as to Ghotbi, at that time he said to Iranian journalists: "what you do with humans, not even animals would do to eachother!"

once again, we lose focus.

how difficult is it to understand there are TWO parallel lines running in any defeat or victory. one runs deeper and is more fundamental like the basic nature and foundation of football in the country inclusive of its infrastructure, youth programs, culture, facilities, .... .

and the other is more superficial and immediate like given the current football and players available, what a coach may decide to do, from selection of players to arrangement on the pitch to their duties to the formation to the overall strategy of the game.

neither ghotbi nor daei or GN or branko or denizli or anyone else can be blamed for the first .... which decides IRAN'S FOOTBALL in general.
but by God they have enough control over the second to make or break A GAME.

here is where many of these coaches have failed and shd be held responsible.

That's what I say. I agree with Martin our players are just not upto the task. evident from our IPl team results in ACL.
But at least the coach can make useful subs cant they?!
honestly I think 99% of members here would have chosen a better time and a better player to sub in/out than Qotbi did today.
he showed his true colours, he's not even an assistant under Guus, just a video anaylser!
