The topic here on this thread is " TM selection vs NK ".....
And I shall immagin if I was the head coach of TM & did the selection without any limitations .I would have chosen the following line up, only for the sake of NK.

    ...............................RAHMATI............ .....................
    .................................................. .........................
    .......KIA.......HOSSANI............AGHILI......NO SRATI......
    .................................................. .........................
    .....................SHOJAEE..........NEKOUNAM.... .............
    .................................................. .........................
    .........KAZEMIAN..........KARIMI..............MAD ANCHI.....
    .................................................. .........................
    ..............................HASHEMIAN........... ..................

I guess we all can remove karimi's name from our lists from now on!

And this is a classic case of "clash of egos". both egotistical players in this theater. both playing a tug-of-war, pushing and pulling and in the end neither loses except our football fans !

both had enough chances to make it a decent campaign bereft of egos and based on true priorities; TM's fortune. and both came out losers in my eyes !
daei for pushing it with his baseless comments and double standards in selection criteria and now, karimi for his bacheh-naneh baazi and quiting on US, Iranians, not only daei.

one thing is there that at least daei finally gave up on his massive ego trip and called karimi, which deserves credit ( he certainly took his time, though) . but karimi, at the moment , for ME, karimi is the biggest loser for his childish response.

buddy, if you want to make a point and have grudges against daei, the BEST way to get ur point across and make urself the winner is to PLAY WELL AT TM to teach him a lesson. not to behave like an immature bacheh-naneh va ghahr koni beri gooshehye khooneh kez koni !!!!!!

goes back to what I used to say: the priority shd be the TEAM, not individuals and their likes/dislikes. both these two came out the loser in my eyes.

So in the end there was never proof for personal feelings of Daei towards Karimi, but just the other way round.

Daei didn't invite Karimi when he was in bad form and not playing, immediately invited him back when he found a new club and played there and Karimi was the one who rejected.

Not true. Daei invited him separtely after push from IFF and Media, scoring 3 goals in one game. However, it was obvious in the darby that Karimi is still a valuable player. But he was not in the first list.

One big nagative point for Daei that hurt the guy feeling.

really, truthfully, do you believe a word of what you just said ?
            TRUTHFULLY ?

            -------------

anyway. now the deed is done. both parties are at fault.
I just hope the likes of shojaei and jabbari can take care of some of karimi's advantages. although in goal scoring they're not as prolific. so we need a good striker as well.

which means we have to rely on TWO players to do the job of one ali karimi !!

He didn't invite him seperately, he always said PP players would be invited after the PP game on Wednesday, and 3, including Karimi, were. That happened before already and wasn't a post-nomination.

Yes, truthfully. I wouldn't have even invited Karimi for Korea DPR, but waited if he keeps his form until UAE.

In spring there were IFF problems and Daei generally did with a younger squad, so no problem there. For KSA match Karimi was without a club and without a competitive game for months. His form was very doubtful and Daei said from the start that he'll consider Karimi again as soon as he can observe him in action again, and that is exactly what happened.

Everything else was a product of people's fantasy, who did not want to accept there is no sense in inviting an out-of-form player for a position with plenty of excellent in-form alternatives.

Then, he could have waited another day to announce his list all together. You know, I know an every body know that there is ill-intention in there. Read the first invitation where it says Hashemian is also invited but he is injured.... you know where I am going with that, right?

You know, biasness is not only in Anti-Daei group, it can happen in pro-Daei group too.

Karimi situation was not handeled the best way possible.

The good news is, he didn't say goodbye for ever, he left the room for mediators if Daei get off from devil's donkey.

                  here's another bomb :

Daei has now decided to invite BAGHERI to TM .

what do you all make of that?

ando , apparently is injured at fulham and has declined to come for the game

                  now, I'm even more excited.
a FIT bagheri next to nekounam ? with kia on the right ? ( I'd add hajsafi on the left too ) who's going to beat that midfield ?
poor koreans ! it's going to be a shooting gallery . hahahahahahaha

I am totally against reinviting Bagheri. It can't be that simply because one midfielder is missing we suddenly need to reactivate someone who already was past his prime in 2001 and didn't play for TM since then.

I also doubt this piece of news is true, but I also doubted it about Karimi, so who knows.

Well as sad as it is that TM won't have Karimi anymore, at least now there is one less side issues for the TM.
Hope Mr. Daie now with the help of RuteMuller identified the shortcomings of the TM and focus only on the North Korea game. Mr. Daie has a lot of enemies and any simple slip up in the TM will be blown out of proporations. I am worried, hope I am wrong.
"When I see the good in you, you get motivated, feel good about yourself and that creates synergy. It creates an environment where everybody can work better together. I think in the Iranian culture it becomes very ordinary to always see the bad in each other."

Nasser Hejazi was the Takhti of our football.

I didn't think Daie needed to see what PP players do against Abumoslem to figure out who he wants to invite, so that whole thing seemed a little fishy..

What makes it worse is that He invited Nouri and Zareh, two of the worst PP players in that game ... (they were both horrible in that game)

It is simply flawed logic of Alidaei & Afazeli.

1-Partial list was announced and to be completed after only one remaining game.
2- reason for such weird decision was so they observe Perspolis players in their game against AboMoslem.
3- Serious training officially to start following days.

There was no need to release of partial list. Announcement could have been delayed for 2 days so there was no need for follow up list.

It was flawed to state they will select perspolis players after Abomoslem game. What happened if none of prospect played well?. Zare and Nouri were among worse Perspolis players but still were invited .
In shiri case. days before the game it was known Nouri will play LB and Shiri will move to CD and Alidaei had already Montazeri in mind as a CD /DM back up.
There were no good reason for such two stage process unless one bring up Karimi issue.

This is not a first time this irrational decision making has been applied.

Although I think you are a bit harsh on Daei , but in principle I agree that the biggest loser is Ali Karimi.

I am actually quite surprised while quickly reading through the comments on Karimi's rejection , that people find it strange !!!

WOW... People wake up. This is THE REAL ALI KARIMI . He is not a fake , he is not pretending , he is not putting on a show , it is the real life Ali Karimi. When it hits him in the head , with his unpredictable moods , he walks on the pitch , walks off training , refuses to talk to anyone , puts his Ipod and ignore anyone or anybody in front of or around him , kicks at objects and sometimes just disappears.

The man is just like that.

Time for Team Melli to move on, Frankly we need such attitude as much as we need a bullit in the head.

Some are making a big deal out of nothing. Daei didn't postpone the selection of PP players, rather he already announced the partial list earlier, which seems very confusing to many. You didn't expect Daei to select the other players a day before the IPL round, so why the big fuzz about PP players - or rather about announcing the partial list a day earlier?

It is highly naive to believe Daei choses his players based on one final club performance. But it would be equally naive to expect a coach not to take the chance of observing players who he isn't 100% sure about for no benefit whatsoever.

What should be the sense of all this? The coaching staff not knowing how to do the job? A big conspiracy for no benefit and with no logic behind it? Some discussions and comments are really so ridiculous that I start doubting the sense of this whole Forum. As if there was any disadvantage out of announcing a partial list a day earlier.
