    ...and God Created Spain NT!!!

If Spain don't lift the WC on 2010, they should go and suicide all to gehter.

Did you watch Spain vs Poland today? If not, you missed the best NT soccer performance. The result is 6-0 but, go and watch the damn game.

The whole time, commentators were talking about how the coach picks his 11 starters. Any guess will be as good as others. They have 23 players, all at the same level. No joking, check the damn game.

This Spain is an amazingly talented team which actually plays as a team and benefits from the most lethal offensive players, Fabregas coming back from injury is a blessing for them. I am betting on Spain this year!

    Here are the goals:

I truly wish that either Spain or Argentina win it. It's the biggest sporting event on the planet and most people want to see a real festival both on and off the pitch and I really can't stand yet another defensive team winning it like Greece '04 or Italy '06.

Spain plays beautifully and they are Euro champs, thats why they are favorites, both by oddmakers and fans, but I don't think they'll win it.
1- Spain has traditionally been pretty bad at the World Cup
2- They will have tons of pressure on them, and they do best with no pressure (ie: EURO 08)
3- They probably have the hardest path to the final (excluding the group stage)
4- Teams will play negative football against them and one of them will probably succeed.

i didnt see the spain or holland game but i do believe the dutch also seem to have a lot of talent and potence, specially upfront.
their defense however seems to be a problem!

Nice analysis and I hasten to say that I agree MOSTLY.

Spain lacked championship pedigree for decades , despite having the highest standard of league football, the most expensive players , the richest clubs and a galaxy of talented stars. However , their European success and lifting of the trophy could be the catalyst for change in this undoubtedly talented team.

If we want to talk about champions , it is teams like Brazil , Italy , Germany and Argentine that comes to mind. Others like Spain , England and Holland are not in the same league of championship pedigree. It is not enough to have talent and play beautiful football. Winning the World Cup requires that extra yard.

Spain and Holland might turn the World Cup table upside down in South Africa. Two equally powerful and entertaining teams.

Well, the beauty of Poland game was, Polish tried so hard to play physical. They were not successful.

Spain is not a bunch of talented players, they really play like a club, like a real team, and they are so deep that injury has almost zero effect on them.

Yes, they have no experience on winning World Cup and that may haunt them in the process. If there is a justice in this world, they should win the damn WC.

                Cheers,

                    No argument on that.

It seems their god has some talent. Our god make Algeria and grass olling Bahrain. I guess he became "god" with some conection (party bazy).

Thank that "god" for Germany's youth. They really kick-started the so far disappointing, ear screeching buzzy, boring and conservative on the verge of negative world cup with a fantastic display of flowing, attacking and positive football empowered by youthful hunger!

I can't wait to finally see an entertaining match, and that indeed is Spain vs. Switzerland. This World Cup has so far been extremely boring, most teams have been performing super conservative and defensive-minded, quite honestly this has been one of the slowest and least exciting WCs I have ever watched. Hopefully Spain will add some excitement to the tourney.

Well, it seems Spain choked again. How on earth, you can have 75% possession and still lose?

Saying that, the Swiss goal was the ugliest and luckiest goal in this world cup so far.

I remain optimistic on Spain. However, based on the first game, I admit the only team deserves the crown is Germany.

Well unfortunately it's the recent years' trend. Defensive, effective and result oriented football performed with an almost physical brutality. We saw the exact same thing happening to Barcelona in CL recently. Most teams have taken note and are doing the same. Most teams, even the role model of joga bonita, Brazil, have chosen a more physical squad and less technical players.
