I am sorry to burst the bubbles, but beza'at has never been and will never be "Potential" .

It is an Arabic word and translated directly it means "Goods" and when used literally or in proverbs it means what I actually have or carry in my asset.

In Farsi, it means the same thing or slightly different but it does not mean potential " پتانسيل "

In retrospect while I was looking at this subject , I could see the misunderstanding and how we all misinterpreted the term "Ein beza'at maast" or at least thought differently on what it really means.

Anyway , to my undersdtanding and the way I wanted to express the term , it menas "This is the good that we posses" NOT " This is our true potential".

      hehe.
this is exactly what I usually say about unnecessary persistence on a point beyond reality.

we're not scoring points off each other here. we're trying to discuss different issues rationally. so insisting on one side of an issue "at any cost", even if it defies reality, isnt very becoming of us.

becoz I have my own "eyes" as well.
I wont hang on to ppl's words that contradict with what I see.
giving carte-blanche isnt right in my book. I have my own faculties to help make decisions as well. And I didnt see such a terrible display that didnt warrant a game for a post where the regular player rakes up such negative marks each & every game.

but then again, there is the matter of "lajbaazi" .....

          ^^
well, many people have their own eyes and see things differently.
the coaches and many other people saw that the alternatives did not perform well in many occasions (in WAFF, in the league, and in TM practice sessions)

now which eyes I should trust....?

I dont know what Beza'at means in Arabic but when the word is used in Fasi conversation, it means "DARAYI" i.e what we posses. Meaning of the word potential is very close but not exactly synonimous with Beza'at.

well, when u ask a "RATIONAL" question like that, wat kind of "RATIONAL" answer do u expect??
when u urself seem to ask any kind of unreal question and give any example to prove a point "at any cost", u shouldnt be complaining

if in lala land, there is a possibility rahmati will be played as a forward, then in lala land, there is also a possibility that rahmati can play as good as any other forward in our TM.

In Arabic "Beza'at" means "Daraei" , what you actually have or posses.

What we posses is quite different than we can achive or gains henc the word potential.

Our potential can be much more than what we posses. (or the other way round)

I distinctly remember when flying into Shiraz or Mehrabad , and complaining about lack of some services or poor quality , the Iranian colleagues usually said "Ein beza'at mast dighe"

                    I'm just watching sepahan's game and hajsafi's a live-wire ... again.

he is maturing rapidly and I'm really glad to see that.
in fact watching sepahan's line up, I see many young prospects who could easily find their way to TM: jamshidian, asghari, paapi, hajsafi, ... ( along with others like aghili, akbari, bengar, mohamadi, ... )

it's just great to know some clubs are investing in our youth.

the reason I said this was my surprise not to see hajsafi given time at TM .

i know peyman jan wat u were trying to say by that example, but comparing the switching of a midfielder to a defender position (which is done by many teams and coachs) is not comparable to switching a GK position to the striker position. the latter is absolutely "unreal" like u put urself, hence, the answer to such a question will also be "unreal", again, like u said urself!

rahmati has as much of a chance to be played a forward by a coach as he has of being at the same level as our other forwards if he is played as a forward. so the answer is as ridiculous as the question is!
