    What would you do,if you were the TM coach ?

    There is a thread on football forum," What changes do you like to see in TM ? ", that I though may be interesting...and wanted to know what my fellow F+ers,would think.....
    Although, we are aware of the Iranian system,and IFF issues...but what is it that we think, Ghotbi,Branko, Daei ,etc, have consistantly missed ?
    If we could CAPSULATE our thoughts ,about changes, what would that be ?
    ..........
    Changes in our system ?, in personel ?,in assistant coaches ?.....etc,etc ?
    what Would YOU do as a TM head coach ?

    I will go ahead, and state my own opinion, since no one els does.......
    This thread, could actualy sum-up all our opinions, we have been giving, and say once and for all, what is it ,in general,that should be done.

    I would start with the policy of " My way or the high way " !!!,with absolut athuroriterian system...while being polite in front of media, the internal system will be like army....no body talks to any body,unless he is asked by the coach..........one strike will mean resignation :every body is only allowed to talk cheap, and explain things the manner the coaching staff has thought them to speak like.

    1- 3 month camp, with all year long,every year, once a month three day ,meetings and pratices,in addition to FIFA and AFC scheduals.
    .......................................
    2- 50 players, attending all practices. ( this number stays 50 at all time,and only will be reduced for trips ),and only players who show readiness and had implemented the coachings demands the most will be selected for the games ).

    3-Staff of 60 :

    A= Defensive Coordinator ( with 5 assitants )= 6
    B= Offensive Coordinator ( with 5 assistants )= 6
    C= Goal keeping Coordinator ( With 2 assistants )= 3
    D=Physical fitness Coordinator ( with 5 assistants ) = 6
    F=Organizational Coordinator ( with 10 assistants ) = 11
    G= Documantary/ Video coordinator ( with 5 assistants ) = 6
    H = Medical coordinator ( Chyripratitioner/psycologist/sport phisicians/MD/nutritionist )= 6
    I= Football analysts ( 2 )= 2
    K = Media representetives / speaker ( 1 )= 1
    L= Security ( 10 ) = 10
    M= Lawyers / Agents ( IFF,AFC,league negotiators,accountant, scouts,payments to players)= 3
    ..........................

    Agenda : with accordance with European football :

    A= Short passing system.
    B=High speed/high stamina.
    C=Psycological teachings.
    D=Video analysis,of each post .
    F=one hour separate meetings daily for each coordinator.
    G= one hour video.
    H= improvement codas.
    I = out put control.
    J = monthly player elimination.

    ...............................

    4 - 2 - 3 - 1 system......with European assistants,and weekly analysis for modification based on up-coming opponants.....
    A system, to win by any means,based on encouraging players to give thier 110% at all time,phisicaly and psycologicaly.The players will be bomborded with assignments,and demands,on very minute bases.players will take videos and books to study to thier home,and asistants will report hourly.

        But if it has to do with , asking too much.............
        This is the American way doing things..........Organization is more important than personel......personel, are just pawns,and should be over-whelmed by assignments,and psycologicaly exhusted.

          1- the "my way or highway" policy is good ONLY for those tier 1 coaches like capello, wenger, fergi, ... who have shown to be capable coaches who more often than not make the right decisions.

          NOT FOR TIER 10 ANALYSTS WHO HAVENT PROVEN SH*T AND ARE PRONE TO MAKE MISTAKES CONTINUOUSLY.
          these chaps ought to have an ear for constructive criticism and learn from such input also.

          2- the three month camp is not very practical or even possible.
          if during the league season, it's not possible as the league cannot be closed for such a long time.
          if after the league, when do the players rest to re-energize?

          perhaps during a whole year, there could be opportunity for one single month camp and then multiple short-duration camps in between.
          but 3 months? impossible.

          4- staff; I fear your love & passion for NFL has shown itself here.
          in football (the TRUE "beautiful game", not that american style rugby) there just isnt room for this many staff.
          yes, it'd be nice to have a specialist for defensive strategy and another for offensive. but 5 ppl for each?

          poor GN was lambasted for having an "extensive" staff of about 15-16 ppl.
          for a staff of 60, ppl will dismember you.

          and finally the formation.
          beside the point that 4-2-3-1 for IRAN and TM is pure dog-turd, the formation shd be dictated by the style of players we have available and their level of development and football-maturity.

          for the nth time, we dont have players on par w the europeans in terms of development, experience, professionalism as well as our pathetic infrastructure and foundations.

          so if we suddenly want to use what the europeans do without correcting ALL the underlying shortcomings, it'll be like putting a lamorghini's cabin on top of a peykan's chassis and engine. IT JUST WONT MOVE PROPERLY (as seen in TM's performances)

            now, to indulge you, I'd just tick off some of my wish-list:

            1- choose a simplified system and formation for the team that ALL (not just a couple or only a minority bunch) can understand and deliver its required tasks.

            but also have variations at hand. a uni-dimensional team is easily read and countered.

