I think our players for the most part still play very emotionally and don't quite listen to the coaches. This whoile emotional thing at times can be a savior but in most parts (long run isn't a good thing).
Iran's football still relys a lot on player's improvising, so coach can kill himself outside the field, but players not following head coache's tactic.

The whole philospehy seems to be going to not loose rather than going to win.
"When I see the good in you, you get motivated, feel good about yourself and that creates synergy. It creates an environment where everybody can work better together. I think in the Iranian culture it becomes very ordinary to always see the bad in each other."
Afshin Ghotbi ( Former TM Head Coach)

Nasser Hejazi was the Takhti of our football.

That's hurting our football and Team melli.

but I also believe it's the quality of opposition and the coach.
for example last season Sepahan played SS in azadi, after scoring a goal, we attacked even more, same as the game against Alittihad in Saudi arabia.
But in this game after Scoring Sepahan in the 2nd half was locked into it's defensive shell and only used aghili and bengar's long balls to aim emad reza which was never going to cause trouble for ss.
