    Player Ratings (Iran Vs UAE)

1- Rahmati (9/10): Howmany one on ones a keeper can save in Asian level in one game? with Rahmati in your goal you can never know.
2- Ghorbani (6/10): very bad mistakes when playing with his feet, but good in the air.
3- Kaebi (6/10): adequate in defense but not good at all on offense
4- Zare(5/10): He was really bad, Im just happy madanchi replaced him so we could revive our left side, he makes lots of mistakes which many of them prove lethal and worse thing about him is that when he starts making mistakes he gets nervous and become too aggressive he was lucky he didnt get sent off.
5- Kia(4/10) his days in TM are over.
6- GholamNejad (6/10): not a bad performance from a subbed in player when we were behind.
7- Hosseini (7/10): apart from the goal where he was partially in fault he proved we can count on him.
8-Shojaei (6/10): I wish he entered the game as a sub in the second half, playing a 90min match for Osasuna 2 days ago and a cross continental trip really influenced his performance
9- Nekounam (5/10): I just wish he gets back to his old form.
10- Bagheri (6/10): I was going to give him a 4 for this match but his vital goal was really important, aside from that PP's Bagheri doesnt give this much bad passes and doesnt make so much mistakes in the middle.
11- Hashemian (4/10): just like Kia, his days are over in TM
12- Madanchi (7/10): A very good sub, he turned the tables over by reviving our left side, his speed and agility combined with his shooting ability changed the whole game.
13- Seyyed Salehi (6/10): a good sub, improved our offense line with his constant movements, but he should expose himself much better.
14- Gholam Reza Rezaei (7/10): better than his previous games, I wish he would just score the sitter in the last minute so I could give him a 9!

1- Rahmati 10/10 He was not at fault on the goal we took. He had 5 saves. We owe
    him the one point.

2- Ghorbani 4/10 We were lucky we played against UAE, does he understand Zone
    coverage?

3- Kaebi 6/10 He did what he had to do, but still not as productive in counters.

4- Zare 4/10 Several of his saves were done by Nekou, and he went into panic bottom,
and had a few bad kicks from the back right to the middle of the field were 3 UAE
attackers were present. I am not impressed with his left side defense.

5- Kia 2/10 Hopefully he will announce his retirement from TM soon. He was man-handled
and thrown around the field by at least 2 UAE players and very in-effective. Did not
contribute to defense nor middle nor offence. Oh my, what happened to our Mehdi?
    AGE!

6- GholamNejad 6.5/10 I think he replaced Kia too late, or perhaps Kia should have not
started. When he came in the result was tangible, still we need help on the right side for
    defense and

7- Hosseini 5/10 Again we were lucky Antar sorry Mantar can not take accurate shots,
he allowed several shots and there was a deflection of him that Rahmati brilliantly
    saved on the free kick.

8-Shojaei 7/10 Our players can not play 90 minutes in 4 days plain and simple. His
goal was just superb and for that he deserves recognition. He has been very productive
    for TM.

9- Nekounam 5/10 See my note on Shojaei. Javad had some decent saves in the back,
but frankly I thought him and Bagheri overlapped.

10- Bagheri 5/10 Sorry, but we should allow only 1 over the hill player. I have been
against having too many of these older guys particularly as starters and he simply missed
too many chances up front and was not helpful in the back.

11- Hashemian 3/10 Vahid has been slow and very ineffective. UAE defence read him
like an old novel and becuse of his lack of speed he could not contribute much.

12- Madanchi 6/10 If he wants to get to next level, he has to lift his head up and look for
open player. That was a good sub.

13- Seyyed Salehi 7.5 He made a difference the minute he walked in. Wish he was
    subed in sooner.

14- Gholam Reza Rezaei 8 The little we generated in offense in first half was his doing. And I think that was a penalty.

    ================================================== ============
    Coaching: 4

I think Ali Daei has to lead the team not based on what media or fans tell him but based
on what is most sensible for TM. If he let's media run TM, soon he will have to invite
    Azizi ......

I respect Ali Karimi for saying he does not want to play for TM because he simply does
not have the stamina to play both the league and TM. Most of our legioners played on
Sunday and it showed. Ali Daei made the wrong choice by having them all start, which
made for a a very slow and in-effective over all game. We were lucky we got a draw out
of this, as UAE had 4-5 excellent changes that were brilliantly saved by Rahmati.

The subs were the only bright spot, but should he get credit for putting us in a disadavantage by the player selection only to remedy it with subs?

The announcer kept saying Bagheri but I thought it was Shojaee heading in
and Baghering crossing, you are saying it was the reverse?

