    the what effect? lol

interesting that today, we got a direct comparison of kaebi and heydari and if we are to take recent form into consideration, heydari, at least in my eyes, has proven his worth. kaebi seems to have taken his automatic spot as a shining young teenager for granted as of late...

also, one comment on the 2nd half - notice the amount of turnovers Kuwait had due to constant pressing of their backline by the likes of khalatbari, ma'adanchi, hajsafi and company. these are guys with tons of stamina who can RUN and imo, should be given a shot against the saudi's, who once the ball gets to their attacking players, can do some real damage.

interesting that nowadays, our left side is extremely strong (both maadanchi and hajsafi were great today and i could kiss ashjari's feet for saving us from those horrid left-back woes, though not directly after a match and preferably after a shower)

if today was any indication of what Daei perceives is our first team (first half guys) vs our second team (2nd half guys), then boy oh boy does he have thinking to do...especially as our '2nd string', if it is assumed so, COMPLETELY tore it up out there.

I haven't seen that good of a half from Iran in a long long time!...(and yes, i realize it should be taken with a grain of salt given the number of kuwaiti subs).

after today's match, my personal line-up (though i hate discussing line-ups ) against the saudi's is as such:

    -----------Rahmati-------------
    Heydari----Hosseini----Aghili----Ashjari
    ----------Neko-----------Kazemi-----------
    Shojaei/Kia----------------------Ma'adanchi/Hajsafi
    ----------------Khalatbari----------------------
    -------------Rezaei/Hashemian---------------

I think that's a good balance of experience, defence, offense and creativity - all of which we need against the Saudi's.

coz some of us have watched g-nejad's games recently

by repeatedly persisting "this elephant is pink", it will NOT turn pink.

It's been a pleasure watching Khosro Heydari this season in Esteghlal, and I'd say that after Borhani and Juanario, he's been Esteghlal's most influential player.

After realizing how consistent he is for Esteghlal, and just how much stamina he has, it was obvious that he will be called up for TM soon.

Now whether he will get playing time under Daei the same way that he trusted Ashjari is another story. But whether it's under Daei or any other coach, and provided that he keeps his current form, Khosro Heydari will be the man for our right-hand side of TM for many years to come...

Come on Martin jan, Mehdi Mahdavikia was once a young, ambitious player like Heydari... It took some time and experience and the trust of Mayeli Kohan for him to become a regular. The rest, as they say, was history.

Isn't it fair for him to get the same chance that Mehdi got when he was also young?

After watching the Kuwait match and after trying very hard to be fair and put my patriotic prejudice aside, I think a draw is the most likely result on Saturday.

We shouldn't expect a win with this team we have.

I Totally Agree With Docotr doom That Khalabatri Was Great and phenomenal today in CM , I don't think We actually had any player That performed Like khalatbari did ,Since years Except Karimi and Wel all know that his time Is done And we should move on ! Since I dont Watch Manny league games from khalatbari I cant tell How is he doing over there , but from what i saw In TM , I think he has a Great View Of the field and vision , Great passing , Control of the ball .

I still Believe That our Defense Is a bit Weak And our Defense mid are just clearing the balls with fear . Deai Should do something about this Even if its To late against KSA but it could helps us In the future against other teams for our defense

Madanchi , thank god That This guy is back To TM , with Him Against KSA We would have no worry If offensive plays . Specially His Shots !

It's sad that a lot of people are pessimistic for this game. Justifiably so.

I'm hoping that the younger, inexperienced Saudis are affected by Azadi's atmosphere, and commit mistakes...or a miracle would do just fine as well.

                    1- on khalatbari;

daei is slowly learning as he goes on with the job. and I wish he'd started a year earlier so by now he'd have polished his act. not during the crucial WCQ's.

he's learning coz now, he understood khalatbari's best comes out when he's centered and not pushed to the side .... as was the norm up to now.
some ppl brought up this issue, but hardly anyone trusted them ... until the kuwait game.
anyway, I say better late than never.

one more issue we can notch up, like the other "zareh as LB" and "sadeghi" issues that EVENTUALLY things get sorted out ... albeit after much time wasted!!!

                    -----------

                    on miracles:
first we need our miracle man back in the goal.
                    is rahmati fit to play?

with the newspapers not publishing during Eyd, there is not muich news and rumors coming out of TM, so Rahmati's injury is unknown.

But something tells me its serious, because if he was fully fit, he would have said something by now.

Rahmati is TM's most important player (TM under Daei anyways)

His abscence will be a huge loss for us

Amazing that Daei is still learning, but you already know what he is about to learn.

Amazing observation Finally Daei Understood the obvious.
lets just pray that comes KSA game, Khalatbari is not pushed to the left again.
