^ yes, I did see z-pour's gestures to nekounam.
we saw the same chaos and indecision during daei's coaching too, where players actually took permission to take freekicks!

a proper coach would have covered all these BASIC aspects of the game much before the start of the game. we shd know who is to take which kicks from which side and how and ... . thank God the int'l coverage didnt show much of it as you say the iranian one did focus on it!!

again, for those who say why we bring these matters up; it is the REPETITION of problems that shd be worrisome. some of us may have pretty low standards for ourselves and ours TM. hey. fine by me. to each his own.
but dont try to impose your low standards on others.

brings me back to another example I used way back in 05. some ppl are extremely happy and even ecstatic with an omlette. cool.
but dont expect EVERYONE to be so. some ppl may want their fessenjoon ba hameh-ye mokhalafaat.
you be happy with ur omlette and continue to be utterly grateful to the chef for throwing an omlette in front of you. and some of us will ask what we deserve.

maybe we'll get it , maybe we wont.
but by God, at least I'm not going to keep quiet and reduce myself to that level to be grateful for that pile.

One thing we must not forget is that the Brazilian players are far more talented than the Iranian players, so we should not expect Iranian players out pass or dribble Brazilian ones, because well that just isn't possible. PSV can't beat Barca either. However they can beat Ajax.
Same goes for us, I think with the inclusion of players like khalatbari, Rezaei, Aghili and maybe even Karimi and Kaebi, we really could have a good chance for getting a good result in the AC.
However some things must change fast. No hajsafi as LB, no Zeinedpour and no ashoobi anymore. A slighty different formation wouldn't hurt either as the 4-2-3-1 isn't really for us.
But I guess all of this is wishful thinking.

        .
        1 (blue):
I dont think anyone expects that. but as an int'l team we shd do fairly ok. we didnt.
in khabar varzeshi, they ran a set of stats with regards to the number of passes done by each team in the two halves.

        brazil
        first half --- total passes ( 273 ) --- successful passes (251)
        second half ---- " " (286) ---------------- " " (264)

        iran
        first half ---------- total (172) ---------- successful (154)
        seond half -------- " " (184) --------------- " " (165)

and bear in mind, almost 75% of our passes were between :
rahmati, nosrati, jalal, hajsafi and heidari ..... meaning in our own 1/3rd.

pretty much the useless, waste of time kind of passes that lead to nowhere.

        this is simply not acceptable!

        ******************

        as for the red part:

        HOW DARE YOU SIR?
dont put your hand into the mouth of a lion (ajax), unless you're ready to say goodbye to it forever.

Maziar Zare' is the best current free kick taker in Iran. He scored a rocket versus Malavan (his former team) today but as a respect to them he did not celebrate. I hope Maziar gets an invite from Ghotbi before the Asian Cup.

And come on IFF, get us a friendly with Holland next!

Brazil's "B team" (lol) just defeated Ukraine 2-0 in England. The game wasn't better nor did Ukraine play better than us at all.

Goals by Dani Alves and Alexandre Pato. Ukraine had 1 chance, Brazil several more.

^ Ukraine isn't a good team (anymore), they've got 2 players in Moscow and 1 benchwarming in Munchen and the rest plays in Ukraine.

They played a draw against Canada and the "Youth" Dutch side in last couple of months.

Even the real Olympic team of Brazil could win against this Ukraine

I believe Ukraine U-23 beat Holland's U-23 3-1 in Holland just a couple of days ago in their ECQ match.

True, but Dutch U-23 national team is usually not that good (compared to the level of their National Team enjoys in the world), and that's because, unlike Iran, Dutch players debut on a (very) young age in the real national side. So the U-23 is usually left with leftovers.

But then again calling them leftovers is a bit harsh, but you get what I mean....

I like a friendly match with Holland, I want to see how Rahmati performs against Klaus Jan Huntelaar. He is currently the leading goal scorer of the Euro 2012 quals with 8 goals. (Miroslav Klose is next with 6 goals.)

Btw. anyone seen maij these days? Did he get banned or something?? Just curious.

Please not! Do you know what this Dutch team would do to Iran?! I will never be able to show my face in the streets again after the match lol

They totally raped Sweden on Tuesday. Sweden didn't even create 1 decent chance.

Of course I meant except for the goal. The lob was an ok chance indeed.
