^ depends on whom one asks.
a bunch of kids who just see flash, or a bunch of other chaps who actually watch the performance of the player and quality of delivery of tasks?

but then again, I bet you knew this already anyway

a 26 years old karimi with bayern experience could have been more fatal
than a 31 years old karimi with bayern experience.

remove the AC04 and all you have of the pre-bayern karimi is a guy who dribbles mindlessly and i all flash, with little contribution to teamwork, litle pace and a very selfish style that kills the momentum of the team. (yeah, some kids would get excited watching a guy dribble 3 players. but we all know such moves dont really get the team anywhere unless it is aligned with the team's tactics)
the AC04 stands out only becoz of his 3 goals vs korea. otherwise, nothing much to write home about.

but the post-bayern karimi is a true all-rounder who added multiple facets to his game and became a team player, a good defender, more energetic and active, and even a good center of gravity for the team.

Of course, let's forget that in 2008 he was 4 years older and post-injury.

Sounds great... now you mind telling us how bad Karimi's team did during those times?
