Karimi will miss next week game (W11) when IPL come to halt for TM practice.
his place in next CQ list and his role in game versus S Korea will make significant effects on his near future plight.
This one game may be one of most important one for him.

Relationship between Karimi & TM coach is Queiroz interesting level , complicated to say the least.
He has not been physically fit , not good enough to start a game against Korea and has not played for his club Perspolis for a long time due to lack of fitness and dispute with the Coach. Despite all that, CQ has invited him and to justify his decision, CQ has made strong statements praising his quality and importance to TM as a player and coach helper. According to latest MRI test , he will be out 4 more weeks and no chance to play against Uzbekistan but CQ once again resort to exaggeration in his support to justify his invitation .According to CQ , Karimi even on bench can help the team.

Karimi when in form, can help TM, but injured Karimi only take away opportunity from another hopeful player and a distraction than help.

MRI علی کریمی آمده و او با پارگی درجه دو همسترینگ مواجه شده و به همین دلیل حدود چهار هفته از میادین دور خواهد ماند.

I strongly suspect that Karimi/Queiroz relationship is strongly related to Manuel Jose/Karimi relationship. One Portuguese is using Karimi against another for personal reasons.

Come on Carlos , what do you think we are ? a bunch of daft fans who never seen a foreign coach at work or a football game being played?? Karimi WAS a good player , no doubt and even if he is a great player now , how on earth is he claiming that an injured Karimi on the bench will help Team Mell?? I guess this statement of his is similar to the claim he made about the Tajikistan match where he said it was a good preparation for the Uzbekistan match , yet he never played a single player who started the Korea match , which I assume is the full team ??? I guess the likes of Nekounam , Heydari , Rahmati etc learned a great deal by sitting on the bench and watching Tajikistan being comprehensively beaten by TM's reserve team !!!!

What is really disgusting about these smart ass football coaches , is when they think they are above the intelligence of the common fan , and they can bulls**t their way around with such smart ass statements. Queiroz , of course , is not the only one in this category.

I wouldn't keep him in the squad injured and possibly not even fit as long as he is without match praxis.

However, the coach is closer to the players and journalists and might see advantages in keeping him that we don't.

Normally a 16-18 man squad is sufficient for a single game. We will have 22 instead of 23 players on the bench in worst case (if Karimi really takes away a spot), which is not really a problem anyways, so I am very relaxed about that matter.

A famous Croatian coach once told me something about this claim.

                quote
"Because , no one has any proof or a chance to confirm or prove such a statement/claim by the coach, he hides behind the cliche which is commonly referred to as The coach knows better.!! and hence , some of these coaches can get away with murder !!"
                unquote

I believe this is one such case that the Gentleman was referring to.

It does not matter if it is a big deal or not, what matter is that it is wrong to include an injured player in the squad and particularly in the national team squad and in the world's most important competition, the WC qualification. No respectable professional coach will allow himself to do that. Period.

^ We will see if he really will be part of the 23-man squad instead of a healthy player, which I strongly doubt. All this is about is Karimi staying in the camp instead of going on holidays, as no club is waiting for him anyways and Queiroz sees his presence as important.

Should very surprisingly Queiroz decide to keep him on the bench instead of another player anyways, he would certainly have his reasons. You can go and ask him if it really bothers you, otherwise you will never understand his reasons anyways. If your alternative is to declare Carlos Queiroz crazy, go ahead, but it would be a worse call than CQ keeping Karimi for sure.

Anyways, I can only repeat: for most competitions, including UEFA Champions League, teams can only have 7 subs on the bench for each match. Noone needs 12 subs for a single game anyways, so yes, no big deal and no need for another PFDC soap opera.

well, Mr Martin Reza, if I need to call or talk to Carlos Queiroz , I will certainly do it myself , but anyway , thanks a lot for your valuable advice.

