yes, 13 coaches who have actually qualified for the WC earn less than the guy who failed, despite knowing our rivals like the back of his hand !!

and these are not just ANY coaches or ANY crappy country. check the list:

Payman jaan......why so much against Ghotbi ?!

Although, you have not done that as much as certain members here who keep opening threads rediculing Ghotbi......
I can understand why they do that in Iranian media.......
Do not get me wrong, I do not htink he is any big deal......I just do not think any domestic coach deserves his post !...they all are just so unqualified !

My personal preference would be a good forign coach, but even though Ghotbi is far less than what he advertizes himself to be...I still think, comparetively,he has better understanding of what is today's football !

He may not be a head coach material for some good teams, but, he after all, was a technical, and video analyst for top coaches !....
and that quality by itself, still is way above any other coach understands in IRAN.......
The shape TM and its players have been, recently, it has not been a rght time for a top forign coach.......and Ghotbi, should be suppoeted considering all circustances !....beside, he is yet to lose a game in international venue !

He needs same kind of benefit of doubt that some other goof-balls recieved !

well, you yourself, have said what needs to be said: he isnt good, lacks quality,.... and that is enough reason for me to not want him at TM.
clubs? who cares. give the bugger a club so he can go screw himself and the club.
but the NATIONAL TEAM? we shdnt f**k around with this one.

secondly, you said just becoz he was analyzing games for some coaches that automatically makes him a better coach than our vatani ones, as deficient as they are.
I just cant agree with this.

lets see what his duties were. he was hired to keep track of different and separate issues like the opponent team's use of flanks, use of X or Y players, what they use more, are they more defensive or offensive, or X or Y player are left or right footed, or do they pass more or run more or shoot or ... etc ete etc.
most of us can do this with a computer
you populate a pre-formed chart with many items and categories and voila. you're done.
then you deliver the data to the coaching staff

now, how does that make him a quality coach?

besides, we've seen how terrible he's been in the year he's been coaching TM and what's stronger evidence of his incompetence than his performances?

"he is yet to lose a ....." ?????????????? I think you stopped watching ghotbi's team after the north korea game

What do you think Ghalenoerr ( supposedly the best coach in IRAN ) can do ?
Do you think, he teaches very sufisticated german/spanish style games !!, or physical fitness ? or how to kick ? or how to head the ball ? what do you realy think Domestic coaches know additionaly ??
The Job of Iranian coaches, has always been to set pieces against eachother, as to creat mismatches ! anaylsing the opposining team and its players, and set up a game plan and select players accordingly...........and that is what Ghitbi does ,better than Ghalenoee or ebrahimzadeh,etc,etc....additionaly Ghotbi uses better psycology.............
All these are , " Reletive " as we said :
        IMOP !!!

comparing his stats in official games with Ali Daei says a lot already to me and confirms my position towards ZZGLOO's post!

In all honesty, I don't think it's surprising. We have to pay more imo as working in a hostile Iran is no easy feat. Simply to make up for current living conditions, I think the fee is justified.
We thank and support Mr.Kamran Delan for many years of dedication and service to Iranian Football Community.

I don't think one needs any deep analysis prowess or intellegense for that matter , to figure out that when it comes to acheiving results on the pitch , GN and Daei are beating the US$800,000 Ghotbi , hands down.

I don't know about the psychology part ...but let us hear your "Yes and buts and Ifs "

Well..... that was short and sweet !

Official game is a game between two FIFA members countries , including competitive games and friendlies. FIFA ranking are based on official games. Now , If you have your own definition ....!

So , I understand that the coach psychology works in official games only , in friendlies anything psychological positive is thrown out of the windows and as a result , a proud country with a football heritage and championships gets clobbered by 4 goals from a little island such as Bahrain.....Pretty difficult concept to digest , IMHO

About Daei's stats , I thought you already have such data and hence you came up with your assumption ....why ask me ?

In any case , if that is your understanding .......but you still have not told me how you came up with such understanding ...

well,,, what I mean is non-friendly games but competitive games.
In friendly games coaches experiment, their achievments should be judged by competitive games!
This is where I come from!

That was rethoric question, since everyone including myself knows, that you have keep great stats and good data of our football!
