^ lol. have you riden one? a vespa, I mean.
they are fun. but not very obedient to the rider, if you know what I mean.

2 days left and I just cant control myself. it would be an utter heart break for the dutch if they lose this one too!!
spain is the better team, but they have their Achilles heel too. like vs. barcelona, if the dutch press from up front and put pressure on pique and puyol and prevent the ball gettin to xavi or iniesta, they will neutralize the spanish game. coz lobbing the ball only helps the taller, more physical dutch in the middle ..... if only van bommel wouldnt act like a bi*ch in heat an get red carded.

capdevila's gonna have a hell of a time against robben and who knows, perhaps the fate of the match will be decided from a free kick or even a penalty.

I really like spain, but this time, I'm rooting against them

      just kidding.

The fate is with Spain to win their first world cup and do a euro world cup double. They haven't produced their best before the Germany game but in the semi-finals they showed what they're made of.
When I heard post match interviews of Alonso and Fabregas after the Paraguay game I knew Spain wil beat Germany from how confident they looked and said they will raise their level against great teams!

I think this is very relevant.

“When you look at Spain, you see Barcelona, you see Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets and Pedro in midfield, players who want the ball but then will put pressure on high up the pitch to win it back.”
“Spain, a replica of Barca, is the best publicity for football. Who am I supporting? I am Dutch but I support the football that Spain is playing.”

Johan Cruyff in his column in El Periodico de Catalunya.

HOMER: Son, when you participate in sporting events, it's not whether
you win or lose.... it's how drunk you get.

Very good point, even Messi without the Barca's midfield behind him could not score for Argentina.

Now don't get me wrong. I am neither a fan of Spain nor Holland; my team just finished third today.

looks like Paul was correct once again

but I'm happy. I admit the better and the more positive team won. good for spain and definitely good for football.

I really dont know what's going through Robben's mind after having 2 clear cut chances to put the game away!! and as the age old saying goes: ageh nazani, mikhori

I just wish it wasnt after yet another mistake by the ref (corner kick not given).

YEAP.... Spain is the World Champion....by a whisker.

They certainly deserve it and although they stumbled initially and despite their star studded line up , they did not have the killer instinct of the youthful German , I am personally glad for Spain and I also believe it is good for football.

I think this is the end of an era for the Spaniards , though. I can't see this team going very far and I doubt that in Brazil 2014 , we will see anything resembling this team

^ if they get a goal-hungry, AND TALL/PHYSICAL striker, I dont see how they wouldnt just gobble up the next euro-2012 and the next WC.
they need some height and hunger to score goals.
otherwise, they have a squad young enough to go through the next euro champs, the next WC and even the euro champs after that one too.

although looking at the germans, I think they would give spain a hard run for their money. and perhaps the dutch can racapture some of their old "total football finesse" mixed with their new "hard n gritty" style

Holland played in the final as if it was Kong Fu fighting, specially that De Jong kick to Alonso's chest which should have been a straight red.

In any event perhaps we could use The Octopus for the Asian Cup/Ghotbi.
