    We should not be surprized.

We knew something was wrong at the Dadkan Era, and being to late to find the coach, and went we Ebrahimzadeh,as Interim coach.....
We knew something was wrong when Kafashian ......
we knew something was wrong, when we could n't get Clemente.....
We knew something was wrong, when many legioners had gotten old, and no replacement.....,the transitional period,etc,..
we knew something was wrong with The Ali Daei coaching selection.....
    etc,etc,etc......
If some times, players play with an Eye, on God,to help them, we knew, something was foundementaly wrong.........
We knew something was wrong, with the level of TM play at Daei's time....
    .......
We knew, and we know, this team, is not a WC material...and we just kept hopeing........although, still, the hand of GOD may still, help us go to WC, but we all knew better, from the begining.

Although I don't agree on each single claim, you are very correct to point at the many problems in our football.

They need to be adressed, otherwise we won't be able to play successful in future.

      Martin Jaan.....
What do we all, finaly consider as the main reason for our drop in football status ?......we know, there so many issues to blame and so many people to critisize......
Was it Ali Daei's fault ?...No in my opinion, he did not get any top team , to be waisting....nor did he have enough time, or too rediculuse a results.
      Was it Ghotbi ?......NO.
Was it being in Transitional period ?.....NO, becuase, all countries go through that,.
      ......................
Any team will have problems if they keep changing coaches, so close to important games, specialy a team that is in transitional period......such teams, need to have stability, Time, and Chemistry,to develope in time, replacements for the old generation........
      ......................
The only thing to be blaimed,is lack of planning, and understanding of our particular situation, which was IFF's responsibility.

We should take it like a man.....

The South Koreans, japaneas,Australians, even Saudis, play better than this TM we currantly have......
        Even ,Bahrain may be better......
This TM did not even beat UAE convinsingly........

Our,fellow country men in Iran, have been suffering for 30 years, for being misrepresented, and bad manegements........We , the football fans, are no exception, and should accept our inferior system, and should be man enough to accept our shortcomeings, and be willing to pay the price ! as our fellow country men have , every single day.

I for example don't think it was sth wrong to appoint Daei under those circumstances.

What was wrong was that we were in such a strange situation, without a coach for more than 6 months, unable to elect a new IFF president within a year, the new IFF president cancelling the almost finished negotiations with Jorge and failing to find an agreement with Clemente, not having any plan B.

After all that was messed up, Daei was the most logical selection.

I agree,Daei was not the key issue....
            as you said, strange situation:

            1-Delays in IFF persidency.
            2-Delays in coach findings,three times.
            3-Transitional period.
4-So many,Persian gulf players,so many European legioners, caused lack of chamistry.

These were the key issues.....and all other issues, were less important, yet not ideal.

I remember some ppl kept saying "let us not qualify so we can learn from this and fix our problems and shortcomings".

ok, the first part of the equation was realized.
but how many of you expect the second part to be attended to ?

1- will we see a re-construction or restructuring of our football now?

2- will we see good, efficient ppl take hold of IFF ?

3- will we see a fresh view and outlook at how to run our football in terms of management, development, club football, league organization, .... etc etc etc ?

4- will we see a major change in professionalism and profesisonal attitude in our football?

and many more fundamental and infrastructural questions that reflect various & several deficiencies in our football.

how many of you ppl think, now that we have not qualified and have been offered ( yet another ) chance of inward-reflection, we will seize this opportunity and finally get our deficiencies fixed?

              I'll go first.
my answer, as discussed a month back ( and a year and 7 years back ) is NO. WE WILL MUDDLE ON WITH OUR FOOLISH FOOTBALL AND THIS CATASTROPHE WILL NOT CAUSE ANY CORRECTIONAL CHANGE IN OUR FUNDAMENTALS.

                ^^ lol

four years is a long time doc...we can certainly rebuild and i believe we have the talent pool to do so...

personally, I believe we need some top foreign project manager types to go in and revamp the IFF and run it as a professional organization seeking out goals and attaining them. it only takes a couple of visionary people to make a difference...
We thank and support Mr.Kamran Delan for many years of dedication and service to Iranian Football Community.
