the venue for the games.
ksa, uae, uzbeks, china, japan, .... they all have done it before. they all change and choose different venues for their games, depending on what adds to their advantages.
in Iran, we are like "pa'pe", we just dont bother to use anything that adds even a little bit to our advantages !
again and again, azadi , where it is empty for most of the games.
so we dont get to enjoy any fan pressure on opponents either!

it all goes back to wanting to get that extra inch out of what's dealt to you.
either you have the brains or guts or desire, or you dont!
      our football doesnt!!!

Well, if he really can't do anything about it, it's probably the best not to complain and come up with excuses for failure in advance.

Level of competition is some how, that it all boiles down to the last three games,as no one can have early qualification.....and thats make it even more important to ask for change.

Ala's suggestion is so simple and such no brainer that one would have thought
someone in IFF was already running with the idea. Yet it is frustrating to see
no action or initiative. I double checked North Koreas schedule and they
            should love this schedule change.

ALL IT TAKES IS FOR SOMEONE IN POSITION OF AUTHORITY TO ASK
            AFC/N.Korea for this simple change.

BTW, since posting this I found a site for IFF. Although it has a "contact
us" option when I click it does not get me into anytype of mail composer.

Also if I click on many of it internal links they show "NOT found". Real
            disgrasful.

            This is real frustraing.

            .

I have checked with " Iran varzeshi ", kayhan, Iran,IRNA,ISNA,hamshahri,etc..all.....there is absolutly no sign of disapproval for the schedual......
what happened to that " Big Mouth",Iranian media ?...same IFF and Media whom had repeatedly complained to FIFA about smallest things.

but if he wants to have the luxury of something to blame in case ..... , then he'd better make an issue of it now, so later he can say THIS is why ...

                ======================

well, since IFF is so crappy not to have an email address, we can sedn our letters to the papers and urge them to follow it up. I did a little digging and came up with:

                - for example IV's is :
                iran-varzeshi@iran-varzeshi.com

                - alborz's is:
                AlborzSport@yahoo.com

                - navad:
                navadsport@yahoo.com

                - donyaye football has 2 or 3 sections :

in http://www.donyayefootball.com/ you'd find a couple of sections where you can write ur email and suggest stuff

                they also have:
                admin@donyayefootball.com

                - keyhan varzeshi :
                info@kayhanvarzeshi.com

                - Abrar varzeshi :
                varzeshi-abrar@yahoo.com

I'm sure with a little more digging ppl can come up with more.

so lets start bombarding these email addresses, which will force them to print it and push for it in TM, IFF, ...

I suggest someone writes the farsi letter and post it here so we all can copy it and send it to all the above ( and more ) email addresses.

can anyone write a concise, short letter ( it shd not be too long for the reader to discard it ) ?

                ===========================================

OR JUST CONTACT HUMAN HIMSELF ( depending on how regularly he reads his emails ) AT HIS WEBSITE:
                http://www.humanafazeli.com/Contact.aspx

I just sent one to him. you all can do so as well.

This ought to get things rolling.

Let's see, we as fans can raise flags and point to the problem. Wise management,
if they have not thought of the problem themselvs would be grateful that the issue was
raised, and run with the ball. Unwise/ignorant management on the other
hand, would simply ignore the problem, but later on, if a problem pops up, they will use that as an excuse for their incompetence.

Case in point: This is such a low hanging fruit. It does not take a rocket scientist to
know flying 25,000 miles in 11 days and dealing with 8 hours of time difference every
4 days will make a huge difference in players performance.

Furthermore, what does it take to raise the issue with AFC or FIFA? A letter?

Surprisingly, even Ali Daei said some not very intelligent things in this regard: To the
effect that we should have won by then. This unfortunately tells me he is not looking
for the best interest of players, or at least he is not comprehending the added burdon,
when there does not need to be any.

ZZ Jan, you did well by raising the issue and we tried to pursue. Maij even wrote
a letter. If IFF and TM staff do not believe this is an issue then it must not be

It just amazes me, of the 5 or 6 sports paper I read, not a single one even raised this
                    issue?!

well I sent a letter to each and every media/paper I could get hold of ( some, to 2 different addresses ) as well as wrote to houman ... twice, about it.

One would think getting it directly to the TM staff would have resulted in something even if the media idiots forget to read their emails !!!!

like GK, I havent heard anything about it.

I would LOVE to see the situation where we wouldnt need the points of the last couple of games or even the last game. much like what Daei says.
BUT as we say : if wishes were horses, then beggars would ride.

what we wish is something. but we can never be SURE of it coming to that.
so I question the reluctance or acceptance of such a near-impossible scheduling on the part of our IFF and TM staff.

are they trying to stay quiet so as to "not rock the boat" ?
Coz I dont think anyone would change an official in IFF or anyone in nat'l team if they raised this matter and pursued it FOR THE BENEFIT OF IRAN.

Precisely. Their silence in this regard is simply strange. Iran and TM must have
quiet a clout in Asia based on its huge fan base and standing, yet .....
this .... is really mind boggling... May be we should have drafted a letter for
Kafashian saying: Dear sir, your job will not be in jepordy now will you cut the crap
and ask FIFA for this simple change to schedule?

BTW if you all remember chaning even schedule is not without precedent. In fact we did this
for AFC championship qualification with Korea due to WC back in 2006. This case is even more straight forward.

                          GK, & DD aziz................
I wonder just as you do.......
It is so strange, for such a "sensationalizing media ", no one, from any paper has even mentioned, let alone demand such request from AFC.....or IFF.

The whole qualification will go down to the last three games...and we will make it or break on those 3 weeks.

I have a starnge Idea ...which may be a little fun !
I think, half a page " ad ", in the football section,of the best selling sport news paper,in Tehran, should not be any more than $500.00.....
If we do that, and all of us chip in......it will be a advertizing for PFDC as well....and may even open up some possibilities , to do more in future !

But eventually the first "ok" has to come from TM coaching.

IFF or kafashian will never do anything unless the team managers want it. otherwise Daei can come and say "who told you to change it? I was happy with it. now I quit." or something like that !

so Daei shd be the first person who says "I want this changed. can you do it? "
