    TM coaching option (PLUS Poll)

I like to know what ppl here in football plus think...obviously the poll in the regular football forum is not really a good representative of who should be the coach because of the huge difference in the result for each option....I don't really see that much of a difference between the options named as they all have their weaknesses and strengths and none are by far better than the other, IMO>...so let's see what football plus ppl think and see if there is a difference b/w the two polls.
of course considering the circumstances I don't think a foriegn coach is a good option, and I say that as a person who really feels the Iranian National team will be better off with a foriegn coach in the long run.
If I had to vote, I would probably go with Mayeli-Ghotbi-GN- and in that order, with not much a difference really between them that I see!

Assumeing we have a choice between a " Good " Domestic Coach , and a " Good foreign coach "......
With any Domestic coach, Iran , at the very best, will get , what she deserves !
With a forign coach we can over-Achive, as many currant countries are doing now ,and has been the norm in today's football !!!.......
16 out 32 teams of last WC had forign coaches......

with due respect to armin jan, I refuse to vote on this poll coz it doesnt sound right to me.
it sounds like "which is the best car: Audi, BMW, Merc, sony-TV"
      and I'm serious.

... at least until someone here finds a coach blind enough or gutsy enough to take a NEAR-DEAD team on and stake his rep on it.

IFF has no money and will hire whoever is cheaper coach .
Probably Kohan , since he expect not much.

Alidaei has received full amount of his unspecified contract .

if those are my only choices I take Ghotbi.

and that's only because I think he is the best motivator among those candidates. and motivation factor should not be under estimated.. his familiarity with the Koreans is also another factor, I still think his ability to motivate the team is most important factor at this point.. I think the players can embrace him and buy into his pep talk.

but really, our team is so lame that I think MK will be good enough..

MK......... im sorry its not a coachs job to be spiritual advisor.

who knows ... as behzad said, in the end , ghotbi's familiarity with the korean football may play a major role in this drama.

i would most certainly go for a decent foreign coach. with the aid of assistants and watching a couple of weeks of our league, it should become pretty apparent who fits this person's strategy (he is a pro after all) and given that our next competitive game is so long away and that we've lined up some pretty decent friendlies, this guy should have no problem.

if we fired daei to bring an iranian coach, then we have wasted even more time.
We thank and support Mr.Kamran Delan for many years of dedication and service to Iranian Football Community.

Rutemoller is probably too close to Daie and he will be leading the team in the same direction. Daie was already himself just a follower of Branko given the amount of influence he had from him in the 2000's. MK is too inconsistent to be relied upon. I say IFF must give the position to Qotbi. You can bet he has a point to prove having been denied the job the first time around. Plus, he was the assistant to Guus Hiddink (in 2002 World Cup) and knows exactly how to play with the Koreans. He is also very good in pep talk and using the right words to motivate players. Hopefully he will be poised to bring back Karimi and Mobali to TM, and stop the previous coaches' apparent bias in player selection and their persistance on choosing the big-names who should have already retired from the TM a while ago (Hashemian, Kia, Bagheri, etc.) Qotbi doesn't seem like a guy who make foolish mistakes such as bringing out his play-makers (Jabbari, Khalatbari, Karimi) during a crucial game he has to win (these are mistakes both Daie and QN have made) or chicken out against the big opponents. At this point both Qotbi and IFF should put any of their previous issues behind in the best interests of TM and the country. Let Qotbi pick his own assistants, if he wants to keep any of them it is up to him IMHO.

i just think Ghotbi has so many enemies within the system, him being an American to some ppl and without good support to coach, so many things will be thrown his way, but then again the time is too short that he might just be able to take the team through the summer and perhaps be repalced, altho he might not agree to just coach for such a short team...just like Mayeli has asked for a more than just 3 month contract himself.