            2- bring in fresh blood and plan for long term.
            so if it means giving the likes of ansarifard and mosalman and ... more time on the pitch.... so be it.

            3- adopt a more positive approach and attacking style.

            4- play with 2 strikers. absolutely & definitely.

            5- selection shd be based on:
            --- (A) the FORM of the player (fitness very important)
            --- (B) the STYLE of the player (characteristics, capabilities, inabilities, ... all considered)
            and not on "names" or "where they play"

            6- Always ... always have a playmaker in the team. even if you have to sacrifice the second def-mid.

            7- have players for both aerial style vs. on the ground game plans, and physical vs. technical sorts as well. gives u flexibility and options to change ur game depending on the opponents or during the games.

            8- ultimate stress on stamina and fitness.
            players ought to be able to run at optimum levels for at least 90 minutes.
            this is imperative.
            we're not facing any immediate urgency to get results like the WCQ's. so there's no need to make exceptions at the moment.

              1-The American system, has proven efficient........and it is not dependent to the type of personel available...it is based on molding the personel to the management's desire.as well as, " The ease to get rid of unwanted personel,for maximom involvement,and fear of losing job ,will creat efficiency".....The selection of personel, will be solely based on potential to serve the system, not individual talent !.

              2-High staff,and high expectencies,....is for
              A= the creation of atmospher of " WAR ", and " 110%" involevment.
              B= Creation of extreem competition,to get 110%.
              C= Killing of " I ", ( or " MAN " in farsi ), for " US ", and the team.
              D= Basij.
              F= providing the atmospher of " Teaching ",and " reward ".

              3- When the goal is set " to win, the WC ", no lesser organization would do !,and if the goal is " not to win the WC ", it is the first sign of compromize, and first sign of giving up.......The goal,needs to be set high,so demands could be justified.

              payman jaan, your beliefe of , designing according to what we have,is a short term compromise.......,
              While, what I propose, is to ever evolving players, since the players " ARE COACHED CONSTANTLY" by assistants, and videos,and practices for pre-thought system..............players must either improve,or get the hell out !

                IFF/PEO = VERY limited budget,atleast their policy is that way.

                hence, the kise of the khalife required for ur proposal is the kise of khalife roman, na khalife kafashian/saeedloo

                      and not what should be done !
                      If I am there, I will do exactly as I said I would......
                      I have already managed business in IRAN, and currantly have 18 employees working for me........
                      While, in general, it is a very lazy system, and every body demands more than they deserve....but, if employees selected very carefuly, and paid well, we could have high expectations....
                      My experince tells me, that, AZARY, people, turks, make better emplyees, and have higher wrok athicks.

                        khob bahram khan, the answers should still be within the boundaries of realism right?
                        otherwise i would bring guss hiddink as coach, bring the best medical team from germany, bring top coaches for all IPL and azadegan league teams etc.

                        i think there would be ahuge difference between someone running a private business in iran with 18 employees and kari be kare kasi nadashtan, and running the federation of a football which represents 70 million people and is an ocean full of money, corruption and opportunity.

                        i too think azeris and esfehanis on average are more hardworking and talented in their jobs.

                          May be it is because I have lived in USA,and am an American citizen.....but,I am a firm believer, the answer to everything, is " management "......I realy believe, a McDonnald resturant manager,in USA, can do a better job, in IRAN, as a football coach, than " GhaleNoee "....!!!!!
                          It may sound funny, but I realy believe so...
                          More over, the Key for IRANIAN TM, more than anything, is a top manager,...and not " Guss hiddink "......
                          take look at , USA national football team,and its progression.......it is purely based on manegement....as they have no,top coach,that has any internationaly accepted credentials..
                          I know the system in IRAN....I know what is about..........it is very similar to a " JOKE " once I heard about the diffence between IRANIAN " Hell ", and American " Hell ".......which, one day, they have bucket, but do not have the fire, one day they have the fire, but not the bucket,etc,etc........
                          But, I am convinced, High expectancy, high reward, high assignment,would work......................
                          The Key is , paying the out most attention, to the small things !!,and big things,will take care of themseleves.