            Rahmati 10 - brilliant
Kaebi 5 - active on the right but poor crossing and a few mistakes in defense
Hosseini 6 - solid rock in defense
Ghorbani 2 - worst player, too many fouls and sleeping when Jumaa scored
Zare 4 - as usual, unconvincing but not the worst
Nekounam 4 - poor, but left alone in build-up and defense
Bagheri 5 - also poor, but one grade up due to his goal
Mahdavikia 3 - nothing from him, not even setpieces
Shojaei 6 - very active, often unsuccessful but a player making a difference
Rezaei 5 - tried much, little worked, must score in injury time
Hashemian 3 - disappointing, horrible backpass handed UAE the goal
Gholamnejad 6 - upfront not worse than Kia, in defense much better

Madanchi and Salehi looked good, but came to late for a serious rating.

Yepp, you need a bigger TV

..and I disagree Hosseini is to blame for the goal. He marked Mattar, Ghorbani slept and let Jumaa go.

Actually, I think 100% blame is on Hashemian with a ridiculously over-weighted back-pass which caught everyone off guard. UAE had absolutely stellar passing in our third of the field and the goal was just one example of how precise it was really was.

By the way, Ismael Mattar was just unbelievable - this guy dominated Karim, Javad and our whole defense all by himself.
We thank and support Mr.Kamran Delan for many years of dedication and service to Iranian Football Community.

Yes, huge blame on Hash for the goal, but still there were like 5 seconds between his pass and the goal and plenty players were around, so he cannot solely be blamed. At least he ran back and tried to make up. I think second most blame after Hash goes to Ghorbani who simply didn't even think of chasing Jumaa back into the box. Then a couple of other players have a slight share of blame too.

I agree Mattar is a great player. He should move abroad asap, but he's earning good money at home and so we're lucky that he stays and won't improve as much there as he would in Europe.

Masoud which effing game were you watching? the same freaking match where our players played like 11 year olds? those are generous ratings. Here is mine:

                    4- Zare 3
                    5- Kia 2
                    6- GholamNejad 3

1- Rahmati 10 (Everything you want from A goalkeeper)

2- Ghorbani 4 (He was a nightmare with his continious bad positioning and the dangerous fouls and giving away freekicks near the box)

3- Kaebi 5 (One of the better players, ran a lot and got some fouls, nothing else)

4- Zare 5 (same as kaebi, ke tried his best but the left side wasn't healed)

5- Kia 1 (did he play?)

6- GholamNejad 4 (didn't see much of him but was successful taking the team forward)

7- Hosseini 5 (He did his job, defended well on 1on1 situations and neutralized counters)

8-Shojaei 2 (what a nightmare performance by our osasuna player, his wrong passes to correct passes should be in a ratio of 3:1)

9- Nekounam 2 (same as Shojaei, even worse)

10- Bagheri 4 ( he is told and slow and did nothing during match except his goal and a 1 on 1 missed in 1st half)

11- Hashemian 1 (too old, his tm days are over unfortunately)

12- Madanchi 6 (one of the better players, gave the team speed and created dangers for uae, basically brought the team back to life!!!)

13- Seyed Salehi 5 (he was a great sub, ran a a lot and his pass should have resulted in a goal, overall a good sub and should be tested as a starter)

14- Gholam Reza Rezaei 6 (he was great as usual, in the 1st half when the team was playing that horrible, he was still average, should have gave us the winner though)

                      GRACIAS PEP

                        2 questions:

1- when will jabbari be fit to play games ?

2- when will khalili be fit to play ?

if these two come back ... and come back strong, then they can help the team tremendously in playmaking ( jabbari ) and in forwards.

coz we would really need them for the feb game against S korea in tehran.
that's a game we MUST take some points.
given how pitiful we've played so far, I'd be happy with a draw, at this point !!!

                        -------------

I just wish kazemian hadnt opened his mouth ( although I can understand some ppl "vaghe'an zooreshoon miyaad" when they see some of the options chosen for their post at TM , coz it just boggles the mind !!) so we could have a viable alternative for kia if he under-performs.

neither shojaei nor gholamnejad ( or many others daei tried like ando, sadeghi, ... ) can do what kia/kazemian can.
the only player I can see capable is kaabi.

I'm also desperately waiting for jabari's return, him and Nekounam formed a great partnership.

                          1. I think he will be back in 4 weeks

only rahmati, rezaei and madanchi get passing grades from me.

the rest all get below 4's and 5's..

i watched the game once more on abudhabi sports channel, and considering this was ghorbani's 2nd offcial TM game, compared to the exprienced hosseini, i think hosseini was quite weak as well. he was easily dribbled around many times, by ismail mattar (#10) and ismal hamadi (#15)

they were both 100% dominant in the air, but on the ground, they were really troubled by UAE players.