                      word..!!
Lets not beat around the bush
AK8's leadership(on and off the pitch..!) has been instrumental in Carlos establishing a solid footing in his job in iran, especially early on during the 1st year of tenor, when the whole team was in complete shambles..!!
there is no doubt in anyones mind any more that AK8 was muscled out of PP for non-football related reasons..!! His overall football quality still tops that of any other domestic player and his continued overall value to TM is easily amongst the Top 5.!!
Carlos is so desperate for Quality in the current MF of TM, that he was even willing to Start the out of form and shape Shojaee in two WCQs in a row, coming off a 2 year layoff in football, possessing half of experience and quality of AK8 to begin with..!!
In current TM, AK8 is looked upon as the original and still the most respected Leader by many of our current squad players, irrelevant of Nekunam's captaincy...!! Even if injured, he is well justified to sit on the bench of TM during Uzbek game...!! especially when the bench is as deep as it is currently, when most people who can be of any use in this game are already on the bench anyhow..!!
AK8 Will be the Inspirational Leader of TM, cheering and pumping up our players (as he did in the last game..!) from the sidelines..!! Carlos knows full well how unjustly he has been treated by the political bastards of our football in his club and he is not going to abandon him now..!(even if he were to reduce his bench to only 5 players, AK8 will be one of them..!)
& you know who is up and arm angry about that..??? yup, the usual IR apologists and the regime's over-sympathizers ...!! cause They know, despite AK8 not playing, once he is seen on the sidelines, they are going to be hearing his Name chanted by a 100 thousand strong in Azadi, who love and admire his courage to stand up to and expose the filthy regime puppets of our football...!!
ALI eh KARIMI, ALI eh KARIMI ..!!

In his latest interview today Queiroz backed off from his previous suggestion about Karimi being helpful on the bench.
He was asked if Karimi will sit on bench as player /coach , he said both Karimi & Hasanzadeh are injured and won't sit on bench . But question was not as Hasanzaheh will sit on bench. Nice spin.
Whatever reason made him previously to suggest Karimi on bench no longer there.

                        latest statement

                        Previous statement

Thos two statements are not contradictory...and in fact ,very logical.
1- Karimi can even help from the bench..means,even if he is not playing and is a reserve player.
2-Karimi will not be on the bench because he is injured...means, he should not take the place of an uninjured player, and more over, CQ does not want to Romantesize/or listen to media advice , his coahing efforts,,and stick to reality

                            ^
within the context it was said:
When CQ was questioned earlier why keeping unfit & injured player who does not play for his club in his roster, he suggested even as it is on bench he is helpful.

If that is the case ( and not part of his old feud with Jose ) and he is helpful on the bench why not have him to help against Uzbek.

As said before, when he is fit, he is very useful as player but unfit, injured Karimi is a distraction .

                            Comment

I attribute the loss against Uzbekistan to the fact that Ali Karimi was NOT sitting on the bench but watching the match from the stands !!!!

If we take some parallel to this event , one needs not to go too far in time. In the London Olympics squad for Great Britain football team, there was a lot of media and peer pressure to include David Beckham (who was BTW fully fit ) in the team as a result of his immense popularity , experience , leadership , influence and skill. The coach , Stuart Pearce , rejected all those claims and instead opted for other player whom he deemed much more useful for him than Beckham, although they were not in the same stature and footing of the Great ex-Man Utd and Real Madrid player.

Instead of claiming knowledge, maybe these aghayoon should gain knowledge by reading and opening their minds rather than attempting to pull fast ones on us.

And another chapter ofAli Karimi's career with Perspolis has folded, with another one beginning.

It was not a secret that Karimi and Jose did not see eye to eye. In fact , it is not even a secret that Rouyanian did not really value Karimi much within Perspolis organization. He found Karimi to be a disruptive element and a bit of anti-system, hence the Club CEO fully supported Jose , in spite of his public statements. However , the turn of the events swung very rapidly towards Ali Karimi.

It is still not exactly clear what happened behind close doors between the trio, Rouyanian, Karimi and Jose. The Portuguese has swore that he will not allow Karimi back in the team , as long as he is Perpolis coiach. Yet, he broke his own words despite the backing of the Club and the CEO being on his side. Details are sketchy on how Karimi was pardoned, however , one thing that was sure was the fact that Jose and Rouyanian realized the popularity of Ali Karimi on the stands amongst the Pesrpolsi Supporters. That in itself made them nervous and weary. This was perhaps the catalyst in convincing Jose to eat his words and in desperation of his own position, permitted the return Karimi back to the team without strong influence from the big boss.

It is also possible that the continuous failure of the team , has made Rouyanian think twice about his absolute support for the Portuguese coach and had to swing towards Karimi. In any case , Ali Karimi is back , and Manuel Jose is out, and the sage continues.

The situation will remain interesting with Yaha Golmohammady as a coach. Karimi is not very fond of having his old teammates as his boss.
