Ferdoosi Poor has been the same all along, it is not like all of a sudden, he changed 180 degrees. Not to suggest anything, but kind of strange to see all of a sudden the sensitivity toward Adel Ferdoosipoor. Could it be at this time his behavior might target the current TM coaching staff and this is what worries some? Not accusing, I am just trying to find an answer to the question of "how all of a sudden an immense interest to the so called "unprofessional" behavior of the Adel?

To put it shortly I am willing (and most Iranian viewers) are willing to put up with the "barnameye zard" type segments as long as he has the really interesting exposes such as the episode where Farahani absolutely embarrassed the IFF because of the hiring coach issue, or the episode 8 years ago where Kia fought back against all the accusations thrown at him after Asian Cup 2000.

But then again , who decides when and where to post an article ??? Is it a time and a place convenient to you or the poster himself?.....Maybe next time I need to post , I should ask your permission and approval ....how about that ???Last edited by maij; 11-16-2008, 04:42 AM.

Easy on Sarcasem dadash please.
Let me explain why I said the original post about how all of a sudden interest about Ferdoosipoor.
I tried to search for the old threads but it seems older threads aren't in the archive.
During the GN era, maybe only less than 10 members (no kidding) on the PFDC asked for calmer heads, less negative attitude. Majority pf younger kids under the leadership of great demagog (Ala) created such a negative atmosphere around TM.
Ala had more than 20 threads about GN's job approval and all of them his approval rate was under 10% (in part due to the lies and misinformation spread by Al on PFDC and media in general). How many threads on Feredoosipoor? Where were you guys then? I don't bother to ask Agha Majid, I know he has canned answers. But I consider Regina a fair person and I honestly ask you.
At that time, Adel and Mirzaie and more than 90% of Iranian media butchered TM and GN. One day GN took too many people to UAE, one day he negotiated with Khatibi in the TM camp. Mayeli Kohan on national TV literally blamed GN for inapporpriate behavior (and nothing happened)(see footnote below)
.GN's poor public relationship and behavior made things worst. From all of that I don't recall many threads about him.
After the elimination of Iran, Adel rediculed GN in the show he had about post mortum of Iran's elimination in AFC. While Zolfaghar Nasab and other guest (maybe it was Korbekandi, I don't recall), asked fair questions, Adel was doing what he is best at "Journalisem" the tabloid way. Where were you guys then.
This is not to defend GN's performance in the TM, but IMO, it seems, as soon as media target the person (and Adel for whatever reason doesn't want or dare to create 10% of the shenanigan he did against GN), we like or support, then all of a sudden we see the cries of responsible journalisem, etc. etc.
Footnote: Mayeli accused GN on the national TV (Navad) and realized his information was wrong during the Tv program, but nothing happened to him. His mere comment about Daie "walking on the pitch during the WC" almost sent him to jail (Ewin). Talk about influence and weight of someone in IRI."When I see the good in you, you get motivated, feel good about yourself and that creates synergy. It creates an environment where everybody can work better together. I think in the Iranian culture it becomes very ordinary to always see the bad in each other."

as long as I can remember, ferdowsipoor has been behaving like an immature evil kid who likes to start fights and controversy .
somehow during branko, his ire was more directed at daei than the coach. but WC06 done, he trained his guns on the coach once again. be it GN or Daei.
But ali is right. while GN was getting thrashed, sometimes quite justifiably so, hardly anyone rose to argue many of those invalid and unnecessary comments by ppl. very small number of ppl did . ( much of GN's undoing was due to his poor language/speech and behavior, rather than thoughts and ideas )
but with daei, we see a far more concerted effort.
why?
becoz daei, the player, is a legend?
fine.
but GN wasnt such a bad player either. and both deserve that much backing & support as TM head coach.... as much as they deserve criticism for their wrong doings and mistakes.

Ali Jan , Peyman Jan.
What is the point of mentioning why people did not criticize Ferdowsipour before (while they in fact did ) , or why only X number did not Y numbers ????
Ali Jan , you think that my criticism of him started after he seemed to be critical of Daei (although as Peyman said this started during the World Cup or even before) ....sorry , you have the wrong impression. I have met and talked to Ferdowsipour at length in China in 2004. I am sorry to say that he was not that impressive and I felt that he has a chip on his shoulder then.
I met him several times later , the last time we did not discuss anything about football and eventually ended up giving him a ride to his hotel.
I am not in the business of exposing people just because I don't like them , but on the other hand I do not hesitate to criticize their deeds and in this case , the man deserves criticism.
But even if we assume that some people started to dislike him because of Daei ( although I personally think Daei is more than capable to deal with Ferdowipour and outsmart him when it comes to debate) , people have different respects and passion for different players and coaches.
If we take a chapter for Ali Agha's own belief when he mentioned that Ali Karimi deserves a special treatment because of his status in Iran's football , then if that is the case , Ali Daei has even more claim to such 'special' respect.
Last but not least , Peyman Jan , do you seriously believe that Ghalenoei was anywhere near Daei in his playing days , or achieved anything like what Daei achieved or even in the popularity department????Last edited by maij; 11-18-2008, 11:40 AM.

