^ Thanks for the input, just would like to know if you put an additional man into the box or just the one near the corner flag and also if you would also mark the opponents at the edge of the area one-on-one?

One of those is how to defend a corner kick.

Assume your opponent is bringing 5 tall players into your box, having two others at the edge of the area for the second balls and, beside the one taking the corner, leaves two players near the middle line to stop counter attacks.

How do you defend? How many and which players exactly (according to your favourite lineup for Team Melli, which you can also present here) will you put in the box, at the post(s), at the edge of the area and near the middle line to counter? Will you only put 5 players against the 5 in the box, or do you add a free sixth man, eg to intercept low crosses early?

Let me know your thoughts. Try to bring a complete answer, this will also help thinking about balance in a team, here between tall and fast players for example.
Your question is difficult as on a corner, other factors are very important as positionning, timing when you jump, Goal keeper timing if is he comes out etc ...

On the first post, defender should be able to "cut" the trajectory of the ball BEFORE any opponent's striker, they are then obliged to position themselves IN FRONT of the oppoenent's forwarder and put the arms so he could prevent any acceleration and position changing at the moment of the corner. (that is why you see so many fights inside the penalty area).

Is the ball is sent at the penalty area, the best positionned person could head the ball and there, the goal keeper should be able to see the trajectory and come out to clear the ball. Many mistakes from the goalie comes when he mixed up the first case (a first post corner) and the second (corner coming at the penalty area). On this issue, the role of the goalie is very important.

At least, if the opponent is bringing 5 tall players, the forwarders and midfielders who are good have to come to defend on a corner while letting at least 2 speedy players ready (one in front at the right or left) and the other one just outside the 18 meters rectangle for a very fast counter attack.
