Should we get worried about all these defections?

Recent days, we have been hearing about all these players who are leaving TM-camp left and right, and now it's time for Komasi, (Badansaz). The problem with us Iranian that we are so conspiratorial and same time secret like (Masaele poshte parde). Now I wounder what is going on in our camp? We almost never had these kind of problems with Daei in charge (Please don't jump on me since I'm not promoting Daei here). I remember the only side issue we had was Karimi and that was something that media created. Now any reason to be worried? Somehow I get this feeling that the inside climate of the camp is not the best right now and that is not so good in front of these 3 important games.

Confilict of responsibility and little chance with too many players.

Qotbi thought he can keep every one happy by "inviting" them, now he has to find a way to increase the number of squad from 11 to 33, then the rest is easy.

One more for you Essi jan, our chance is little, don't bother to care much.

i dont know how much of tis is conspiracy theory and how much of it is true.

for example, i do know that pirouz ghorbani's injury was legitimate. he quit TM camp and he didnt play against jazeera in the last ACL game and esteghlal had only 2 defenders that game.

      ashjari's injury also seems true.

gholam reza rezaei also didnt play against al ahli in the last ACL game, but then, rezaei had been benched by firooz karimi most of the time recently. so i dont know if he was really injured or not.

the rest, all seemed to have made excuses, but they were all players who had a high chance of getting striked off anyways....

i think wat komasi' interview is hinting is that, ghotbi doesnt pay attention to certain people(the ones that he doesnt believe in apparently?) and they are just there for silenting the public?

when maziar says he feels he is not needed in TM, when komasi says a doctor gives a noskhe to his patient after a test but in TM its int like that,
when the players say there is an unbearable atmosphere in TM camp, it makes me guess that ghotbi "dare beyne bazi fargh mizare, va farghe ziyadi mizare ke shayad baziha ehsase kuchiki mikonan tu un camp jeloye hambaziyashun???"

As a matter of principle , I am totally against "desertion" of camp by players. It does not matter if the player is reserve or a starter. Playing for Team Melli is a national duty and I hope that IFF or the disciplinary committee deals with each case firmly and transparently.

Saying that , I do not wish to undermine the players and dismiss them outright. After all without players there is no team , but history has shown that the players have all sort of tricks and excuses which makes it difficult to trust what they say specially when they blab their mouth in the media.

Afshin "Mr. Nice Man" Ghotbi is facing some tough realities now. This smiley accommodating and cheerful face does not always work in Iran ....well , it goes a few yards BUT it really does not go all the whole 9 yards ( or is it 10 ?) . He made a major error by selecting such a large contingent for the squad hoping to satisfy as many players , crtics , clubs and coaches as he can. Now he is facing the consequences of players who find theselves NOT watnted hence their frustration ...

Like I said in an earlier posting , this squad of Ghotbi was diplomatic rarther than merit based.

In any case , I would still back Ghotbi against the players who abandoned the squad and take the coach side (genuine cases excluded) , after all he is the boss and Team Melli is no parliment open for voting or public demand.

At first I had the same impression , Reza Jan....but ..the issue is bigger than that and it should not be dismissed easily as a peripheral event.

This unruly undisciplined attitude must be tackled at some stage. It really does not matter who is the boss or the coach.

some of the defections has to do with the fact that they knew for sure they are not going to get any playing time and since they all just finished a long season and are tired, they took off so they can rest and enjoy their times with their families.. (that's where moshkeleh khanevadegee comes into the picture )

some of the players just weren't good enough to be there and ghotbi found that out after he had called up. BUT, there are no incentives for Ghotbi to send anyone home packing, since they can keep as many players as they want in camp.. So I doubt ghotbi has told anyone he is out..

Our players for most parts don't have the capacity to handle being excluded or crossed off, or even sitting on the bench, so they left before they reach that point..

The funniest part was that Niki had objected to the fact that he wasn't included

            ----------
            about Komasi,

what I am most disappointed with is the old man Komasi and his interview..

He first says he doesn't want to talk and doesn't want to create "hashyeh" then he says they are lying.. (good thing he didn't want to talk!)

I think they should either talk and say everything, or they should STFU completely..

Ghotbi said last week that they can not do "badan sazai" because of time limitation. all they can do is "recovery"..

Komasi says he gave "noskheh/dastoorat" for players to follow.. my guess is the dutch coach didn't like his "noskheh" and there was a disagreement in what to do with the players in the mean time with such little time..

the point here is our players/coaches/media are used to over dramatizing things. Ghotbi down plays them. other wise, no one gives a hoot about the players/coaches who left or were kept out of the camp, and neither should we..

This is the result Qotbi's system at work !!!

For A western management style to work in , Iranian " Shalam Shoorba ", there is bound to have some casualties !

It must be " Either Qotbi's way, or High way ! ".......

For spoield and undeciplin Iranian personel, this may be hard to sowallow, at first....which is very understandable........

Didn't Komasi and Ghotbi had a showdown in Perspolis last season which eventually lead to Komassi's departure ? Whose brilliant idea was it for them to work together in Team Melli camp???? Obviousely the two cant see eye to eye !!

BTW: I don't care much about Komassi , but if his views or services was not needed for whatever reason like RECOVERY , why on earth would they employs the poor soul ??? was it to embaress him or show him who is the real boss out there ???

Honestly , there are some weird things going on in the IFF .... people who could not arrange a piss up in a brewery.

First of all, TM can't keep all 41 players so quite a few have to be crossed out for these next few matches... If Maziar Zare' is not included it doesn't mean he is out for good. Second and most importanly, so long Ghotbi gets the results I don't care about the details.

...and for that matter, Team Melli is the last stage, you want to start 'law and order' Majid jan.

We talk about a football managment which is fully corrupted. It's not fair to punish ONLY the players. They just follow the stream that says "care about yourself in any situation".

For majority of the players, Team Melli means a bigger contact next season, nothing more.

                      Cheers