No, he didnt, majid jan.
and I did say that in the last para in my previous post.
the point was not comparing the achievements of the two players, but explaining that both were/are TM coaches and deserve as much backing & support for their good deeds, as much as they deserve criticism for their misdeed and failures.

OK...Point taken. Thanks.
And needless to say , that I agree that coach of team Melli needs support , regardless to his background.

I saw that program live , but my memory is not that great..
What was the point that Mayeli Kohan was wrong about?
Can you tell me brief details of how Maeli Kohan comment nearly sent him to Evin ? I can not recall such thrilling event .

Can you tell me brief details of how Maeli Kohan comment nearly sent him to Evin ? I can not recall such thrilling event .
Maylei didn't almost go to Evin because of GN. He went almost to Ewin, due to Daie's lawsuit (due to his Maylei's comment during the WC games, when Maylei allegedly criticized Daie very much during the Iran Mexico game. I beleive Mayeli said something like "look at Daie how he walks in the field" Actually, three weeks ago, the paper for his arrest came and it was in the papers. Mayeli supposedly has some connection with Ahmadi Nezhad and claimed he will go to Jail and stay in jail until the so called "president" correct the unjustice. According to Mayeli in papers, he was insisting to go to Jail in Ewin, but Neeroye Entezami officer didn't want to take him to Jail.
I am not sure which one you are refering to, so let me explain. The Mayeli comments wasn't after the AFC elimination of Iran, he wasn't in that program. The program I am referring to was when Iran came to UAE and played Hamburg and Stutgart (the game GN was red carded). In that program, in front of the whole nation, Haji Mayeli claimed GN didn't take certain players but took with himself whole bunch of friends instead. GN mentioned the list, the number of people who went to UAE on that trip and were paid for by IFF and none of that was true (right on live TV). Then Mayeli said, GN negotiated with Khatibi while Khatibi (at that time he was in UAE) was in the TM camp. GN refuted that as well (Marfavi was the head coach of the SS, but GN still was technical manger or something like that in SS). I remember all of these because at that time people like Ala and TM_FAN, Xorestar and many many others opened 20 threads about all of these. People openly swear at GN, rediculed Khatibi and Enayati .
Payman was among the one of the fews despite his reservations about GN, maintained a fair (IMO) approach. He had his criticisems, yet never negative. Despite comments by _Amin, Kaz, I and few others, with tacit approval of certain people here, PFDC members swear at GN (It is not about GN, it is about the hormat of TM coach). Ala engineered a picture of Enayati which essentially portrayed him as a monkey.
Fake interview by Hashemian was magnified on the first pages of PFDC
During all that, I didn't hear a peep from many. After AFC elimination, people went and post personal insults to my family, wife and everything on the internet. Poor _BehzadB wasn't even an ardent supporter of GN (and honestly I wasn't either, I just didn't magnify everything out of proportion).
None of these created any worries about TM by many poeple (I don't mean you or Regina) who all of a sudden now are so sensetive and complain about sport newspapers. All of that at the end it was TM that lost a chance in AFC (in part due to all these side shows).
Anyhow, I hope now you see why I am a bit skeptical about this issue was raised somewhat sujectively.
Both of Haji Maylei's comments"When I see the good in you, you get motivated, feel good about yourself and that creates synergy. It creates an environment where everybody can work better together. I think in the Iranian culture it becomes very ordinary to always see the bad in each other."

This Evin episode had nothing to do with Daei and Mayeli Kohan. It was a dispute between MK and the owners of Esteghlal Ahvaz club (Shafiezadeh brothers , If I got the name right!)

I remember this episode quite well and I beleive I posted about it here in PFDC.
There was a lot of heated exchanges and I recall that Ghalenoei was much more the offender. His sarcasm and direct insult of Mayeli - Kohan was pretty awesome. GN was way out of line in this one and my personal dislike for MK apart , I think GN was more the guilty party.
I don't know why MK's words and actions on Navad that evening makes you think that he should penalized or go to prison , he simply expressed his opinion. If there was some wrong information he had like why GN took 40 people to Dubai (which in fact he or IFF did) then it was corrected by GN. What else should be done?
You have people over here that have no clue of what is happening in Iran ,yet they preach , judge and pass sentences as if they are next door. What should be done about them, I wonder?

