Our coaches and a couple of cents ... and PFDC

Thankfully we did qualify for the next round and Ali Daei who did a great job for TM got a contract he deserved. His position is secure and he seems to be looking to get the proper help and is running the team and preparing them with order it needs. We should credit him for saying we need a lot of prep games and forcing IFF to take this serious. IFF seem to be coming up with good quantity and quality matches(if IFF/POE does not f*ck up the deals). I keep my fingers crossed. Let's give Daei 100%.

Ghotbi, regardless of what anyone says made PP champs this season, inspite of some very problematic players who would not give 100% and made the coach fight in several fronts. The big challenge of course is for him to succeed next season domestically and internationally. The most ridiculous criticism of him is saying he is asking for good players! or he had the audacity to promise Asian League trophy? Heck, shouldnt every coach be giving a goal that he is after at the start of the season so that his failure/success can be measured? But if we all love Iranian football, rather than creating obstacles for him we should also give him 100% support, if we can't we should just remain quiet and let TIME to either prove him a bad coach or make us a believer.

GN, although we have scars from his mismanagement, still since EsEs fans seem to be able to forgive him I see no reason to be Kaseh Garmtar as Aush. I will stay quiet like I proposed to Ghotbis critics. I hope EsEs can meet for the finals of ACL with PP! I would love GN at that point.

Looking at Euro and Scolari debacle, it is obvious to me that most useful coaches should be from the same country they coach. Turkey, Spain and Germany have proven this over and over. With this in mind, let us help our few domestic coaches who may have potential to get to the next level instead of trying to smash everyone to pieces and then desperately search for a foreign coach who at the end will look for his own interest ahead of Irans. The Mafia is not the coaches, and the system will not be fixed by focusing on coaches instead of the mafia.

Now to PFDC: I have been participating in this great forum called PFDC for the past few years. It is great, because it has given us a place to express our concerns, suggestions, opinion and share our feelings after a win or loss as well as it is possible. I have not participated in any other forum because I have never felt the need. As great as the moderators are they should also put the interest of this great forum and its founders ahead of any personal preference (note I am purposely using --preference instead of --interest) to insure this remains the great site it is: Unbiased, professional and always fun.

    Thank you.

just one point, GK jan, I'd assume to prove a nation shd appoint their own coaches for the teams , scolari would be the last case to make
given how he screwed up with his announcement on the eve of their important game against germany !!

he'd hardly be an example of patriotism and putting one's country's priorities before his.

DD Jan, That was exactly my point. Scholari is not from Portugal and he could not care less when he made that announcement. (I said Scholari debacle)

        gol-Kuchik aziz.....
thanks for setting the tone !,as your post is very comprehensive and consise !
With your permission,I also say my take as well.

1-Ali Daei is doing the best he can, and he has room to be better, and hopefuly he will........and so far he has nothing to be ashamed of...
I still have some reservations about him...yet,I supprot him.

2- Ghotbi,is becomeing a catalist for some changes in Iranian football, and his presense is positive !............
I still am wondering if any one knows the details of his contract, and how far did he go on his demands..and how much PP accumidated him.

3-Ghalenoee ,just like daei, has not done anything to be ashamed of...and he defenetly remains an option.

4- The coaches in Europe are mix of foerign and domestic coaches...some countries have so high a class, the coach counts less ,in over all of things
16 out of 32 teams in WC had foerign coaches...and many countries with not much , expectations, have done respectably with foerign coaches, that otherwise may not have been possible....Iranian league coaches, do not seem, all together, to have the complexity of today's football, but they are getting better everyday.............we should support Daei, yet,we can not consider changeing him till WC , out of question.

5- PFDC is great...........has a very avangard,up to date WebMaster, and 4 to 5 very nice, middle age, educated, humble, commited, senior staff, and some young devoted, talented staff as well...............I like to know, how we can contribute some as well.

6- Thanks to lot of intelegent young and ,not so young members, whom have become 5000+, which they are defenetly an asset, and they mostly come accross, as well intentioned, progresive bunch !

        7-I am glad I am here !

Very fair and logic post. 100% agree with it. We need domestic coaches to get to the next level and it seems our new generation of coaches are promissing. With no early conclusion, we should give them the time and credit and let them enjoy our support.

          Cheers,
