How well Ghotbi will do may be in question........
But, I do not believe, any other coach selection, even a good forign coach selection, could have caused the excitement he has already brought with him ,just in last two days....
Iranian football, is defenetly going to the right dirction,Psycologicaly....thanks to Ghotbi's positive attitude.!....he is healing many negativities with his , non-confrontational aproach....
Since his hireing, two days ago, ...the nation's pessimism has drasticaly changed for the better....,a change no one els, could have brought this fast.

Aside from bringing good psychology and a breath of fresh air, Ghotbi is methodically the most appropriate coach who can deploy a sound working system for the national squad. I trust the results (and the quality of TM play) will drastically improve in forthcoming matches.

What I am wondering about is, has he really got more experience than Daei? Headcoachwise not, Daei at least had ACL games as well. As assistant and analyst, yes, but then again Daei had an undisputable player experience.

So in the end we have another Daei. With less beef with current players but also less authority I suppose.

Martin jaan, forget the past, look to the future. Ghotbi is the best option.

I agree, and apparantly , so did the " MAJLES " : which were the real reason for the ghotbi's selection,not kafashian !!,whom was affraid the governement may not like him choosing Ghotbi..and " MAJLES " made it easy for kafashian.

مقداد نجف نژاد نماینده مردم بابلسر در مجلس شورای اسلامی با بیان این مطلب به خبرنگار مهر افزود : کمیته تخصصی فوتبال فراکسیون ورزش مجلس براساس وظیفه و رسالتی که در این برهه احساس می کرد، نشست ویژه ای را برای بررسی وضعیت تیم ملی و انتخاب گزینه مناسب برای هدایت تیم ملی فوتبال برگزار کرد که در پایان پس از جمع بندی نظرات اعضای کمیته، افشین قطبی به عنوان گزینه اول و امیرقلعه نویی به عنوان گزینه دوم به فدراسیون فوتبال و آقای کفاشیان پیشنهاد شد و خوشحالم که فدراسیون فوتبال نیز به خواست و نظر نمایندگان مردم توجه کرد.

نجف نژاد تصریح کرد: پس از اتفاقاتی که ظرف دو هفته گذشته در فوتبال رخ داد و فضای این رشته را دچار التهاب کرد، می بایست در انتخاب سرمربی تیم ملی شاخص های بسیاری باید مورد توجه قرارمی گرفت که پرهیز از مناقشات و تعامل با مربیان لیگ، داشتن ادبیات مناسب و پختگی لازم ، شناخت ازحریفان ، داشتن مقبولیت عمومی و... از جمله مهمترین این ویژگی ها بود که آقای قطبی علاوه بر داشتن بخش عمده ای از این شاخص ها، محبوبیت و مقبولیت خاصی هم بین طرفداران فوتبال داشتند و این ویژگی می تواند تیم ملی را درکوتاه مدت حداقل به لحاظ روحی متحول کند.

نماینده مردم بابلسر با تاکید بر اینکه کمیته تخصصی فوتبال تمام توان خود را برای حمایت از تیم ملی بکارگرفته و اعتقاد دارد می توان با ایجاد وحدت ملی در شرایط موجود زمینه صعود فوتبال ایران به جام جهانی را هموار کرد، اظهار داشت: تیم ملی در شرایط موجود بیش از توجه به مسائل فنی به تقویت روحیه و افزایش توان انگیزشی نیاز دارد و در صورت ایجاد روحیه وفاق و همدلی بر فوتبال کشور پیروزی مقابل کره شمالی و امارات دور از دسترس فوتبال ایران نیست.

وی صعود به جام جهانی را خواست مردم و بویژه جوانان علاقمند به فوتبال عنوان کرد و یادآورشد: صعود به جام جهانی اثبات بخشی از شایستگی های جوانان ایران است و تحقق این امر موجی از نشاط و شادابی ملی را باعث خواهد شد و نباید این فرصت ارزشمند برای حضور در میعادگاه جهانی فوتبال را به راحتی از دست بدهیم.

نجف نژاد تاکید کرد: تیم ملی هنوز سه مسابقه دیگر پیش رو دارد و این ظرفیت در فوتبال ایران وجود دارد تا درسایه تدبیر، استفاده از تمامی پتانسیل فوتبال و حمایت ملی برای چهارمین بار در جمع بهترین های فوتبال دنیا قرار بگیرد و شایستگی ها و قابلیت های فنی خود را به دنیا ثابت کند.

^ at the moment, until the games start, I think the most important person in the camp is Komassi . not even ghotbi or his assistants.

Becoz it is Komassi who has to decide how to manage a bunch of fatigued and tired players and make a regimen for their rest, recovery, and match-readiness, all in a matter of few weeks.

But that's not the end of it!
he wont have all the players avaialble to him as soon as the league finishes ! saba, sepahan, pp and ss have their ACL games and their players will be even more over-worked and fatigued, while joining the TM camp at a later date!
He has his work cut out for him!

I assume the bulk of TM is from these clubs and that really affects the physical status of TM.
the probables are:
PP ---- niki, khalili, karimi, Zareh, Mohamad,
SS ---- Borhani, kazemi, montazeri, shakouri (I hope), jabbari, talebloo, haydari, (hopefully not akbarpoor)
Sepahan --- Hajsafi, Ahmadi, aghili, bengar , (hopefully not khatibi),
Saba --- rezaei, (hopefully not sheyss ),

so we see a huge number of players wont get the needed rest and recovery period for the games.
and that IS a major concern now.

now, I wouldnt be all that concerned about the likes of rezaei, montazeri, bengar, ahmadi, kazemi, mohamad, zareh, talebloo, ... coz they are not likely to be the first choice players anyway.

but players like Borhani, Haydari, Aghili, Karimi, ... maybe even khalili stand a good chance to be the first choice team and having 4-5 players not exactly in top condition in the team is worrisome.

personally, the ONLY good thing I see coming out of ss winning the championship is that its players who are called to TM will have better morale and more positive attitude than before.
( apart from that, mikham sar be tan-e ss O pp nabasheh )

and since ss has about 6-7 prospects in TM, I think it only serves TM good to have them buoyant.


as long as they can translate this victory to a couple of good performances in ACL.
same thing for PP, who will have a large bunch in TM call ups too. and if they advance, that shd have a positive impact on the players.

Well, Zob Ahan at least has two rather fixed players, SS has like 4-5 bench candidates.

But the good thing is that SS has more fans and their championship probably caused a bigger euphoria than ZZ's. Maybe that will help.

1- TM, needs a manager, and a coach is for club level !

2-Forget the past, we are in this together.

3-Psycological support,and positive attitude is the key.

4-I have invited assistants , whom have experince, whom have no Hashieh .

5-I invited many players, because, if we wanted to change any one,later, they may not be in a good shape.and TM, will get smaller as we go ahead.

6- Time is short,that is why we will use the most experinced.

7- We will win !