No disrespect to you and the other Gentlemen on the subject matter , but when you say that your comments were fair , you are judging yourself on your own comment. I truly believe that others should judge whether it was fair or not...
That apart , I see a tendency of yours to have issue with anyone that you do not agree with to the extent that you indulge in personal challenges. Take the poll on Nikbakht as an example of what i am saying.
First of all you accused Ali Jan ESSI of bias. Which was totally unjustifed. I have known Ali for years and consider him a good friend as well , but that apart , he is anything but biased.
Then on the same thread , you said "I would really like to get the name of the people who voted for that option and next time they made a mistake, I punish them the same way." !!!!!
Don't you believe in freedom of speech and thought ? why take a stance with people who do not follow your party line?
Once again , different people have different views , no need to take issues with them. By all means we can discuss and prove the other party wrong with providing FACTS , not opinions.

Merci Agha Majid, it seems we are talking past each other brother. Either your English isn't very good or you pretend you don't read my posts well. I said the poll is biased " I DIDNOT SAY ESSY IS BIASED". You are adding your misinterpretation and accuse me of something.
Please read what I wrote not what your interpretation of my post. "I said the poll is biased". Why did I say poll is biased? Because not a single option was available that Nikbakht is not guilty. There were 5 options and not a single one was Nikbakht doesn't deserve any punishment? If you don't see the bias in that poll, I am sorry I can't help you.
One can conduct a biased poll without realizing it himself. I am not in the Essi' mind or heart to know. But I stand by my opinion "Nikbakht poll is biased" . It is a very known fact of life in the west, that based on the how the question is posed, one can influence the outcome of the response. I am not accusing anyone of anything since I don't' know, but I still stand by my words "THAT POLL (THE WAY THE OPTIONS WERE SELECTED WAS BIASED)". BTW, I am biased, you are biased and so is everyone else. The question is when I setup the poll about the Daie's performance evaluation before the KSA game(being aware of my own bias), made sure (double checked) options aren't posed certain way to influence the outcome to best of my abilities.
As for my comment about those people who voted for Nikbakht to be banned for life from TM, I still stand by my earlier comments:
"I would really like to get the name of the people who voted for that option and next time they made a mistake, I punish them the same way." !!!!!
There are numerous quote in Farsi "Yek soozan be khoodet bezan, yek Jawaldooz be hamsayeh". The people who asked for Nikbakht to be banned for life from TM, I would like to see how they like to be treated the same way (very harsh and don't be given a chance to make up for their mistakes).
I find it amazing you give me speeches about freedom of choice. I may have many shortcomings, but I am the one who despite my criticisms toward certain issue, try hard to see positive events as well. (See my thread about "recent positive events... in F+". I am one of the mildest critics of Daie and at times it feels, you can't even tolerate that. Then you give me a lecture about freedom of speech.
At the end, I come here to spend a few minutes away from my high pressure life. Tired of getting lectured at while I sat there and wrote all that about the events during the GN era and you come here and lecture me about "freedom of speech". Please brother, shoma roo be khayr va ma roo be salamat. I really tried to have a dialouge with you, but for some reason we can't communicate. I truly don't intend to preach anyone , I am merely expressing my opinions versus yours indulging in a dialog . You have expressed yourself very well in countless issues and across this website forums without anyone referencing or labeling as preaching ( preaching , is not a bad thing after all )
I understand very well that you come over here to enjoy yourself from the hectic life. I am sorry you don't with my dialog.
No worries Ali jan.... I still have Peyman to scuffle with ( No offense , Doc) when I feel in the mood.

I am ashamed to say, I also have regretably been avoiding you for similar reasons !!
You are nice, educated man, with so much to share...which I am missing since starting avoiding you !!!
I have always liked people who listen to " Wish you were here " !!!
The problem with you, is that, you are only humble, when you are reminded !!,
You have a great command of English language, and perhaps very good at what you are doing at your job, and have learned to live your life without negatives of Iranian culture !!,..........
But, you are just like " Gaave Noh man Shir " ( No insult intended )....
As there was a Cow,that used to give 5 times more milk than other cows !, but, unforunately, after each time giveing milk, this cow used to kick the bucket !, and throw away the milk !!!hence less worthy than other cows !!
No mater how nice, educated or wise you may be !, you need to take yourself less seriously....and not to try to dominate with your point of view.
We have heard you about, your opinion of supporting the head coach...we have heard about your opinion of not bashing, or not talking without haveing the knowledge ,etc,etc........and you may be right !, but do not keep repeating yourself...we heard you !..............
If there was any valid point in your comments, it has lost validity because of too much testosterone !.........
I know you can be humble, ...try to be that more often !!...I miss you !!!!!
