I think it is a good idea to let the more mature and insightful members to choose the candidates. a far cry from the "happilihappow" of the general forum selection of candidates.

But the criteria shd not be the "amount of activity" of the member. It ought to be more QUALITATIVE than QUANTITATIVE in fact.

There are some members who arent as active as some others ( who may post 40 posts a day ), but end up saying far more with those few lines or posts than a whole week's worth of the other chap's.

Actually I have a proposal here: The + members could place their nomination here (perhaps on a dedicated thread, and we use that thread for deliberation of MOM. Of course in the
absence of any nomination the 3 designated members can come up with their nominee (like
this time). One provision would be, you can only speak in favor of someone but not
against.

So for instance if Paymon says I want to nominate X, I can only either second it or give
another recommandation. But I can't say no Not X, --not for ANY reason. Since the traffic
on the + forum is relatively light this should work.

and the avoidance of negative comments removes any threat of controversy also.

We are just commiunicating.....
I love things the way they are, and I know under-lahaf,and other mods, trying thier best for a fairer and better process.....
So, think only as friendly chats, what we are saying here...

The point is, these three forums ( F+,Football,& General )..have different atmospher......
For example, General forums,is very diverse, and facinating threads and issues come up......as an example our " Webmaster ",Kamran always initiates fasinating threads,very humaniterian and profound,etc...so I would vote for him in the general forum.....but, his opinion of football make , stinck , !!!! , ( just for example ), or he may not be good in F+ forum !...........
there are some members who post comments only in one forum !!, ( such as KC-McElroy,in general forum ),etc....
So, each forum, shows the different part of us, and that is why, I think, we should consider three different angle to choose candidates....
But, if we do not, !!, that is fine too !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

. I also encourage you or any F+ members to suggest potential candidates for the MOM , if they feel, there are certain members, who deserve it. F+ members you can simply open a thread and nominate him/her ( I am sure there will be no issue to add the proposed member to the MOM candidacy list that F+ will vote on.[*]I think PFDC's main focus is Iranian football, although General forum is very active, IMO, the MOM is someone who is the most active in the football related issues/forums.[/LIST]

I totay agree with F+ membes propose someone as MOM candidate as well, as I originally posted eariler. I also totally agree with Payman, that it shouldn't be purely based on activity.
Bahram Jaan, please see my post earlier, I think since this site is Persian Football, main measure should be football and football related issues. So humanitraian posts in General while great, to me aren't as relevant to the PFDC MOM (but that is my opinion).

i leave the decision process on how to approach and pick the F+ candidates for the MOM nominations to the F+ committee. they are more than welcome to change or alter the process. what i personally require is that we have the poll running by the 5th of the month and by the 10th have the final candidate. just dont make it to hard and do as you please. F+ memebers and the VIPs are the backbone of this site and clearly they care about the site and its members so MOM Committee feel free, just left me know if anything changes.

by the way, Agha kasra will continue to be in charge of the final poll and the process until he gets too tired and gives up!

I suggest to discuss Branko when things get slow in PFDC and temporarily admit Ala to the F+ when we discuss Branko and WC2006.!!!!

One last attempt to explain in my mind what a MOM is. I don't mean to be molla loghati, but not the best, but at least he/she is mainly concerned, follows footballing events in Iran. He/she is mature, makes logical comments or posts, engage in a civilized manner in a dialogue, doesn't distort events and news, etc. etc.
