Foolad's situation in the IPL this season

So far they have only managed to get ties at home and lose all the away games. The trend points to relegation at the end of the season and starkly compares to their performance last year under Jalali. Do you think the Foolad management were dead wrong for letting Jalali go? I defenitely believe so. The whole thing right now reminds me of Saipa's situation under Littbarski during the last IPL.

It is said; Foolad did not deserve to be in the top league anyway...as they bought thier way in...when " Sepahan e Noveen ",was disqualified, due to being part of " Sepahan " organization, and the inability of the league allowing two teams from same organization ,to be in the same league,..hence, selling thier rights in the " League e Bartar " to Foolad.

I beleive Bonacic will take care of the situation. Remember SS was 14th or 15th at one point last season under GN and it came back to win it all.

Bonacic is very dissatisfied with a few player's comitment level apparently, but he will take care of it. I hope Foolad's management won't panic and give him due time.

Foolad did well in the last IPL, finishing #7 and also beating Zob Ahan in the last match 4-1 to hand Esteghlal the championship. Even a tie would have meant Zob were gonna be the champs. They were the strongest team in the division 1 as far as garnering the most numer of points... but the system of play-offs apparently not working well for a team that is psychologically vulnerable given the fact that the squad has always been so young and inexperienced. In my opinion the question is not whether Foolad deserves to be in the IPL, as they have shown to be able to do very well in it, finishing in the 3rd place twice and even win it all (2005). The problem is whether Bonacic can actually sufficiently motivate his players given the existing language and cultural barriers, something which I am sure Jalali was better in doing. Maybe it's also bad karma, since when they somewhat unfairly let go of Jalali despite his good work, he was understandably not happy.

bonacic is the type of coach who needs not only a long time for his team to do well but also requires a lot of patience, coordination and comprimise from everyone else so his team can succeed. we saw that in sepahan...

That was two season ago, last year Foolad under Jalali did greeat. They beat Zobe Ahan on the last day combined with SS win over Payam for SS to win the title.

By the way for the record Majid Jalali just replaced Bonacic as the head coach. Foulad now rock bottom of the IPL table with only 4 points in 9 matches. Let's see if (and hope) Jalali can rectify this terrible situation.

Thats great but I dont know why this Mladen guy even starts. he has not scored a goals in 18 games.

I am sure Kaveh can do a better job.

He is 32 years old and not a savior for Foulad.

Jalali is mostly talk and it seems he is running out of ideas how to save Foulad. He has few weeks to keep his job.
Bakhtiar, Kaveh, Sasan, Afshin are 4 young and hopeful forwards for future, if there is one for Foulad.
Main problem of Foulad is their Keeper and their MF, particularly DM. they recruited Abolheil, but they fired him because his one leg is shorter!

Can they get a player from Brazil in the rest of the season? They always had one in the midfield area during the previous years. It could have both a tactical and a psychological advantage for Foolad.

If I were you, I wouldn't write off Jalali so fast. Foolad probably lost a lot of quality players and past top players aren't in form this year. A coach can utilize what he has. I don't follow Foolad that closely, maybe Foolad simply doesn't have much this year.

Hope foolad stays in IPL this years. With Sanat Gone, Khuzestan has only 3 teams Foolad and SS Ahwaz and Shahin Booshehr. Khuzestan deserve much more than 3 teams in IPL IMO.
