Kruvtchi-Saipa, as well as watching how some other clubs have being doing in Asia recently and improving, adds to my worries...The format of the ACL, allowing for only one team advancing simply means these three need to play to win every game and none have that ability at the moment, and to be honest, I don't think much will change in the next 3-4 months or so.
When you look carefully, out of Sepahan, Pas and Saipa who have made it through the first round so far since the ACL initiated less than 10 years ago, Pas was in a very easy group with one of its best teams of the recent years, still failed to make it past 8; Sepahan fully deserved to make it to the final after 3 tries in a row but that Sepahan team is not around anymore, not in spirit, not physically...Saipa only made it out due to being grouped in the easiest group of them and most likely will fail to progress,,, and this coming year we will go into ACL with a medicore Perspolis, far from top form Sepahan, and an below average esteghlal team,,,, Saipa's game in the return leg could be the last quarterfinal we'll watch in a while, but I truly hope I am wrong and maybe I am judging too early, giving too much credit to Asian club football and not enough to our own clubs
unfortunately I've been having bad dreams about this as well. But when I look at, you see a very strong Perspolis-Esteghlal-Sepahan line-up which makes you think why wouldn't they be sucessful at ACL level.

To be honest, Perspolis with Karimi can do wonders in the coming ACL, Im being unbiased here. Esteghlal also has a great strong squad with an experienced coach at Asian level. They've been somewhat unlucky in some league games but after the 6-0 win over Es Ahvaz they looking pretty good IMO.
Same goes with Sepahan, having a strong line-up and arguably the best defense of the league But a normal coach IMO, however the players' having immense experience at ACL so That's a good positive.

If hopefully we get the 4 Spots, we'll have Saba too which has a good experience coach in F.Karimi and a strong squad consisting of young talented players such as Kolahkaj, Sheys, Rezaei and recently Feshangshi. They're looking good.

But first of all let's make sure we get our deserved spots in ACL.

    GRACIAS PEP

^^^yet we see these three teams lack inconsistency and poor judgment in many different areas of the game that makes me wonder if and how we will be punished against somewhat more professional clubs in a tournament where you have absolutely no room to make a mistake, almost no room to lose a game and hope you can easily bounce back and advance...Again, I only thank God that ACL doesn't start for another 3-4 months so that the trio have enough time to get their act together, for their managers to realize what they have to face once ACL starts with the traffic of games being played and for the big names such as emad reza, Karimi, Jabbari and the rest to realize that they carry the weight of their teams on their shoulders and they need to perform...names alone won't win games at Asia, not even in our own league anymore.
